@@davidmann4315 yeah, it’s sad. There are quite a few small lifts at the valley level, one is right next to my house. In 3 years of living in this town I haven’t seen it operating once. There’s just not enough snow at this altitude anymore. Even moderately high altitude resorts like Hochzillertal are struggling - less snow, more ice, more injuries. Especially during peak times like the winter holidays, conditions on slopes are quite horrible. Hintertux glacier used to have a year-round ski season but they had to close it for six weeks at the end of this summer. First time it ever happened. But it’s understandable. These past few summers were absolutely brutal to glaciers, with the freezing level rising way above 4km and staying there for a very long time.

@@weredrivinghere And the temperatures are not low enough to make artificial snow. I live in Thailand and the skiing has been terrible here, too. 😉
