Exactly what I’m saying, I have all my passwords and cards locked because my little siblings like to use my card on robux. So I locked it and I know the password but it’s not working anymore for some reason. I hope apple fixes this in a future update.

I never remember setting a password for Notes, I thought you could just use Face ID. I did reset the password so now I know it. Luckily I only locked passport and driver licenses pictures, and somehow there is an Uber note that I never remembered making. When I tried the new password on the old locked notes it did not give me a hint, which I would have put in if I ever locked it in the first place. Now the new test file opens with Face ID. Thanks for the video.

Mine too… I’ve never set a password. Aleays unlocked with Face ID. Now it asks for a password. Made it’s a bug.

With him I got my notes back
For me, I was able to remove it after going to settings and tapping on note and just signing into my iCloud acc. It worked.
Reset password only works for future notes password. But my issue is I couldn’t access my old notes and even my Face ID is not working, they are asking me enter password and than note will open. I seriously forgotten. Help me here please 🙏

This could’ve been a 15 second video on how you can’t unlock old notes even if you reset the password. It only if you remember the old password can you reset it to the new one. Guess what? I don’t remember my old password so in short, I am screwed. #takingtheL
i've been writing things in the same locked notes for months and i've never had a problem getting into it bc it always asked for face ID and now it asks for a password but i'm 99% sure i never created a password but even if i did it would've been the only password i've ever used for the last 6 year and it simply won't work. the rest button isn't an option anymore and i'm so furious

this does not make sense... if you are unable to unlock the note, you are unable to see what that note is. so you cannot copy anything...
My dumbass decided to use the hint, “Hormones 😉” . So I used every single sexual joke or word/phrase i could think of and i still couldn’t get it.

But what if you can’t access the old notes because you don’t know the password? Resetting for new notes going forward doesn’t help open the old one

This worked fine for me because I only wanted to lock future notes. I didn’t care about the old notes.

This is just clickbait,"The solution to the note whose password you forgot is just to enter the password, and copy paste the contents onto another note" this solves nothing.

my face id suddenly disappeared today, i made the passwords probably when i first got my iphone (july of 2020) there’s no way i can’t figure it out. and when i go to settings it says that face id is already enabled but it won’t appear , apple seriously needs to fix this
update: i ended up deleted the whole app and forgetting all about my notes 👍🏻 thank goodness i didn’t have any important passwords or info in there it was just my diary for 2 years straight. i installed the app again and had a fresh start because u cant even delete the notes they will still ask for the password
You can reset, your old notes passwords by just keep putting in every possible password then, eventually one of them will be correct then a message will pop up saying do you want to update your password for old notes. And turn on Face ID for them and boom it’s done.

I just lost all the last notes me and my friend ever wrote to each other now that I forgot the password I have no way of ever seeing them again, what a wonderful os apple.
If you forgot your password, just go into the locked note and copy it to a new note.
Yeah... that helps a TON when you did not have a biometric method of unlocking the note when you locked it and it's locked with an ACTUAL password.
I stored images that were important to me on a note but I didn’t wanted someone to see them so I put a password on it. I thought I will make different password than what I normally use. I was stupid. The hint doesn’t help either. I hope apple will make a „forgot password“ button someday

You guys I’d forgotten mine as well, but here’s a tip. I think you’re password is probably a pincode, so think of past pincodes!! Even the one to unlock your sim!!!
I forgot mine but I know for sure it's not a pincode. The hint is "my future". 😭
@@abocadopit 😶😶 maybe a year then. I’m saying it’s probably a code (4 numbers) bc a couple years ago the only password you could give in was numeric. Now you suddenly got the option of typing letters as well. But if you made the passcode more recently 😬😬

The Title of this video clearly says here's how to reset your Notes password if you forgot it. Yet you didn't tell us how to reset it.

After weeks of trying to remember my password, I just made a lucky guess, and it was correct. But I also made a discovery that will only work if your notes are set to unlock with Face ID. So try the following:
Make sure to set your notes to unlock with Face ID. Next, reset your Notes password for future notes.
Click on the locked note.
At the top right corner, press the dotted circle and a menu will open.
Press the Remove button. Your face should give it permission to remove the lock and open that note. You may now add the lock back that will use the new password. I hope that works for everyone.
So I found a way to access the Face ID again!! All you have to do is delete one of your locked notes and it will ask you to enable your Face ID for the action and then all your notes will be unlocked

PSA‼️‼️All you have to do is delete the whole note which is locked and right before you delete it it’s gonna ask do u wish to allow face id and then when u say yes it will scan your face , delete the note and then u can go to your recently deleted notes and it will let you get the note back and will scan your face and let u view the information in the notes , NOT FALSE INFO ‼️
