At 10pm on a weeknight in mid Feb 2018 I did a full walk from Soi 4 Nana to Soi Cowboy. Stopping a few times to point out popular restaurants, bars and hotels.
Business is down around 50% due to the Chinese virus, many people are wearing masks to try and protect themselves.

El gaucho is terribly good and extremely expensive I confirm, I had to go back to my hotel once to get my Visa card to pay! watching it from a remote place in Africa with Bluetooth earpiece the noise of the tuk tuk make it real! Tonight I travelled for free thanks!

Will be doing that walk in 10 days, mask free. You mentioned Dollhouse on Cowboy as a favourite. A year ago, my first night in town, had a good time in 2 Nana P gogos, the girls having fun. Then went to Cowboy and first stop was Dollhouse. The girls on stage were doing nothing. What a contrast to the 2 Nana gogos. I was bored before my drink arrived. Will give it another go soon.

You finished at my favorite junction. The Sukhumvit suite hotel is a good place and girl friendly. I was there only 4 weeks ago.

Was therein 2008! Had a great time! Stayed at the Palasio Hotel, on the other side of everything. That was a mistake, since the tuk tuk didn't like taking me back! Hoping to go back again in 2022!

I felt concerned as I love this channel and hope everything is Ok and well.
Nobody knows what happened to Bankok 112 ... just read in his facebook comments that mentioned unconfirmed he was killed in an automobile accident.
There have been no contacts, videos or updates.
Nobody has seen or heard from Bangkok 112 in 1 year.
Posting this in hopes that we will know something more in the future.
I have been a fan of his videos for many years now and miss the content.

If you plan on spending any amount of time at Soi Cowboy, there's a really nice hotel on sukhumvit rd, the Continent Hotel, a bit pricey but well worth it. The funny thing is I booked there not knowing Soi Cowboy was directly behind it. I learned really quick on my first walkabout.
I’d like to do that walk one of these days but I always ride a taxi. Cool sights cool walk. I enjoy eating at MacDonalds in Asia especially late night or early morning.

this is the way a city vid should be done. I can't watch most of them where some dope is yammering on and on trying to show off what he knows (but generally shows off what he does not know). Soi Cowboy was a LOT more fun ago before all the bars built out and out making it a congested narrow way. Really nice to stroll a full wide street with space around you taking your time and then make a right at the end into the Fish and Chips place, maybe get some mushy peas too, then go into the adjoining bar bathed in dim red light and order a Beam while you waited for your order, WHICH they would bring to you in the bar :) Gone now, but it's where that big red/pink wall is next to Crazy House. Later it turned into a german type resto for a bit. Nothing seems to last in Bkk nowadays.
There is just too much competition. Somebody comes along with a great idea, turns successful. Then all the copycats start opening up, putting each other out of business. Only the ones with money stay open. Another problem is high rent prices. Property owners see a business going well, so they jack up the rent, which eventually forces the bar/restaurant, to relocate to a cheaper area.
@@MetalMaster101 typical...I've seen blocks in PP where some guy gets a good idea, make success of it and almost every other store on the block will COPY the guy. Then they all have one customer haha. In Bkk they've succeeded in driving up rents so much that I don't see how those places stay open, except by selling 500% ownership :) Reminds me of the movie The Producers.
The steak house is great and yes expensive. The tuk tuk have no mufflers to make noise, not air filters. sorry.
Hit both locations this past weekend. Thought Nana was the better of the two on this trip. Seemed to be more good looking ladies at Nana.
Butterflies and Billboard the music was too loud (don't need my seat vibrating), but plenty of lovelies. Spankys was a lot of fun, also liked Twisters and Geisha at Nana.
Crazy House too crowded and no one upstairs, didn't stay. Cowboys 2, Lighthouse and Dollhouse were good at Soi Cowboy.
However, all had some "big" ladies compared to previous years.

@bangkok 112 Do you notice the streets being more empty as before for this time of the year (because of the virus)? I'm going to Vietnam in the summer and I hope the streets are as crowded as last year. I had a great time over there.
