Austin & Ally is one of the biggest examples of *"Not every Male & Female lead needs to end up together."* That relationship was incredibly forced and had no chemistry, flavor, or seasoning whatsoever.
Auslly stans were so ruthless, I remember when I was like 13 or 14 I wrote a fanfic where Austin ended up with someone else and the Auslly stans sent death threats to me over it. But I really hated Auslly, like they literally had a whole song about how Austin didn't like Ally romantically and only saw her as a friend but then they ruined that.
Damn, I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm not surprised. These stans can be so unstable. I remembered years ago I made a fanfic where Dez and Austin swap roles, and those Austin stans basically set me on fire in the comment sections for doing that. It's ridiculous.
Yes, please rewrite Jessie 😭 Honestly, I’d binge a series of you rewriting kids shows because whew, they were entertaining and iconic childhood relics but had SO many issues
THANK YOU! When she became famous the show just wasn’t the same. However you know how Disney loves there parodies Austin Moon is definitely an parody of Justin Bieber which is why he became famous so fast. Am I the only one though who was confused by his fame. It’s like one episode he was this extremely famous pop star and then the next it seemed nobody cared about who he was.
she got fired then two days later she was hired again. did word not get around in that mall that she was terrible to work with?! she reminds me of that episode of panty and stocking where they kept getting fired.
Disney does the "inaccurate geography" thing everywhere i'm sure. I'm Brazilian and in Brazil 50% of the population is black and our country have a lot of asian and indigenous peaple, but ALL the brazilians shows in Disney Channel have a white main cast in a way that is just weird to watch
As someone who grew up watching Austin & Ally, I’ll always have a soft spot for this series. However, I definitely agree that it took many wrong turns. I liked how the two leads were such good friends because that’s where their chemistry was. But most importantly, I do think it was good for Ally to eventually overcome her stage fright, but not by essentially becoming another Austin
I actually liked Ally's character a lot, mainly because I could relate to being as insecure and as shy as she was. There are a lot of Disney characters that are portrayed as being super confident and brave and while that is inspiring, it was refreshing to have a character that wasn't super confident right from the start. I respect your opinion though and I can understand why some people might not like her. One thing that I didn't like was how they felt the need to change the way that Ally dressed. She doesn't need to change how she dresses to be confident. As far as the pacing goes, I agree, I do think that Austin became successful too fast. Jessie was a show that had some issues, but at least when it came to Jessie's dream of being an actress, they actually wrote that storyline quite well. Jessie didn't really get to achieve her dream until the end of the show (although there were moments before that when she was close to landing a big acting role). Speaking of Jessie, yes, please rewrite Jessie! I really only watched that show for Jessie and Bertram (and I also liked Tony and Hudson as well). The other main characters need a lot more character development and they need to get rid of all of the stereotypes. Going back to Austin and Ally, when you mentioned about how Austin's career was too much for him at such a young age - That is why I wish they could've done a different version of this show, with the characters in their 20s instead. I understand that it probably wouldn't be on Disney Channel if that was the case, but I still would've enjoyed seeing a show like this with older characters. I think having a show where teenagers have to be so focused on a career can be kind of problematic, because like you said, it would be too much for them to handle. It's sort of the same thing with Nickelodeon's Side Hustle - I love that show, but I think it would have worked better with older characters (although they would have to change the reason why the characters are in debt because a 20 year old would know better than to accidentally blow up their neighbor's vehicle with fireworks). In general, I just wish that someone would create shows that kind of have that Disney vibe to them (basically very happy, funny, and lighthearted G/PG rated shows), but with characters that are in their 20s! Anyways, I do like Austin and Ally being together, but I do think that if they knew that they were going to put them together, then they shouldn't have had that whole storyline where Austin was so scared when he thought she had a crush on him. When it comes to Trish's character, I do agree that they should've written her character better, but I kind of liked how she was able to get so many jobs. I mean I didn't like how she would get fired all the time, but I wish I could be able to get any job I wanted like she was able to lol. Overall, I think that Austin and Ally was a great show, it was one of my favorite Disney shows of all time, even though it did have some issues. Thank you so much for making this video! I love the new voiceover style you are doing, it is very creative and it is so cool to see you draw! I am so sorry to hear that you are having health issues, I hope you will get better as soon as possible. Please remember to take care of yourself!
Unpopular opinion: I really wish the show was made in 2022. I feel like they could’ve done an episode where Ally sings finally me at A pride event. She’s just such a gay icon to me💀
As a fan I remember when Disney Channel canceled it and the writers threw everything at the wall to try to make everyone happy even the fandom felt so weird with it and overwhelmed
East Coast native here! I was born in Queens, New York in 1996, then moved to Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania at the age of 11 and I still live there. I been going to New York several times a year to visit my relatives, and I've seen most of the people being black and spanish. So, I see where you're coming from. And if you're wondering which part of New York I visited, it's Downtown Manhattan and, sometimes, Bronx.
I never finished Austin And Ally because my parents got rid of cable while it was still airing, but one thing I remember was that the show kinda portrayed Ally with the "Not Like Other Girls" trope.
This was a very enjoyable video. It was a type of show that plays in the background. I didn't watch it often but I noticed certain things. I appreciate the constructive criticism. No rose tinted glasses here. Children's media is not above criticism.
First off I love, love, love your drawing, your comic seems way cool, can’t wait to read it! Also rewrite any and all of the shows you want! I think I watched this show because I had a crush on Dez’s actor and I liked the OG premise of season one it was cute (which I needed). I also agree with EVERYTHING you said. I cut my original opinions on the race issue because it was jumbled. Short version. I feel sad because I actually enjoyed this show at one point, but I wasn’t getting the Miami vibe, now I know why. I remember hating Austin and Ally as ship (it seemed too obvious) but I did love them as friends. I remember when I watched the show I would ship them with their temporary love interests all the time. I also shipped Austin with Dez, I thought they were cute. I know it wouldn’t of worked because of the politics at the time but I kinda wish Dez was actually gay. I wish the show had competent adults to help the team in the beginning when needed and had better pacing. (I eventually had to quit watching, for lots of reasons).
Hope you feel better soon, and I think it would be really cool if you did a jessi rewrite. I did like this style of video, it was really fun to listen and watch you draw : )

I really wish they would’ve kept the relationship platonic. The song “Not a Love Song” was my favorite and shows how good they are as JUST friends.
@@antonioalford4403 lmao you’re so right. I didn’t even notice. Elliot, Dallas, Calvin, Austin 😂

@Pink Colorful Cure!💗🌸 out of all those uraraka and midoriyz kinda have chemistry same for kaminari and jirou the rest barely have any chemistry.

Kim and Ron from Kim Possible.

In this economy, I *envy* Trish for managing to get so many jobs while I still have to press on for even a job interview. 😭

Austin and Ally was like if Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart were two different people, but Hannah was a boy
Ally Dawson sings the theme song of Ladybug and Cat Noir?! 😱
Yeah Laura Marano did a whole music video and I'm pretty sure Clara Nightingale is designed off her as well.
She actually doesn't. She did sing the song though for a video, but she doesn't sing the song for the the show.
Austin & Ally would've been a great show if it had better diversity/representation and better writing, in my opinion.
No it wouldn't, how would the race of a character change anything. The actors just have to be good at acting that's it
