When did you get a good understanding of guitar.
And what made you want to keep playing?
I still work on it my friend but I’d say I got a generally good understanding of music when I took it on as my Major in school. Music theory classes, ensemble classes and Ear Training classes really helped. As well as the actual training of gigging on the weekends.
What’s made me keep playing… that’s a great question. As of now it’s really just become a part of my everyday life but one reason is when I think about the thrill and excitement I got when I started playing guitar. I was very into magic as a kid and when I first saw a live rock concert and saw a guitar player shred, it was kind of like those magic shows when I was a kid. I just had to know how did he do that sound, how did he make that note sound that way, how is that possible? And now that I discovered how to do a lot of those “tricks “it’s just fun. It is incredibly fun playing the electric guitar. It’s just a beautiful thing that I’m very grateful for. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for the comment.
