Your work is excellent and has become a great source of inspiration for me. I have learned so much from watching your videos. One thing I haven’t been able to understand is how do you mark out stone around a circle with equal gaps in the middle? How does your fist mark meet the last one perfectly?
Personally I would drill the circles but hes that good I guess personal preference. Knows where his drill is going
Comment is super late but thata gorgeous love the forks you put on the outside claws
Ha ha thank you!
great job.
Thanks !
Profissional. Sou do Brasil meu sonho é aprender com vc.
Bruno Bento thanks !
Hi its very nice work thanks for this video...ı see that you set the diameter 1.35mm...but ı dont understand how do you know that the 0.05 mm gap will be complete..because its the circle...
Thank you for not answering
Hi Herman, Sorry due to a lot of messages I didn't got a chance to reply. You continue with the indication lines but with a smaller or slightly larger radius. This way you will end up at one of the beginning points
Hi is it posible to show how your gravers are shaped and what specifick angles you briht cut with them. And do you use a grave max ore something similar.Im a goldsmith from south Africa but would like to set as well.Love your work
Hi Henk, I usually work with a 60 degree carbide graver. To make angles or circles I round the graver. I have some videos where I sharpen my gravers. But this content is 'hidden' between the stonesetting. Good luck!
Great work!! Two questions please..
The knife graver, why is the belly shaped this way?
And the flat graver that you use to shape side of the prongs,is it completely straight? No angle face?
HI Oro a Mano, The knife engraver is cut like an eagle nose so it doesnt create drag heal. As for the flat graver this is completely straight but with a 45 - 60 degree face.
Is there a reason why you cut seats with the ball bur first instead of citting the side borders first? Wouldnt it be easier to cut the borders in a continuous cut first?
Hi Access, everyone has his own method, this allows me to create a beautiful shining border going 'into' the seat of the diamond. I prefer this over first cutting the sides. But if you work the other way around it's not wrong or anything ;-)
@@heinikendude that's a good point.. thanks. i have never done such a setting but want to learn. I see videos of people doing both ways so wanted to know why
You're welcome ;-)
skillful fingers
Thanks man!
Beautiful.. Thanks for posting. How did you split the prongs?
👍
I did this with a very tiny made prong splitter from an old round bur
👏👌
Thanks!
Are you using a 13 round burr?
Hi Kendoka82, I start off with smaller burs, eventually I go indeed upto 1.30mm round burr ;-)
don't see split the prong
Vijay Kesarkar you’re right I didn’t record that specific part. Sorry for that. You can see me splitting a prong in the other videos
I think not possible 0.05 gap
Vijay Kesarkar thanks for your comment. We chose to do a split prong with some space in between the diamonds on the request of the customer. ;-)
for a rolex?
Hi, no this was just a pendant ;-) But we can make one for a Rolex
@@heinikendude I ask because I have a diamond bezel but dont like the setting. Its a track setting you can say instead of the prong which I like the best
