    It sounds so simple, but I’m constantly trying to find the balance between being over the bar enough to get good leverage, not being so far over that I loop the bar, and being too upright, and subtly shifting behind the bar top early. It’s a fine line.

      Same. I think I execute maybe 1 out of 10 attempts passably on a good day, and I have no idea how I did it or how to replicate it.

      @@LY43537 I know what you mean. Sometimes, once or twice a session, a rep really makes perfect contact, and my positions are perfect for my frame, and the bar just floats...
      It feels so distinctly different to every other of my reps, and to be fair, they’re not terrible, reps. But like you, I’m still trying to pin down exactly how and what I’m doing when I hit a perfect rep.

      it helped me to understand the mechanics of my body by doing a lot of tempo pulls, very slow and controlled reps from the floor to explosion

      @@g00zik97 That’s good advice. I’ve also found that slow-tempo first pulls are really helpful. My snatch is definitely better if I’ve been doing them regularly.

    Thanks for getting right to the point and not making this a 15 minute ad filled video with the answers at the very end

    It is unlikely that a bar can hang from our shoulders in a way that is not perpendicular to the ground when it exceeds a certain weight 🤔.

    Shouldn’t weightlifters be in love with bodybuilding-style pullover movements, then? Or are they that bad of exercises?

    • @CatalystAthletics
      @CatalystAthletics  Год назад +2

      They're not a bad exercise exactly, but they're not that effective for this purpose... why do that when you can use far more position/sport specific exercises?
