  • This week I have been driving the 2023 Volvo XC60 PHEV Recharge on of the best plug in hybrid's of the year. It is also my favorite car I have driven so far this year.
Check out the video on ‪@PRNTestDrive‬ : • Uncovering the Secrets...
The exterior is very nice to look at with that white color the only thing that we are missing is that blacked out package. We also have the best looking rims available on this trim they are 22 inches! It has 4 sensor to lock and unlock all the doors something we do not see too often. Since this is the ultimate trim we have things like a 360 degree camera Air suspension and an upgraded sound system.
The interior is a very simple and comfortable place to spend time. All the systems are easy to use and understand the infotainment display is a little small by todays standards. The front and passenger seats both have a massage feature as well as being very adjustable.
The worst thing about the XC60 is the price and a fully loaded 90K not many people will be able to get their hands on it.

Have one and totally agree. I hope they keep the screen size as it is, you really don’t need anything bigger. Have had the same size in my XC40 2018 and it’s the IMHO the perfect size

I had a nice used Volvo XC90. Loved it. This is such a nice vehicle. I don't like the start stop turn dial. Wow you have suspension lowering capability. I love the wood sticking out and nice interior. Love that in the back got a panel to get in the back. Also loved how the seats curve around you. Sadly to broke to get it.

I ordered mine in Canada in December 2022 and it was delivered as promised before early June. FYI earlier models had a manual drive mode selector but it was taken out to save costs. You’ll also notice there are no fog lights on the Recharge version… to save costs. I went for a super nice beige two-tone interior which feels classy and less boring than all black. You should have mentioned the amazing sound of the Bowers (with an S) and Wilkins sound system and also the possibility to recharge the battery while driving on gas (especially on the highway). Amazing engineering job on this powertrain.

Ordered mine in March, according to the specs the Euro version comes with a wireless charger but no wireless CarPlay. You don't really need it though, the Android system is very good. Expecting delivery in January.

FYI, this is not the chrome (bright) version, it's the "dark" (black) version and BTW, 2024 models will only come in the dark version (so my dealer tells me), Just be prepared for a very long wait if you order one. I ordered mine in December 2022 and it is still not here (30 July 2023) but scheduled for August, apparently!

Is there different with 22 inch wheels and 21 or 20" with the comfort?

Have a 2020 Volvo Xc60 B5 Mild Hybrid. Not too impressed by the economy on it. Ordered a 2024 Volvo Xc60 T8 Ultimate Recharge, seems like it should be good and save us on lots of fuel. Great review by the way

May be mixing volvo with another maker, but the regen braking (“one pedal driving) has aggressive braking levrls 1 thru 5. Think at 5 one pedal will brake to near zero but drivers needs to finish up to complete stop. Most people love it.

I’m comparing the XC60 Recharge with the Kia Sportage PHEV, will buy one or the other once I can actually get in both cars. Thanks. Helpful review.

You asked how long they last- so I have a 2001 Volvo V70 T5 that I've driven for 17 years (I got it off-lease, 5 years old with 65,000 miles). It now has 210,000 miles. So, they tend to last awhile. In the '70s they had 6-digit odometers, because they knew they'd last a long time. This is one of the vehicles I'm considering replacing it with. I'm just hoping they put the T8 on the V90 Cross Country soon, because that's my top choice.

What happened to the inside hood sound insulation? Don’t they have that foam or whatever material they use these days?
