Back in his heyday (on the main channel), I loved his videos where at the end of the night he would take a moto-taxi back to his hotel, and he would dub the perfect music to accompany the ride through the dark, nearly deserted streets at that hour. Sooooo atmospheric. Loved that vibe, kinda a bit of "Vice City" feel to it. I try to find those videos to re-watch, but its not easy - - - shouldda' written them down. Could have been Cambodia or Vietnam in addition to Thailand (including islands).

The Thermae just looks 100% Chinese/Asian fellas now. 20 years ago it was such a great place to meet all of the of weird and whacky characters that existed in Bangkok. Crazy expats that just got stuck in SEA, smugglers, scammers, weirdos and all kinds of dodgy types. Such great days...I wish I had've known how much "old bangkok" would eventually disappear back then...I just took it for granted that it would always be there so I guess I didn't appreciate it enough at the time. I wonder if the toilet is still the same? Basically just a hole in the wall covered by a basket of limes!
the fact that you see very little police presence or law enforcement in the most tourist area (from Nana to Cowboy) of Sukhumvit is very concerning.
I agree. There is a police booth beside the Soi 4 intersection but there must be lots of 'incidents' that are not reported.

Thailand is one of those countries which are only good to be seen through videos. Expensive prices , arrogant inhabitants who doesn't learn english and who only thinks about money , brutal police , rightist government , hellish heats , wild beast... go there at your risk and peril.
