@@PokerJeezus I think your thoughts on running it twice especially in a game like this to reduce variance and get to your true equity is great advice, especially to a newer player with a smaller bankroll.
Also, part of the reason I recommend new players just buyin for the minimum. Yes you'll have a swingier graph because you have no fold equity and need your hand to hold up against multiple opponents, but you can commit with premium holdings and not get bluffed off your equity. And if you lose, you were only in the for the minimum and you can just reload.

Suggest eliminating the “here’s a big hand on the table” part where it gets kinda dead while the dealer figures out a multi-way pot split 2.5 ways. We don’t know the hands or board so it’s not clear who had what. Just a confused table with a big pot. Otherwise loved it!
Gotcha, I just like to share some of the insane multiway pots we get here in Texas so people can experience it for themselves. But in the future I can trim them down so it's not as lengthy and instead more focused on showing the massive amounts of chips flying around the table

Glad I was able to exact some revenge and go from +$1,000 to -$1,000 to +$1,656 A rollercoaster ride for sure, but makes for some great footage and memories
Great video as always, just curious, why did you repot that pot in the AQT8 hand? The guy behind you could stick around while being crushed with lower flushdraws
This pot was already raised preflop and when it gets to me there's already over $500 in the pot after the guy bets pot on the flop. Top pair top kicker with the nut flush draw is a solid hand in this spot, but I really don't want to just call and either: 1. Have a turn card kill my action and not get paid off 2. Allow someone to stick around and make some goofy-ass two pair that wins at showdown when the pot is already big Now if there was only $35-50 in the pot and I'm facing a bet, in that spot I might just call because the pot isn't overly large so I can let others in and take my chances a bit more. But with the pot the size it already is, I felt I needed to protect my equity at that juncture
@@PokerJeezus I agree that your hand is solid but I don't agree with the two reasons 1. reason doesn't apply here as well in my opinion as I would expect him to lead either combo draw which you want to let get there or he has 2 pair plus where you are not getting the money in good, on top of that the hands that he could fold are the ones you want the action from in my opinion 2. reason is not that valid because I don't think he will have one pair hands that often and if he has one pair hand (with combo draw) there is a posibility he will fold it which would be a tragedy against your hand (I am just expanding on my previous point here) Basically I do not think you are pushing that much equity in this spot and I would rather see you call to posibly have the button overcall with a hand like aces with backdoor stuff or perhaps some sort of rundown with worse flush draw+backdoor draws

On double board bomb pots, I have seen 669 and 996 (the last 6 on the turn), 887 and 778 (one player had 78xx). Lastly I have seen KKK and JJK. Today on one 2bbp it was 29TT6 (top) and QQ632 (bottom with a flush). I had TTxx, another player had QQxx and the third player had 66xx at 9-handed. Mr 66 lost his full stack (1300+) as I potted all three street and QQ player (right behind me on the button) NEVER raised (the final bet was for 1120). The thing is POT/POT on any street is SUPER strong and will chase out your profit. Mr QQ and I had 1700+ behind, but of course we would split it anyway. Always know why you are betting an amount or calling on a 2bbp.
Rampage may share his poker results, but he isn't showing the insane money he gets from high rake app-based poker clubs I don't really like sharing my actual hourly or yearly results as I don't feel anyone needs to know what's in my pocket That being said, I have shared an hourly range before, between $60-$120/hr I'm not at the bottom or top of that range, so do with that what you will :)

I've rewatched the AcQcTs8s hand 4 times. You HAD to have had a read on your opponent. He stacked off with middle pair and NO redraws?! What?! You missed everything and top top was way good (in a $1,750 pot at a 2/2 table)?!? What.....how?!....please explain! Also, this cemented it. I'm booking my trip to Austin for late Feb lol
There are some players that will go on tilt if you run it once and they lose. I run it once for that reason; plus on a new table the real poker doesn't start until several players get stacked (IMHO).
There is another issue that you might want to factor into whether you run it twice. How's your tilt control compared with your opponents? If yours is much better than most of your opponents, it may be worth just running it once at all times. You lose a big pot and you don't go on tilt. They lose a big pot and go on Full Blown Tilt which can only be good for you in the long run.
Why do people keep saying they block this and they block that, yeah they have one of the cards but the others are still out there. It annoys me so much. The only time you really block is when your card makes the nuts on flushes.
@@PokerJeezus here is what annoys me about bloggers specifically when they play no limit holdem. They say I have a 10 so I’m blocking the straight, then the very next hand they have AJ and they say does he have a better Ace,lmao. So they have no consistency, that’s why I get irritated.

@@PokerJeezus yeah but many times they say I don’t want to call with a weak Ace pre flop, or I don’t want to bet the flop because I have a weak Ace, etc, point is that there, they never say I have an ace blocker so he can’t have an ace. Now having cards that can help you represent a straight or a set are important, I just don’t know how powerful, or what the odds are of the other not having the same cards as you. I do make moves with some nut flush blockers, and when I have a card that can represent a straight, I also sometimes use it as a bluff. I just never assume the others can’t have it. Anyways good videos man, keep them coming.
It's a double edged sword. You have no fold equity, so while you always realize your equity and can't be bluffed, you can't deny opponents their equity either I prefer to play deepstacked. But in super aggressive games against people with deep pockets making the game play much bigger than the advertised stakes, it can be a useful approach It will actually increase your variance. I've gone through 2-3k buying in for the minimum before, it doesn't always work
Damn good stuff! Excellent mix of your great humor and solid content. I'm always willing to run it twice, but am not affronted if someone wants to run it just once. I've been a favorite and lost both...even in the 75+% then losing a likely 80% on the second board when outs hit the first. And I've had the 2 outer hit and scoop when they just wanted to run it once. I can understand if they always want to change it back and forth to take advantage....like not chopping the blinds when they have a good hand or are in the Big and then always wanting to chop when they have nothing or are in the small....there is a level of etiquette that should be followed, even if giving up a small edge in certain situations.
I agree. Although I had a misreg mutter "that should be illegal" when I didn't stay in a game for 12 hours after winning a big pot, but instead left 45 minutes later So etiquette is in the eye of the beholder

I employ a pulling strategy. Too many of my opponents want to play preflop BINGO for stacks where equities run close I prefer to see flops multiway, it handcuffs the aggro players from running bluffs and it pulls weaker players in who are the ones you profit off of when they won't fold 8-high flushes, underfulls, etc

Having a hammerlock on one board is usually hard. Typically any nuts you hold are still vulnerable to being outdrawn
