It used to be much more snow. The first part of the video shows the Kaunertaler Gletscherstraße. It was built in the 1980's to have access to the glacier at the start of the video and have an all year skiing area.
Or rather the now non-existant glacier nowadays. The days of being able to ski there in the summer ended around 2010. Since then the glacier had melted away so drastically that there just isn't left enough snow and ice to ski on in summer.
The roads are beautiful and challenging, lots of sharp turns and downhill

It was so nice to remember with you that beautiful alpine road!

Ahhh... been there this summer. Drove exactly that route. I actually prefered driving on the Gletscherstraße to the Passo Stelvio, even though it is a dead end. Much less crowded, better scenery. Well worth the 25€ toll.
56:23 Definately a corner to pay attention. I drove by there about 4 times during my vacation, in both directions. Had traffic every time.
1:02:33 This corner is especially awesome for your co-driver in the opposite direction. Past the fence is a 750 meter drop where you can see directly down the inn valey.
why do they make roads so small Austria is not a developed country

Goodness, you might think that them tree trimming with that big excavator 21:40 would at least put warning cones out or something wouldn't you. Come round the corner and the rear end of that thing is stuck right out into the road.
It would have been great if the viewers could see the speedometer. That would be the perfect "point of view drive" viewing! Try a head camera so that we can see what you see, especially the speedometer.
