@Inters3ct There’s a unique start with Vamana I discovered recently that allows him to out trade warriors with glad shield. The power spike is slightly delayed which has you rely on out farming with your boots spike, prioritizing totem control. You get a chalice over the enemy if they go shield start, and they delay their build just enough for you to get stone cutting online if they invest in a chalice. Stone cutting gives you a 60 prot swing in the solo lane fight, essentially “disarming” their glad shield by taking basically all its prots, and more move speed over the other solo laner. Since you’re Vamana, you get power from physical prots, so the lack of power from the boots is made up from the warriors blessing, tank boots, and stone cutting procs. You’re also healthier than them from the hp in tank boots. Very powerful build.

This is still wonderful information 6 months later. I’m recently coming back to the game, and I’ve been having issues on what to run/how to counter my enemy solo. I’m still new though. I say coming back, but I only played for like 2 months back in 2018. I play with all lvl 100+ friends so I have to adapt fast. I told them I wanted to mostly learn the role myself so they don’t tell me what to buy, or anything of that nature. They only tell me when I should be rotating for team fights. Wonderful guide! It was really insightful.
Good guide! My personal addition would be a ward on FG can be useful if the enemy jungler is a Thor or Rat, because that’s a common place for them to ult:) good job!
Recently got back into smite after 4 years, its pretty rough with all the changes and new gods but I remember why I enjoyed it so much back then and its been fun playing again, these guides have been super helpful. Although I've been having a hard time in solo, I play Son Wukong but seem to get out paced by gods with high self sustain but this video gave me alot of insight that I seem to have lost over the years. Thank you for the great content!

Just getting back into smite and haven't really played conquest since season 3, are these builds still pretty standard for the latest patch or has anything changed?
The only thing I'd add to the item pool for Warrior is Toxic Blade, it's a great item to build into heavy healers if you're playing a god that can easily apply the anti-heal effect. Great video, there's not much out there for newer players.
The thing is, your shields aren't meant to stay around for the entirety of the game. So buying 2 will in the end actually put you behind which isn't good on CuChu considering he is prone to falling off already. With gods like CuChu, you dont have a mana pool to worry about and that's HUGE for Gladiators sheild. Always being able to use an ability and then healing off of that ability, as well as gaining the cooldown its HUGE. If you're wanting attack speed, try shoguns, pick up red boots if you want, but warrior Tabi will still be the stronger choice for you. The key to "out boxing" with CuChu is to get tanky, and max your cooldowns. Dump abilitys go beserk and dump more abilitys, if they're still alive after all that then be tanky enough to wait till you can do it again, that's how you sustain. Also being able to convert mana to HP, and mp5 to Hp5 is HUGE for sustain. As Gladiators sheild heals you on percentages of your total hp. So. Glad, boots, BoV = 30% CD, 70hp, and like 2 or 3 more hp5 sounds small but do I have to say it again its HUGE. Buy glad sheild. Dont level your 2. Ever. Smash them. Win.
Vaguely tanky Aphrodite is actually so much fun though, you just don't give a shit about anythign between the healing, I frames and tank it feels sooooo good.

I really loved the legends I read as a child, and I'm super new to the game, but when I picked him as the first god I got I feel like I got noob trapped because I can't really seem to use him well at all despite following build guides and reading various articles and such.

If youd like to see the more defensive laning but strong team fight side of solo try Amaterasu, if you enjoy stomping early and being super aggro try Cu Chullain. Ama will take practise and patience but in the end will teach you more about smite in general, Cu Chullain will teach you about ability based aggressive laners and gladiators shield and how they both differ from basic attack, bezerkers sheild warriors like Bellona in how they sustain and fight in general.
Loved this video I watched it 3 times all the way through the one thing I disagree with Is the full on tanky solo dont be afraid to have to defensive items just remember pay attention to the match up
What do you think about Ra in solo after the buff? Now that he can stack lotus crown protections with his new heal protections, has one of the safest and easiest clears in the game and also some mobility seems like he may become a bit more popular? Not sure if it’s the case but if the new protections work on minions, we could see tyrannical helm Ra solo rush getting towers at 3 minutes again.

Lemme tell you what after playing only arena minus a few games in my first 25 levels I was not ready for conquest by any standard. This is a great video, If I could give some advice,, while the information you give is great, I think if you were to use examples of gameplay and walk through why you make the decisions you make. It would help to understand in an in game environment, cause when you first start talking about rotating, with that belona gameplay all I can see is 2 people mid and you took a tower. But what about while both 1st towers are up, when would be a good situation to rotate, or is it just not worth it before 1st tower is down.
How do you feel about Berserker's Shield on Osiris with Ninja Tabi instead of Glad and Warrior? Osiris's auto chain just seems to compliment Berserker's.
Is Nemesis actually a viable solo laner? I've been having a lot of fun with her in the jungle but never thought of her in solo lane. edit: Also is Runic Shield really that much better than Ancile? I love the CDR and area silence of Ancile but every build Dukesloth showed was with runic shield for the hybrid magic prot/power builds
not really, your sustain is meh, damage is meh. A lot of solo laners right now have a lot of ways to delete her shield. Shes mainly a jungler right now
I used to build Ancile a lot in the Jungle, but I find Runic Shield way better. Makes you much tankier and I've usually got max CDR anyway, without it. Either from Hydras+Arondight+Jotuns, or sometimes a Trans + Mantle of Discord, or even just Mantle of Discord + Power Potion. And I'd also avoid playing Nem in the solo. She's not in an amazing place rn in the game. She has no meaningful CC and her sustain is so easy to play around. She should really stick to Jungle rn, but even then she's not even that good there atm. The strong Jungler items just don't favour her as well as they do for, say Hun Bats or Thor.
I was hoping you'd delve into matchups in the solo lane, which is what I primarily struggle with. I barely play solo but now more than ever, it feels like every other ranked game, they give me solo and no one in lobby wants to swap. The problem is most people in diamond know what they're doing and can punish you hard if you don't know how to deal with a certain matchup. Its unrealistic to make one that covers everything but if you could cover some of the main warrior matchups, maybe throw something for Cerb, Sobek, and Artio (the top 3 guardians I see in solo), and Camazots, it'd be a great video. I'd sure as shit watch it, cause I kinda need to lol
is persephone viable on solo? I like to play her on that lane and it works out pretty good, but maybe thats because I'm a beginner and my enemies usually don't know what they are doing just like me. (i like the blue buff on her)

I'm pretty new and been mining ullr in solo as long as there's a warrior jungler been doing reasonably well but at higher levels of play ullr won't be viable?
Don't clear the wave. Let the enemy solo and their wave kill your wave, then hold the enemy wave at your tower line and freeze it there. You get really safe farm and the enemy solo doesn't really have kill potential as long as you play smart (unless you're like 3 levels behind). This does a lot of things for you. It means the wave is close to your blue buff so you can always get both (if you stand in the right place you can get xp from both the wave and the blue buff if your jgl is doing it) and puts the enemy laner really far from their own blue buff, so they usually miss farm when they go for their buff. It also gives you the safety of your tower and if they want to clear it puts them so far up the lane that your jungler has higher kill potential because they are so far from their tower. If they try to proxy the wave, spam VGG like there is no tomorrow.

Wow. I mainly play solo lane when I occasionally play Conquest, but my build is way different. For ability based warriors I build Warrior blessing, start Glad shield and some pots. After that I go mainly damage. I go Glad Sheild, Warrior Tabi, Blackthorn Hammer, Bloodforge, Atlantas bow, then I sell blessing for Shifters or Spirit robe. I usually dont gave any issues when fighting people in solo, but I dont play competative very often.
I use changè solo lane. I start with breastplate of valor, shoes of focus, shield of regrowth, talisman of energy for magic resist and passive in team fights, ethereal staff, then rod of Asclepius for 6th then after speed potion, I get rod of tahuiti for damage end game. I get insane speed and crazy good sustain. What do you think of it?
Intersect what new warrior gods would you like to see implemented? I particularly believe roman Mithras, norse Vidar and hindu Kalkhi would make great additions to the game.
Great content as usual. Congrats & Thx for that. But ı have some notes. About solo guardians you listed Terra also a great solo laner. Probably way better than Ymir, Kuzenbo and Ares. About solo assassins. Pele, Serqet & Rats (specialy rats) also good solo laners. About solo mages. I think its totaly accurate but we might think Ra after his recent buff as a fine-ish solo laner too imo. And imo Baba Yaga more solo laner compare to mid laner imo. And totaly agree about hunters ı hate hunter solos. And if you want so badly to be a hunter solo only hunters that could work as imo is Chiron & Skadi.

Played tons of smite back in 2015 and 2016 on console getting back into it and loved playing solo this helped so much I’m level 83 btw not to bad

How do you feel about Berserker's Shield on Osiris with Ninja Tabi instead of Glad and Warrior? Osiris's auto chain just seems to compliment Berserker's.
Is Nemesis actually a viable solo laner? I've been having a lot of fun with her in the jungle but never thought of her in solo lane. edit: Also is Runic Shield really that much better than Ancile? I love the CDR and area silence of Ancile but every build Dukesloth showed was with runic shield for the hybrid magic prot/power builds

not really, your sustain is meh, damage is meh. A lot of solo laners right now have a lot of ways to delete her shield. Shes mainly a jungler right now

I used to build Ancile a lot in the Jungle, but I find Runic Shield way better. Makes you much tankier and I've usually got max CDR anyway, without it. Either from Hydras+Arondight+Jotuns, or sometimes a Trans + Mantle of Discord, or even just Mantle of Discord + Power Potion.
And I'd also avoid playing Nem in the solo. She's not in an amazing place rn in the game. She has no meaningful CC and her sustain is so easy to play around. She should really stick to Jungle rn, but even then she's not even that good there atm. The strong Jungler items just don't favour her as well as they do for, say Hun Bats or Thor.
I was hoping you'd delve into matchups in the solo lane, which is what I primarily struggle with. I barely play solo but now more than ever, it feels like every other ranked game, they give me solo and no one in lobby wants to swap. The problem is most people in diamond know what they're doing and can punish you hard if you don't know how to deal with a certain matchup. Its unrealistic to make one that covers everything but if you could cover some of the main warrior matchups, maybe throw something for Cerb, Sobek, and Artio (the top 3 guardians I see in solo), and Camazots, it'd be a great video. I'd sure as shit watch it, cause I kinda need to lol
is persephone viable on solo? I like to play her on that lane and it works out pretty good, but maybe thats because I'm a beginner and my enemies usually don't know what they are doing just like me. (i like the blue buff on her)

I would recommend glad shield on Vamana to. Its great for keeping mana and pokeing. He has enough dmg abilities.
I'm pretty new and been mining ullr in solo as long as there's a warrior jungler been doing reasonably well but at higher levels of play ullr won't be viable?
brilliant guide buddy. any advice o. catching up once you fall behind, since solo is a lane that can snowball quickly.
Don't clear the wave. Let the enemy solo and their wave kill your wave, then hold the enemy wave at your tower line and freeze it there. You get really safe farm and the enemy solo doesn't really have kill potential as long as you play smart (unless you're like 3 levels behind). This does a lot of things for you. It means the wave is close to your blue buff so you can always get both (if you stand in the right place you can get xp from both the wave and the blue buff if your jgl is doing it) and puts the enemy laner really far from their own blue buff, so they usually miss farm when they go for their buff. It also gives you the safety of your tower and if they want to clear it puts them so far up the lane that your jungler has higher kill potential because they are so far from their tower.
If they try to proxy the wave, spam VGG like there is no tomorrow.

Wow. I mainly play solo lane when I occasionally play Conquest, but my build is way different.
For ability based warriors I build Warrior blessing, start Glad shield and some pots. After that I go mainly damage. I go Glad Sheild, Warrior Tabi, Blackthorn Hammer, Bloodforge, Atlantas bow, then I sell blessing for Shifters or Spirit robe.
I usually dont gave any issues when fighting people in solo, but I dont play competative very often.

As a side tip, Vamana doesn't really need tower teleport because of his 1. It's better to get blink on him first or something

I use changè solo lane. I start with breastplate of valor, shoes of focus, shield of regrowth, talisman of energy for magic resist and passive in team fights, ethereal staff, then rod of Asclepius for 6th then after speed potion, I get rod of tahuiti for damage end game. I get insane speed and crazy good sustain. What do you think of it?

About solo guardians you listed Terra also a great solo laner. Probably way better than Ymir, Kuzenbo and Ares.
About solo assassins. Pele, Serqet & Rats (specialy rats) also good solo laners.
About solo mages. I think its totaly accurate but we might think Ra after his recent buff as a fine-ish solo laner too imo. And imo Baba Yaga more solo laner compare to mid laner imo.
And totaly agree about hunters ı hate hunter solos. And if you want so badly to be a hunter solo only hunters that could work as imo is Chiron & Skadi.
