Been through 3 sets of hdpe skid plates. They peel right off where we ride. Very rocky and all coal. Went with Richochet full set and never looked back. Not shur about rattling issues I never had a problum with that.
I just got an aluminium skid plate from iron Baltic, but have not installed yet. If I had seen this before I probably would have got the plastic. Would you say I should not use it? It came so far and I’m not sure I’ll be able to return

Your area sounds more brutal than the brutal spots I ride.
I put an aluminum skid plate on my last ATV and dealt with constant raddling at different rpm's, I will always choose HDPE from now on!
HDPE is the way. Iron Baltic also has superior quality very reasonably priced
If I wasn't upgrading to the SxsS market in the next 6 months I would definitely upgrade the Rubicon

Use the aluminum it’s perfectly fine to use! Absolutely nothing with aluminum
