I prefer the Anbernic controller, yes the 2C has phenomenal latency but the Anbernic felt absolutely fine to me. It has better sticks, it has far better compatibility and modes and a vastly superior D-Pad. To me, the 2C is largely surpassed by the Anbernic RG P01, that should help people understand how I feel about the Anbernic, thanks for your question!
So I'm just watching this video in hopes of inspiration since I'm about to start recording my own review video, and I hear: "Qui aime bien, chasse bien" I was like whoa.. I'm a French Canadian so that was very cool to hear? Are you a French Canadian also. J'ai adoré cette revue, merci bien!
Thank you for the clarification Choco. I'm glad to know this is not everyone, and my apology for having spoke so hastily without the full knowledge. That said, I hope for the ones who are affected by this issue, that Anbernic uses this as a learning lesson for future products as it leaves a bad taste for consumers that are subject to this questionable decision.
You were cooking with your last thought. I already love Anbernic. I own one of their XX handhelds (the SP clamshell) and I'm always shilling for it because it's amazing. I hope to get one of their up-level Android handhelds sooner or later. If I buy one of these P01 controllers, it's not going to be because of the low price before shipping, rather, it'll be because of the name on the box.
Thanks Matt. Some added context, thanks to viewers, made me understand that in some parts of the world, it really is $18 so that's reassuring but nonetheless, I think Anbernic would have done better to just present it as 25-30 to us and charge 5 to 0 shipping exactly for the reason you mentioned at the end of your comment. I bet many would do the same based on the same exact sentiment. Hopefully, they realize that and nurture a healthy and honest relationship with their consumers going forward. Thanks for your inputs as always!
Thank you for the review. I was really wondering about this one. I want to buy my daughter her first gamepad for Christmas, but I am at a point where I refuse to buy a controller without gyro. I was literally about to rage post, when you inserted the gyro segment. Thank you :).
Since I am first to comment, could you please make a video on the best controller for aiming since I have been watching you for past few months but can't figure out what the best controller for aiming is, I will use it on pc only. Keep up the good work l love the format.
That's an interesting idea and one I will definitely jot down. I might just take you up on your suggestion when I have a bit of free time between productions. Thanks a lot!
very impressive results with the sticks , I think it could be that they are using newer hall sensors , i saw videos from "Metal Plastic Electronics" chanal he compared some hall sensors in one video and showed some newer medels with better output signal , a good clear signal with minimal jetter allows more stick resolution and that is what we'll be seeing in the near future in my opinion. he still thinks TMRs are a little bit better and do offer a faster response time compared to a good hall effect sensor.
Hey Klef young lad! The smart money is planning an order with Anbernic so you're only paying shipping once across multiple items which is generally what I do unless I'm in a pinch for a replacement battery or button set for an Anbernic handheld that I may be servicing. If I hadn't just bought the Genshin Impact branded 8bitdo Ultimate controller, then I might actually consider this one lad.
Totally! Like most to not say every other shop right? If bought in bulk, it's only logical that shipping costs are agglomerated and therefore reduced when calculated per units... Anyway. Seems like some parts of Asia don't suffer that questionable decision so at least it's not everyone as I mistakenly said. That 8BitDo is GLORIOUS, I don't have one but it is by far my favorite color scheme they released ever. Great tastes friend!
Good review. It’s always nice to just have a solid working controller laying around the house when you need one. What I’d like to see is your comparison thoughts on small to medium sized controllers. Stuff like the 8bitdo Lite 2, SN30 Pro or the Gulikit NS19, Z01 and CRKD Atom and Neo S. Stuff like that. What do you think are the best for each size. Just a suggestion for this crowded Christmas buying time.
Ohh, you put me onto something with the NS19! A small controller with HD rumble. :O Sadly, I don't have any of the controllers you listed except the SN30 Pro and I love it but the market continued evolving so the NS19, for example, could very well be the new pick in the small form factor world. Thanks for the suggestion!
The D-pad of this controller is excellent and comfortable, compared with the Switch Pro controller. I can confirm that the price is about $17 with free shipping because I got all three colors while I am still in China from their official online shop. Shipping cost will definitely depend on where you live.
At least some areas of the world. Not being in China (or Asia), I was too eager in my words. My apologies for that. A lot of the world is being charged shipping per unit rather than per order, which is not ok but nonetheless, I am glad that some parts of the world really do get the listed pricing and not the inflated one. I agree, the dpad is excellent. Anbernic really knocked it out of the park, at 18 or at 30. I do hope they are more transparent to the customers that pay 30 going forward.
@@GameTechTalk In China, Anbernic sells it without the 2.4 GHz USB dongle too, which costs around $14. I got 2 controllers with the dongle and one without because you can sync the dongle with any controller. I agree that the shipping cost should be per order, and that they should be more transparent to customers, because there are many bad companies in China that use tactics like cheap price to attract views and compensate the cost when you order. By the way, your controller reviews are outstanding!
I know this wasn't what you review but would appreciate if you can help me out with this dilemma. I'm torn between gamesir g8+ and abxylute s9 which o e would recommend over the other ?
@@TVCHLORD I'm hoping for more PlayStation style PC controllers. The tarantula had the worst dpad I've ever used which is kind of the reason you buy PlayStation controllers so hopefully something better comes out soon.
In all fairness, GameSir seems adamant on having D-pads that are super tactile, super low travel. GameSir is amazing at most things but at d-pads it is not.
The GameSir Nova Light feels like more quality but beyond that, they are extremely close to be honest. I think I’d go for whichever is the least expensive of the two, I can’t think of another reason to choose one over the other.
@GameTechTalk thank you for your answer. Meaning shipping the RG P01 more expensive. It is 30-35 euro including shipping. Nova Lite 22-25 euro + free shipping and I gess I saw it for 14 euro on sale. I think I'll buy it. 3 cups of coffee = gamepad + dongle + case. Excellent deal as for me. I am a PC gamer and for shooters and competitive games I've got a good expensive mouse and a mechanical keyboard. I think for 3rd person view single games there's no need to buy a expensive gamepad.
It's a great suggestion and one I'll write down, thank you! Currently, I'm not ready to deliver what I would consider to be a good enough video, I would have to add more games and the testing and research would be tremendously long. But, I'd like to do that in due time so I'll keep your suggestion in mind. Again, thank you very much!
@@GameTechTalk Btw you got my Subscribe for your expertie, I mainly play FGCs and I always look for gamepads with good DPads. As a reviewer that consider himself a "consumer-first" one, I hope they change their approach going forward. Thanks Mr Benny for your support!

@@GameTechTalk Damn I wish they could just like how 8 xbox controllers connect to a single pc dongle. Appreciate your reply ive asked this everywhere and for some reason no one responds
It doesn't really cost that much for Southeast Asia region. We have Shopee and Lazada platforms here that charge very little (or even free) for shipping. It really costs around $18 to my country
I'm happy to know this is not everyone's plight, as per my mistake. At $18, it's an even more valuable controller than at $30, which I'd be comfortable recommending even at that price. I just hope Anbernic makes it more transparent to buyers the next time around as it leaves a bad taste for a lot of consumers that are not based off of Asia.

@@thanishf4355 Oh definitely yeah. And the Anbernic has Bluetooth 5.3, that's probably more important for latency than polling rate to be honest.
