Hi Amy! So great catching up with you and seeing all your beautiful pieces! They are definitely challenging! Happy Spring, happy stitching and have fun at retreat! Lori
Hi Amy, thanks for showing your projects. Everything looks terrific and adjusting your plans are a good idea. We all need to make it work. Happy stitching. Cheers.
Hi Amy! Great to see you and your stitching again😊. I'm a monogamous stitcher, and I think I am for two reasons. One is that once I get started on a project, I really do hate to put it down. Two, because I'm afraid if I jump to other projects, nothing will ever get finished. It works for me 😂. I seem to hear more flosstubers mention that they are sort of enjoying spending more time on a project than switching it out every couple of days. Your Joyeux Noel is beautiful! I love how you remembered your great-aunt in the piece. What a lovely way to remember her of acts of kindness towards you. Your Elsa Williams bell pull is looking fabulous too! Cheering you on for a finish with your other two pieces that are oh so close to being done! Loved seeing all the things today. Enjoy your retreats!!
Smart being monogamous Maureen. It’s nice to just start and finish something. That way you can’t forget about it. Honestly it’s one of the reasons the bell pull is staying out…because I want to finish it while it’s at the front of my mind. I’m thinking I need to be only a slightly promiscuous cross stitcher at the point. Not sure if I can be truly monogamous, but I may end up trying if I can get there. Hope you are doing well! Love reading your comments ❤️
Hi Amy! Lovely stitching! I especially love Sunday Morning Memories. Really beautiful. Your full coverage pieces will be stunning. Max color?!?! Wow! I haven’t been brave enough to try that. Your plans sound exciting. Can’t wait to see the complete pieces. We could cheerfully talk books because we’ve read many of the same authors. ❤ I’ll look forward to hearing about books next time-and I’ll go see other videos for book talk.
Thank you! I’ll cheat and tell you my favourite book so far this year. The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon. Historical mystery based on a midwife in 18th century Maine. I really enjoyed it. And the max colour is more naivety than bravery. But thank you for saying that ❤️
Loved seeing your finishes and progress! I think this is a good plan and seems to be working well. Your full coverage piece is a stunner. I loooove the artwork and seeing that tapestry come to life in the corner is amazing. Now I want to stitch it too! Ooof the vertical thread situation. Power through. The center will be easier. Sadly, my border did not match up on At Home so I’m still struggling through that. Yes to book reviews!
Nice to see you back. Beautiful pieces. All the best with wipping down. Totally agree it does make a difference where you start on linen. I restarted Pandemic LDS for that reason. Can definitely see and feel the difference
Hi Amy! Great to catch up with you and see all your beautiful projects❤. I think im going to have to keep an eye out for that bell pull on ebay. Its lovely. Im trying to stick with 2 finishes and 1 start this year too. Happy Stitching and have fun at your retreats.
Hi Amy!! I just love your videos and projects!! I like the idea of focussing on just five of those nasty old WIPS!! I will give that a try my problem will be not starting the new stuff! I notice your accent on just some words, is that on purpose? I love it though and would love to hear more of it! 🌝
On Savior’s Praise being started on the wrong linen thread… hear me out… can you choose one row of the sampler to sneakily stitch over 3 linen threads? It’s such a wonky border I think no one would see it when it’s done. Personally I would choose the row directly under the top straight line border, but I do see you’ve stitched past it on the left corner already. Food for thought. -Leah Noel
I always love seeing your videos. I agree about starting next to a vertical stitch. I've also read that it doesn't matter, but in my experience I swear it does. I adore Spring Moon.. it has called to me from the very first time I saw someone working on it; yours is beautiful. For the first thee months of the year I did really well with having WIPGO goals and events in the WIP Warriors group goals that had me touching several projects each month. Now I'm at the point where I have two pieces that are getting really close to a finish and I'm finding that I really want to just keep stitching on them rather than putting them down after a few days. I'm finally getting back to reading for fun now that I'm not taking classes anymore - bring on the book talk any time you want! 🪡👠
Great to see you again .. couldn't love that bell pull more...
Thanks Gina! It is really pretty. Can’t wait to hang it next year!
Can't wait to see you soon!
Give everyone a hug at the Grape Escape.
Your winter bell-pull looks sooo good! The coverlet is amazing.
🥰

Beautiful projects! Love the Elsa Williams bell pull.

It was wonderful to hear from you again! Thank you for sharing your analysis of the stitching plan that makes you happy. What a concept!
Thank you! And yes….happy stitcher is the way to go!

It’s amazing the difference it makes starting on the wrong linen thread! Hopefully we see both good now after making that mistake!
I think you've made great progress! The bell pulls looks amazing, and I can't imagine stitching over one on (potentially) 36 count. 😵💫
Thanks Helen!
That’s why I told myself it’s 32 count. Makes myself feel (slightly) better.
Another great video Amy! See you at Stitch North.😀

Thanks Beth! The 2:1 is so good in theory, but hard to be disciplined for the entire year. I have faith that we can do it though!

This video made me say “Wow Amy!” out loud 3 times 🎉
Aw! Thanks Donna! Hope you are doing well. Your WIPS are pretty awe inspiring too ❤️
Yes. I love books! I enjoyed seeing your progress on your projects. Fyi, Victorian Motto still sells linen and floss in their online shop.
Thanks Marla! Good to know about Victorian motto. Lover her floss and linen…I’m glad it’s still available!
Yay, I'm glad to see you. I missed you.
Thank you Sarah!
Love you!!! ❤❤❤
🥰🥰 Right back at you ! 😘😘
