- Have you ever caught a bass on a float?
I remember when I was young the old man used to set me up on a float and leave me work in out. Now 20 years down the line I still use the tactics. Its amazing how effective it is.
Not only is float fishing a fun thing to do. But collecting bait can be also. The video consists of collecting bait with a net, keeping the bait alive and then floating them for bass.
Plenty of tips along the way,.

Just retired and started to take up fishing once again. Using a couple of carp match rods with float for snipe and mackerel. I just love the way you stay excited when you catch something and not dull and weary like some other channels ive watched lately. Any vids on spinning, trend all year so far and not caught 1, must be doing something wrong

Wow great fishing and techniques. May be daft question, but how do you see when float dips with bites in dark?
That area is lit up so it’s easy to see. If it’s dark though and you can’t see it. I would usually add a tip (green) light into the top of the float

Great from start to finish👍I know the frustration of bass feeding also, Ive throw all sorts of lures out for hours with no follows or takes and I wipp out a live peeler from the traps on the free line 5 minutes after and bamm bass on ..... I've not done the live baits yet I have my portable pump set up ready to roll .... now all the crabs have finished peeling in my local river the time for live baiting for myself is now as the bass won't get side tracked on crabs.... I'm thinking of using white koi fry as there a pound a fish atm and the water I fish is bracish??? Think it could work 🤔

I never fished with floats, what size/ grams float to try?
Depends on the size of the livebait. As long as the live bait don’t pull the float down

Sorry just replying. Unsure will have to look but small carp like circle hooks nothing special

No worries and thanks for coming along. It’s better to fish for these in this area at night. The birds tend to take the live baits from the surface in the day

Hey mate, what kind of filter do you use to keep the baitfish alive and where can you buy from ?
I buy mine from a local tackle shop. Just ask for an airiator. All tackle shops sell them. 👌👌 I usually break or drop mine in the water so always get a new one 😂👌

Unsure on this mate I will find out and get back to you. Not big though like a carp circle hook and small enough to not till kill the live bait
