I am using air dry clay to make keychains. I have kept that in the air for 15 hours(it is a small piece) but even after that the hook was loose. How many hours or days do i need?
A good way to deal with that is to add a spring shape piece of wire inside the piece then attach a hook to that or bend a zigzag into your eye hooks that way it can’t wiggle as the clay is holding it tight by surrounding it 👌
thanks for sharing this video! I can definitely relate to your curing techniques but it took time for me to figure them out 😅 I also notice that it takes forever to cure pieces during rainy season, when it's cold and wet. can u share your thoughts/experience? 😀
Yes, same here! It also took me a while to figure out what works haha Hmm as far as i know i haven't had any issues with the clay taking longer to cure since the weather here rarely gets cold even when it's raining or maybe I just really didn't notice since I would sometimes forget I have pieces that I set aside to cure 😅
Im struggle with clay cracked while drying process. I use no cooked clay with ratio 100gr cornstarch and 70gram glue, 1tbs oil , 1tbs vinegar. Is it the recipe or humidity problem?
as i mentioned in the video, it can crack but i think that's because i was using a toaster oven with no temp knob. i think it can work with a convection oven with proper settings but haven't tried it so far. i personally use acrylic paint, mostly because it's the most accessible to me but it works well with the clay and dries fast.
Hey zain, im making some small pots for succulent plants. Once the air dry clay is cured will be be ok to put in a plant and water or will it fall apart? Thanks for your videos I'm now subscribed 😁 Thank you🪴
no, unfortunately air dry clay is not fit to use for pot making or anything that involves water even when it is completely sealed. it can soften due to moisture. thank you for subscribing 💚
Your videos are soooo good!!! They deserve a lot more recognition!

I'm curious too. I'd like to make pendants and wondering how to attach a hook so it doesn't fall out after the clay dries?
