I wanna add something to this. I'm regular traveller of Pakistan Railways. Our rail length is 7,791 kms. But they are still using old, slow and crap diesel locomotives while rest if the world is using electric trains. Even 70% of Indian railways is electrified. And by 2025, 100% electrification will be completed. First of all switch your railways to electric trains which is v cheap, environment friendly, modern and steady. Rest all are just secondary things.
Why can't the government enforce one simple law, all car owners must have their vehicles inspected annually for emissions? This has been a standard practice acroos the globe for many decades now.
Vehicle registration should include emissions testing. And if a car or bus fails test then they should be required to install mitigation. Second thing is that Chief Minister of Punjabs on both sides of the border should talk to each other directly on this issue. You don’t need to wait for a regional forum to be formed.
Electric trams and trains .use stubble for mulch and introduce PQNK agriculture. Pakistan is not an industrialized country. Have the guts to sue Hindutva India for decades of pollution and damage to human health and economy,
On one side bringing in the EV policy and on the other heavily taxing EV cars on the bidding of the auto car industry isn't really giving any confidence on the same
he is doing what ever he can but problem is main leadership of PTI, i remember how Shabaz sharif used to take stern actions against any problem either its dengue or cleanliness issues.
Billion tree tsunami will be effective when the state will incentivise the efforts of the people to plant the tress. Like the world witness the success of incentivisation policy of Costa Rico which is suffering from deforestation and that policy became successful in the result of boosted ecotourism contributing almost 3 billion dollars to its economy.
It's an individual role . I have planted around 20 trees in nearby parks and spaces . I water them daily and take care of them so they become a tree
