Thanks for the video Josh ! I really like it when you tip the camera back to show your face upside down. It’s especially nice to be able to look up your nose and see what kind of surprises are up there. BTW, got my first Walleye at our Minnesota fishing shack today. It was a 23 incher !!!
I'm glad it's forbidden over here in the Netherlands to use any live bait except for bugs. Still, fish would be sort of okay, I guess, but I will never understand how anyone could put a hook through an animal that most definitely feels pain, like a salamander or a frog.
Hey josh, you have been a big inspiration to me and got me to want to catfish. I have tried many times and got nothing but small bullhead and random baitfish, trout or bass. Tough place to catfish, lol. But, yesterday i was using a chunk of bullhead on my medium rod. I hooked up and had the best fight ever with my first channel cat, 14 lbs or 30 inches! I was very happy with that i didn’t even fish the rest of the day
Brother where can I buy one of these at bait prices? I want one for a pet and they are hard to find usually only from one sketchy website that brown boxes.
Josh I had an issue similar while Salmon fishing with Jerks and Squarebills as I have to use 25 leader , I started tying a loop knot so it's not cinched down on the split ring, made all the difference in how they ran. PaPow
Are those salamanders or are they newts. I got a hold of a big one out here in the ditch I just happened to kick around some leaves and that baby was almost 8 in
Josh!!!!!!!!! You dirty stash tickler, come to Missouri, come around cass county and we'll hit some of dinky creek/rivers around and get into some flats, high water is helped a lot and been catching them down here pretty good this year. AND GREAT VID AS ALWAYS!!!!!!! love watching your videos
A word on your rig. Slide a swivel Up your line, preferably a pretty small one. Then tie on a big swivel. Tie your hook to main swivel with a 6 inch leader (bigger swivel). Tie your weight to your leader with a 18 inch-3 foot leader depending on angle of rod and type of structure. Puts my baits in fishy spots without losing my rigs. I usually use a few granny nots to the weight so that it comes untied with enough pressure
Have you ever tried throwing glide baits for flatheads. I know it’s a long shot but that would be a cool vid. I bet they’d eat a shad glide bait in a spillway
Such a cool fishing spot, a huge spill way with only like 15 yards width of river underneath. So many fish and so many different species as well. Could bank fish there all day. Always love watching videos at this spot. It’s almost like fishing in one of them fountains people throw coins in at the mall 😂
How is there never any other people where you fish? Where I live if there was an awesome spot like that there would be about 15 Mexican or Hmong families lining the banks and you wouldn’t even me able to get a line in the water 🤣
Yeah my grandpa told me if I want a sure way to catch flathead was to use the mud dogs. And I don’t remember where he would hook them either, but of course he said it was important and I’ve forgotten
How do you catch big flathead or any flathead in such a small area of water? It looks no deeper than 2-3 ft right there. Saw another video of yours the same way. How do the flatheads get in there especially the big ones? Genuinely curious on this as I have never caught a flathead and don't know much about them. I think it's cool you catch big fish in very little water... makes me wonder what fish I've passed up just thinking it was "too shallow".
I stopped by there on my way through a few weeks ago and was raining on me but caught a couple largemouth and a channel.... was raging like it is here now too...
I used to buy mud puppies which are basically salamanders at the bait shop but I never use them as bait I always just kept them as pets they're pretty cool. But yeah no doubt a big flathead would eat gobble those things up.
Just got a Stache Stick and a beanie for myself as an early birthday gift. I felt kind of sorry for Josh after that one micro catfish so I figured if he moved some merchandise it would help boost his ego.😂 Actually I enjoy all the videos, successful trip or not.
Brother as dirty as that water is you just need to use straight braid 80 lb especially the big fish are going for and the way they grind on those rocks good luck brother you are the man
Let’s get Josh to 169k 😂
Been subbed many years
U mean Ned Flanders 😂
How many times can a man get a 69? 1 maybe 2? Idk
Many years best fatty flatty catcher.👌🏼
Yes! We can hear you!

Nice dude!! Never caught a walleye, I live in the south sooo 😂
Always a good day when Josh uploads
Yes sur. We used to use water dogs all the time when I lived in AZ. Numerous catfish were caught. Great times!
I just saved 3 of them I couldn’t hook them 😆 they are in the pond now

@@Emielio1 their just to cute 😆 I use fish all the time though.
@@DingerOutdoors I know, right? Hah, if I would use live fish over here I'd be fined about 400 euros (+/- 430 dollars).
@@Emielio1 that’s crazy wth
That's a big waterdog. I hope you catch a sailfish in a midwest river and show it on video someday.
I hope so too 😂
Fun spot . I also fish on the other side of old train bridge there. Like 150 feet down .

What connection knot do you tie fluoro to braid?
I legit don't even know what it's called
Sick video! Had me in the edge of my seat lol
Come up to Minnesota for Sturgeon opener in June

I have used Salamanders. Its very sad.
I've used them, never caught anything on them running lines on feeder creeks off the Mississippi.
I’m from Austin. Need to take a trip and have y’all take me fishing for some flat heads. Keep up the videos, learning a lot
Stashnados like a tornado I get twisted by your videos. I like them a lot
When are you coming back down to the big Missouri lakes?
Excellent video, thank you. With busy water like that, I tie straight to braid. Please keep up the hard work, I really enjoy your channel.
Dude were did u get those ive only seen them a handful of times for sell
Almost every bait shop in eastern Nebraska has them right now, but they usually don't.
Are those salamanders or are they newts. I got a hold of a big one out here in the ditch I just happened to kick around some leaves and that baby was almost 8 in
Last time I got some they were like almost 15 bucks a piece
This video sucked! Lol Just kiddin Dude. But no bite on the Salamander hurts my heart. Little feller died in vain.
I want a few to put in my aquarium I can’t find them in sc
Should try a cigar float right at hook on that rig I use it for different fish
Santee cooper

Way to stay positive through all those missed fish man
The drought is over here in Minnesota also!
Hell yea, another Minnesotan 💯 any good lakes to recommend? I'm probably gonna go after work lol
I use the same rig in a river I regularly fish at night after work. Its real nice only losing a weight instead of having to completely rerig.
Excellent love river fishing. The one and only time that I fished gar we used cotton balls soaked in egg that sat in the jar for a day
Goodmorning stash meister 😂 loved this vid

What size reel do you pair with the Little Timmy Stache Stick?

I used a baby pickrel one time

I've heard that live baby ducks make great bait for big bass,pike,andmuskies..lol😂
Yeah even use a fuckn duckling man, not the leopard salai lol
@@TheFamousMangusKingducks work amazing 😆
Stop yellin at me !!!! Hahaha! Your videos are awesome dude!
Awesome video man 🎣🎣
At that spot or any spot thats muddy you can through a moving bait like a square bill or swimbait on 30# or 40# braid.. i do and still get bit.
How is there never any other people where you fish? Where I live if there was an awesome spot like that there would be about 15 Mexican or Hmong families lining the banks and you wouldn’t even me able to get a line in the water 🤣
I only really fish on weekdays, but.. That's still a good question. 😂
Throw a 6” plus paddle tail on your heavy setup for the flatties
Yeah my grandpa told me if I want a sure way to catch flathead was to use the mud dogs. And I don’t remember where he would hook them either, but of course he said it was important and I’ve forgotten
velly nice bait and velly nice spillinway sir ✌✌✌✌

Congratulations Josh on that giant channel catfish
What up Stash-Squatch 🤘
Hello you stachemaster baiters.
I stopped by there on my way through a few weeks ago and was raining on me but caught a couple largemouth and a channel.... was raging like it is here now too...
Can someone please tell me where this is I fish alone and hit up many creeks and spill ways but nvr seen this place
Keep your head up you'll get them next time
Where is this beautiful spot?
Stash , Stash ..Stash Supporters.(Stash Brackets ) Kinda like a banana hammock but the lip under your nose. 🤔😂
What kind of catfish rods are you using?
Dude where is this I would love to try fishing here
Those were Mondo water dogs!
Get it my guy! Come fish Utah bro💪🏼💪🏼
How do you like those Kapstan reels?
A three-way swivel works much better, but you have the right idea. Geese are a-holes. Hopefully you catch a bunch of flathead staches this year.
Ooof. I’ve made bait mistakes in my past as well.
Man I’d love to see underwater footage of under that spillin way where the big dogs hide!
Stachetastically delicious video.
Stash-terds goes crazy
stashmaster for the og stash wielding beard killing fisherman
The opening on this shoulda been stasche amander
I used to buy mud puppies which are basically salamanders at the bait shop but I never use them as bait I always just kept them as pets they're pretty cool. But yeah no doubt a big flathead would eat gobble those things up.
How deep is the water here?
Ok brother you've convinced me 😮😮😮 I'm going to have to hit that spot
I've been commenting Stache Potatoes for a while now bro. Come on Josh lol
Maybe stashed taters? Lol
Make a Paracord lure for gar .... I been doing pretty good here in Wisconsin catching flatties on paddle tails.. aka baby whale's
Do you think you will beat this years PB blue channel?
What part of Nebraska are you from
6:00 lost a fish 🤣🤣
My feelings on salamanders for bait means more when I use them is that little creature is going to feed me and my family and friends
Is that a hellbender ?
Stache Blasters
Josh you’ve never said Stache Stallions before. That might be useful for ya. Keep rawkin!
I feel a giant leatherback crank bait catch in your future.
Dude you use what you want it’s no one else’s business, me personally I couldn’t use the Sally’s but I’m not gonna judge you for it
Can't get them every time. That hurts though, but it's better than you seeing him and he spit the hook or broke you off.
Nice pink mad Katz rod
Sometime you just don’t catch-em Josh….. So go ahead and git!
Flatheads can swim fast sir you should know this. Just usually sit still and pull hard but they still get down even at 50 pounds
Weirdly I have poison ivy in my sock on my foot… 👀
Just got a Stache Stick and a beanie for myself as an early birthday gift. I felt kind of sorry for Josh after that one micro catfish so I figured if he moved some merchandise it would help boost his ego.😂 Actually I enjoy all the videos, successful trip or not.
Some days just aren't your day man shit happens
Brother as dirty as that water is you just need to use straight braid 80 lb especially the big fish are going for and the way they grind on those rocks good luck brother you are the man
Man I was gutted when you lost that fish. I’m sure you were even more gutted than me though!
Beautiful location
The stache man forgot to quack out an f bomb
Stache attacks i don't know what it's supposed to mean but it rhymes
Stash Dawgs!
If a fish gets hung up in a hole or ledge open your bail and the fish will usually come out on its own then you can pick up the fight again.
You were snagging carp I think
Them shaky hands are where its at!
I am in so much pain after watching you lose that fish . The anxiety I felt . I don't think I'll sleep tonight
Fooking Stachetastic bait mate!!!
That’s why you don’t use Spincast need to get you a baster with some 40 pound braid
Stashberries
I'm sure it works, but I'm sure it doesn't work any better than the plethora of other catfish baits that aren't threatened or endangered.
Those ore not endangered 😂
Stash-casters, stash-turbaters, stash- masters
Y'all stache strokers??
"You dirty old stache patrollers"
