I can believe it.
Maybe other countries need to come help since our country still hasn't even gotten help to a lot of people cut off in the mountains of North Carolina.
We are still without power in Savannah, GA. Trees are still down but our city didn’t suffer like Asheville, Chimney Rock, or many other cities in the Carolinas. I can’t even imagine bitching about my situation when I see this devastation.

The Governor of NC has designated Asheville as the pivotal point for supply distribution. The supplies are to be airlifted to the areas that need them. Funny how this reported didn’t seem to know this. Gov. Cooper has supervised hurricane relief (coastal) and the Pandemic, gaining more disaster response experience than most. Western North Carolina is in good hands.

There are hundreds. And there is a Google doc only for NC that has over a thousand names on it of missing people in one county. The reporting is vastly underestimating the severity of this event.

@@mamasantore President Biden sent - on September 30, 2024 - National Guard soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment - airlifted stranded citizen from Avery County to Hickory, as well, - aviation crews from Connecticut, MD, PA and Iowa are also supporting NC Emergency Management in providing relief for those affected by the hurricane.

I hope that the regions devastated by this storm have the things they need to rebuild, because the Dockworkers Union, which covers the entire East Coast and Gulf, went on strike this morning. This is the same union that is seeking a 65% raise in salary, and has not met with the current Administration since June. And that's not a wonder, because members of the Bidden Cabinet have walked the picket lines with the union. Shameful.
Biden has nothing to do with this, let these people fight their fight and keep the politics out of it.

Praying for everyone. I love to see our American citizens working together. There are even fundraisers on social media to help. What I don't see is our government stepping in to help. Where are planes, helicopters lifting people to safety when roads are closed. Where are the drones dropping food, supplies, water to our American taxpayers who need help. @@NomiVou no, right now they've sent all that has been requested by Kemp. That means they only have so much room & manpower to deal with what aid is already coming in. Kemp will probably ask for more in another week or so as the initial supplies get rolled out to the communities.
