@@AlbertVideomaker I’m using an amazon metal phone clamp, although I couldn’t find that specific one again. I’ve had plenty of time to test it with the phone attached to my helmet while snowboarding, and the phone would only fall out if I crash. But I might need to secure it better in the future haha! And, Delkin 3-suction cup system (1 + 2) to reduce vibration, mounted on the roof

@AlbertVideomaker indeed, action cameras are somewhat easier to mount (no chance of them slipping out of the holder) and way less noticeable. People stare at me all the time when I drive with this setup. But I think the quality improvement is worth it. Action cameras have their limits and aren’t great for filming things in the distance. It might change at some point but for now I guess inferior processing power and the field of view are the two main issues. Something like pocket 3 could do a better job, bigger sensor and narrower FOV. The gimbal may react badly to g forces but I’ve heard that it might be possible to address this by enabling “pov” mode where gimbal doesn’t move comparing to the handle. That would need to be tested though. For me personally I’d rather work on hiding the phone, e.g. in a roof box like ones used to carry skis. I might try filming something with the osmo action 5 again just to be sure but at this point it feels like viewers prefer iPhone footage.

@AlbertVideomaker also, when I feel lazy, the weather is suitable and I’m not driving towards the sun - I just mount the phone inside. That is 100% stealth setup, people think the phone is there for navigation and noone cares. The biggest downside is the windshield reflections.

No, this is actually an iPhone, the main 1x sensor. I filmed a couple of rear view videos with OA5 but these didn’t do very well. Maybe because nobody likes the rear view haha!

The action 5 has a much wider field of view, even wider than iphone’s 0.5 camera. So there is a significant loss of detail. For driving, I have not found a better camera than the 15 pro. It is noticeable on the outside but maybe some sort of 3d printed case could conceal it. P.S. I have gotten oa5 for this channel and also action sports channel but I don’t think it’s up there even with the 0.5

haha I actually signalled it to pass, I wanted to get it into the shot but then also didn't want to chase him down immediately and get too close so it's not interpreted as some awkward attempt to race. I think having the Alpine in the shot for a few minutes while driving through town was certainly worth it. Very curious automobile, apparently full aluminum body and 1.8-liter Nissan turbo engine make a great combo.

Gondolas are normally non-insulated so it gets colder as we go up :) I think the temperature at the top here (~6600 feet) was just slightly above the freezing point. But the building at the top is warm!

Yes! Hintertux used to have a year-round season, but this August/September they had to shut it down for some time due to heat. Skilifts are open again now. They just had a pretty big competition in the snowpark.
