  • It's fascinating how seasons change with altitude. Even further up, it's winter already.

Oops, I was actually meant to trim that part 😅It's still possible to do on RUclips after the fact but re-rendering takes some time. So maybe I'll do that in a couple of days once this video doesn't have so much traffic.

Beautiful beautiful! And I loved the small church and steeple! I also hear the motor on your car! Sounds like it has a lot of power! Can I be nosy and ask what is the fastest you have driven? It is almost like watching a race!

This one it's 3-liter diesel with 218 horsepower - daily workhorse :) And I run it on hydrogenated vegetable oil.
It does have a fair bit of torque, typical for diesels, but it is only around half the power of my previous car. I've owned some interesting ones in the past - but the maintenance costs and motor taxes in Austria make it impractical/too expensive to own something with 400+ horses. With the exception of EVs as there's no motor tax on them and insurance is really cheap despite tons of power.
In Austria, maximum speed is capped at 130 km/h; highway section around me is capped at 110 km/h so I rarely exceed that.
I've done probably 170 km/h on a highway in Germany with this car, and a bit over 200 with my previous one, but otherwise top speed in a straight line does not really interest me :)
On the other hand, I've got a fair amount of experience on a simulator, I've owned a drift car in the past, and I really like sliding around corners in a controlled environment! Perhaps once we have some snow in one of the bigger parking lots out here, I'll go there and do a little demonstration :)

@@weredrivinghere wow 😮 you really know about cars and speed. And yes things are expensive for sure! So are you a student in some cool university? Or I you just naturally intelligent? Prayers of blessings on your life! Don’t waste it it’s too precious! And now I will have to look up all those types of cars 🚗 you have or have had! The coolest car I had was a 1972 Malibu! And I noticed your skill of driving those curves!

Also I have done a donut in the snow ! Not intentional but I was being smarted off to and I punched down on accelerater and instantly went into a spin ! But by the grace of God I got straightened out! Never 👎 drive emotionally! Lesson learned!

Was your drift car a real car or a RC car? Never knew about drifting either! Impressive!

are the resorts open in hintertux?

Yes! Hintertux used to have a year-round season, but this August/September they had to shut it down for some time due to heat. Skilifts are open again now. They just had a pretty big competition in the snowpark.
