The singing planet is a rhyming planet in the comics because singing doesn't work in comics. But yes, the planet was in the comics. So were the Flerken kittens, but they were used differently.
I don't know if you are aware, but the actress that played Dar-benn(The main villian) is Zawe Ashton aka Tom Hiddleston's(Loki's) wife.
So hearing her go "KNEEL" was amazing lol
I’m in the enjoyed it group. A little cheesy in parts but overall my daughter and I found it fun. We had a pretty good giggle when we realised Carol was a Disney princess now lol. Nice reaction as always, Addie.
In the comics, Monica has gone by Photon (her Mum's callsign) and Spectrum. She also has used the Captain Marvel title.
Thanks for spoiling come future mcu properties. Nerds gonna nerd.
@@WheresWaldo05That's no spoiler. It's not like the MCU follow the comics that closely anyway. In fact I think Carol Danvers is the latest Captain Marvel. Monica/Maria might have been before her. Carol was Ms. Marvel for a longer time than she has been Captain Marvel.
@@entrydenied I mean it's kinda is. I know some people love details like that and don't consider as a spoiler, but me for example not one of those. As a non-comic reader I'd prefer to not know those details and experience it on my own watching MCU.
@@entrydeniedmaria was never a superhero in the comics
@@WheresWaldo05the name photon is used in the merch like toys and stuff, so it’s not really a spoiler
iman was born to play kamala..
Glad you enjoyed it..i dont really get where the hate came from..i watched it in opening day and i really really enjoyed it..the dynamic of the 3, the comedy, the actionscenes, kamala, carol, kamala's family..i liked it..
I mainly watched this for Iman Vellani (Kamala), who is adorable and has that little sister energy.
Although, at my age, she would fit more as a daughter.
She is absolutely perfect for this role!
@@AddieCounts agreed!
Steals every scene
I like this movie quite a bit. Not perfect but good. Loved the inclusion of the family dynamics.
Love your channel.I work at Apple and shared your channel to some coworkers, they love it too.Your reactions are very authentic which is what makes it great.Patiently waiting for more Band of Brothers. Its my favorite series in history and more tears to come.Hope more of it comes soon.Take care
Thank you so much for your support and your kind words!
@@AddieCounts Very welcome.May I ask when you will be back on Band of Brothers?
In comics, Aladna is a rhyme planet. They communicate via rhymes. Captain Marvel used rhymes to speak to them when she visited it and helped Yan - the Prince - just like in the movie!!! But instead, they sing in the MCU.
To much effort to write rhymes. They were lazy.
Also difficult to communicate melody in comics@@kirkdarling4120
i liked this change. it was a good meta humor about how in disney stories people casually start musicals out of nowhere. carol's princes dress was the icing on the cake
I’m sure singing can also include Rhymes if we ever do come back to this planet :)
The pacing is off in the beginning and the story is a bit rough at times, but the film is a lot of fun. And it's also the best writing of Carol in the MCU so far. Her having to deal with the fallout of her actions is a terrific character arc for her, and also brings her out back down to Earth after coming off bit too arrogant in Endgame. The chemistry between the three leads here is tremendous.
Since Kamala mentioned the name 'Spectrum' and was rejected, I believe there's a good chance that maybe Monica's alias could become 'Photon'.
The common name for Monica from current media such as the marvel games is spectrum
@@Haterage Agreed, but as I said, the name was suggested by Kamala and Monica said 'No', hence me thinking that unless she changes her mind 'Photon' could be the one she ends up using in the MCU.
@@M.D.M.X But she tore off the "Photon" costume that she was given on Adela.
@@kirkdarling4120 She didn't tore off a costume, she tore of some extra fabric that might've somewhat resemble or reference the fabric under her arms in the comics, which is part of the 'spectrum' outfit and not the 'Photon' one. So even if as you say she ripped that off symbolically, my point still stands that it seems more likely that it could be 'Photon'. But, hey who knows.
@@M.D.M.Xit was apart of her costume when she was captain marvel, not photon or Spectrum
Fun MCU connection: The actress playing Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton) is engaged to Tom Hiddleston (Loki).
Tom could do better.

I like this movie All the characters together are so much fun. The costume, especially Carol's, are amazing! The fighting scenes are creative and chaotic in a good way. And I want one of Goose's babyyy
This is another MCU film that I don't understand the hate towards. I'm glad you enjoyed it, Addie. Edit: Okay, my comment has clearly started a thread of mostly negative replies. Look, if you didn't like this movie, why'd you watch Addie's reaction, and WHY are you replying to my comment? Huh? You didn't like the movie. Fine, whatever, but don't force people to avoid it just 'cause of YOUR opinion, all right? Addie enjoyed it, I enjoyed it, some people who saw it enjoyed it... Not EVERYBODY hates EVERY recent MCU movie and TV series, you know!!! Remember that!
While I'm also among those that don't hate it (in fact I found it VERY entertaining), it's fairly easy to understand why people do. The MCU fanbase has become so toxic since Phase 4 started that they just pretty much blindly despise anything Marvel produces now. So when you take that and add on the fact that a lot of these same people still haven't gotten over their general dislike of Brie Larson since she first set foot into the MCU five years ago, you're guaranteed to get a movie that people will automatically hate regardless of how good or bad it is.
I just watched this for the first time today and I rather enjoyed it. The hate against it kept me away initially, but I decided to give it a try. I wasn’t disappointed.
I watched this movie recently and I really enjoyed it. Still understand the hate
I thought it was really fun and much better than her first.
@@DukeDarkshadow So fans became toxic while the movies kept the same quality? Did you hit your head? People start hating when they have a reason to hate.
I don't care if you hate the movie, love the movie, or are somewhat in between. We can all agree that Iman Vellani is the best thing in this movie.
Iman Vellani is a national treasure ^_^
I like Iman Vellani.
I like the musical number.
I like the Flerkin rescue.
I like the Kate Bishop cameo.
I like the Kelsey Grammar Beast cameo.
I see the MCU firing on all cylinders, showing new looks, and paying off fan engagement. But that just me.
I honestly enjoyed this one, I'm really excited to see what they do with the young avengers storyline! Also the actor who played Beast in the end credit scene was Kelsey Grammer who also played Beast in X-men the last stand.
Comics Carol spent time with the X-Men in the 90s. She went by the name Binary. In the credits scene, Monica is wearing the Binary costume.
Kate Bishop & Kamala Kahn Together Was EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED FROM THIS MOVIE AND I'M SO FREAKING HAPPY THAT I GOT IT! =D
Carol Danvers is a Disney princess. That's all I have to say when people ask me how the movie is.
😂😂😂
Magic hair, magic hands, kidnapped and enslaved, and people on Twitter keep saying that what she needs is a big strong man to come and save her
Yeah, she's a Disney Princess all right
@MrGBH she literally married a prince on a singing planet...

Omg i LOVE THE MARVELS! It’s like a comic book coming to life! The camera work, colors and the action! Omf Brie ❤ she delivered the best Captain Marvel ever - obviously Carol now is for the first time ever - on her own skin! Such a development omg! Her invulnerable hero side and her vulnerable humanity. She started jaded and tired with all the pressure on her shoulders, alone.. and ends up loving being part of a team! We saw more layers to Carol’s personality. She couldn’t act on her max power, always holding back, so they wouldn’t randomly switch. Plus the fact that the bangle Dar-Benn wore weakened her. That made they think about real Great team ups! Awesome. Oh Kamala oh boy!!!!! She’s a delight! Monica so cool! Everything here is amazing. Their chemistry is out of this world! Goose and the Flerkittens! ❤ The flaws are normal, nothing we haven’t seen in the MCU before. Love it so much! So good to see my fave Captain Marvel back ❤
17:44
I Love How You & Monica Said That At The EXACT Same Time
Remember that Kamala is a mutant (as described by Bruno). She's likely the only one capable of handling both bangles naturally, apart from Carol who was imbued with Space infinity stone energy via the Tesseract.
As for how I feel about the film, I enjoyed it. It has the wild energy that I had hoped would be in the Multiverse of Madness (which didn't turn all that mad, and seemed to retread the same ground with Wanda). Carol gets to show a little more vulnerability with Monica, and Kamala electrified the screen.
In the comics, the Quantum Bands will overwhelm anyone wearing them who tries to fight for control, and they get disintegrated like Dar-Benn did. Kamala already has experience with one and aside from her natural power she knows how to handle it. Comics Quasar basically accepted he was going to die from the overload and relaxed, and the bands stopped.
Kamala is putting together the Young Avengers which will probably include Kamala, Kate, Billy, Tommy(Wandavision) and Cassie (Ant Man) maybe Riri Williams from Wakanda Forever. There might be a couple more.
America Chavez, hopefully
Possibly patriot also since he was introduced in the falcon and winter soldier and is likely in the new captain America movie.
@@icarusthefinal3206 As long as she doesn't punch anyone. The one she gave Wanda at the end of MoM has to be one of, if not the worst punch in cinema history.
Billy and Tommy don't exist in this reality.
@@troyrizzi2713 He's not a young avenger though. He's gonna be with the other regular avengers
When Monica went to the parallel universe, I thought that would have been a way to get America Chavez (Multiverse traveling powers) to show up. But they went a slightly different direction.
Maybe America Chavez will be in the young avengers and will help get Monica back.
I love Iman Vellani as Kamala. I thought her show was great, and her casting may be the most perfect in the MCU since Downey Jr himself.
This movie was so much fun. I loved it and I think there was something I would add and it is that they should add a scene where we see Carol destroying the Supreme Intelligence and make us sympathize with the villain.
I'm just now realizing that the Kamala/Kate scene is the same ending to the first Iron Man movie that started The Avengers. Guess Young Avengers is next? Possibly Secret Wars?
I adored this movie, glad you liked it also! It's nice to have something for everyone in the MCU: so far we've seen sci-fi, comedy, action, heartbreak, intrigue, supernatural, kung-fu.. there's just a place for so many different types of stories! Love your channel!
I really enjoyed this movie, even the musical part was nicely worked into the story.
I agree Iman Velani plays Kamala/Ms Marvel so well, she was born to play the character.
18:44 Favorite joke of the movie. "He doesn't have to sing"? "No, he's bilingual".
And right before that at 18:15, Carol does the sparkly clothing transformation so she is now officially a Disney Princess.
So crazy enough I actually watched this for the first time 2 days ago. I really enjoyed it, I like these characters, especially Kamala and hope to see more of them in the future.
I liked Ms. Marvel a ton, so Kamala was a big highlight of this movie for me. I was surprised also at how much I enjoyed Monica since she wasn't fleshed out that much in WandaVision. My wife and I definitely had fun with this movie (my wife laughed uncontrollably through the entire cat scene), but I'd have to rank it a little below the mid tier of Marvel films. Brie Larson is an outstanding actress and I like her as Captain Marvel, but I think it's a bit of a problem when of the three characters in the film, she's far and away the one that's the hardest to root for. Marvel has done a good job in the past with this in their team up films, and I was disappointed because I felt that pairing with Ms. Marvel would make her feel more heroic.
As for the general discourse that surrounds this film: it's pretty embarrassing. There are legitimate reasons to criticize or even dislike the film, but it's pretty apparent that's not the case for a lot of folks. A lot of the same people who review bombed Ms. Marvel before it came out because it was about a Muslim teenage girl are going to be giving their opinions here, and it'd be really nice if people can differentiate those folks from people who just didn't like the movie for other reasons. I don't hold out much hope for that, unfortunately.
IMO Carol Danvers has the same problem that Kal-El has. Too much power. There are too many problems that she can't bulldoze her way through like she did on Hala. And she doesn't have a Lex Luthor to keep her humble. It's not easy to come up with a good superhero story when people are expecting fights and explosions every five minutes.
I LOVED this film. It was a fresh change up I felt the films needed.
Don't get me wrong, I have loved everything post-Endgame but it is hard to please when Endgame had a decade and roughly 20-25 films leading up to it. Nothing will compare. Even Spider-Man had SO many films to make the recent one great.
Eternals had a tough road to introduce so many characters (in hindsight, should have been a series), Wakanda Forever is great, but SO heavy. Shang Chi was great, but an intro....now I NEED more Simu!!! Ugh.....I feel like the pandemic and the strikes threw off releases so much and even how to tell a story for film, with all the series these days, it is hard to be pleased.
So for me I really enjoyed how they put this one together, with the only issue MAYBE being that it was too long after the first one. So it was harder to get invested in the antagonist since she is the aftermath of something from so long ago which we never heard about since Carol's initial plan at the end of the first film.
.....if any of that rant makes sense....I type a lot....and my videos can sometimes get like that too (hence why I do movie "talk" rather than reactions on my channel. I yammer on and on more than I react....see....I am still doing it.....)
I am not THAT familiar with the director, but I know they also made the recent Candyman sequel which I also loved and felt that franchise needed...considering I only made it 15min into part 3.
This Movie has been Criminally Misjudged: even I Doubted this one for the longest time, and now...I have never been more Proven Wrong!😇 I'm Honestly Surprised by how much I LIKE "The Marvels"💖it's an absolute Joy! Kamala Khan is easily the Best-&-Funniest Part of all😂and now "Ms. Marvel" is a Personal Favorite of Mine too!👍
Your reactions continue to be exquisite!
Truth!
I love that we got tons of different version of captain marvel from the comics with Photon and Binary, yes it wasn't the best marvel movie but its was good movie movie and was funny when needed to be and Iman Vellani really shined in this the best parts were kamala and her family.
glad that you also liked this movie :)
didn´t understand why it got so much hate online, i think it was awesome ^^
i have watched thousands of movies in my life, none of the marvel movies would get into my top-list of movies, but they all are still very entertaining and if i go to the cinema, i prefere to watch marvel movies and other movies like this, with action , effects & a lot of fun :)
15:06: THIS is what I love about Kamala Kahn. She sees someone in need of a hug, she gives them a damn hug!
Apparently, there's a deleted scene of Kamala getting really into the vibe on Aladna, which makes sense given her love of Bollywood movies, and the singing and dancing her own show. Really wish that hadn't been cut.
This was just a fun, light, breezy adventure, and that's all it needed to be. The stakes were rather high, but not excessively dire, and the overall tone was just "sit back, relax, and have fun." Which was great. Not everything needs be dire consequences and huge threats, there's space for just a three-person buddy adventure flick. And it did deliver on some emotional moments, gave us a look at a more rounded Carol, able to loosen up and have some fun as well as deal with some fallout, issues, and consequences.
I liked it. And yes, the post-credit scene with the X-Men is incredibly exciting. I doubt they'll "import" another universe's X-Men to the MCU, probably start their own version up, but it will be interesting to see. I just want some Fantastic Four, dammit!
If your wondering why Ms marvel uses her powers like bigger hands with long arms it’s cause in the comics she has stretchy powers like Mr fantastic from fantastic four
You're caught up with the MCU now, the next installment is Deadpool & Wolverine coming to theaters in July
From what I read, the singing planet is based on a comic planet where they speak in rhyme. I think the singing was a better scene/joke than having all of them rhyme, even if certain people hated it.
This was such a fun movie!!!
I’m very happy you reacted to it and posted on it RUclips.
Iman Vellani is such a welcome addition to the MCU and I can’t wait to see her team up with the rest of the Young Avengers we’ve met during the Multiverse Saga!
I feel like this movie did a much better job at addressing the tv show instead of how MoM did it.
Most underrated Marvel movie and my favourite one of the 2020s decade people were far too harsh on it!

Film making wise no. And they completely changed the characters personalities. Literally everyone, so from a writing standpoint.. that's near impossible to fuck up that hard. I'm glad you enjoy it though!
Just don't call it underrated, it made more than it should have.
@@SirRockXIII It's curious: the writers changed the personality of Tony Stark from the comics in the movies, but I did not see as much hatred towards this change back in the day. It makes me wonder why. (I have a guess.)

Musical theater fans, unite!
I just got through watching the movie, oh boy is this gonna be fun!
I still have the opinion that most of the vitriol about Marvel's post-Endgame movies is because people want an Endgame level of epicness in every single movie from that point on, and that's not how storytelling works. And the movie that tried that (Eternals) was not successful because there simply wasn't time to establish the emotional connection with the characters, nor the level of threat they were fighting. There are also other factors in play, but this is RUclips and this isn't the right place for this type of conversation in the comments, so I'll remain quiet.
People just need to chill out and enjoy the movies by what they are. The Marvels is far from perfect, but is pretty enjoyable.
THANK YOU!!! I've felt the exact same way since Phase 4 began and people started complaining right out of the gate. Infinity War and Endgame spoiled people rotten because that's what everyone expects now when they forget that those movies had ten years and 20 films worth of buildup behind them.
I'd be happy with another movie like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, or Ant-Man. Something (mostly) standalone, with single-film stakes, and most importantly, competently made. The biggest problem with the MCU hasn't been expectations, it's that the movies have been really poorly made and just super ill-conceived in general.
Marvel learned the wrong lesson from the runaway success of Guardians of the Galaxy and, later, Thor: Ragnarok. They thought that constant jokes and rainbow explosions was what people wanted, when what made the MCU a success to begin with was good movies.
@@jawbone78 I can agree with that, although that can be a symptom of another problem: Marvel is just releasing too much content since Phase 4, considering all the series in the mix. That dilutes the number of writers working on each project, which in turn affect the quality of the scripts.
Not to mention the burden on the CGI people: while I liked the series, She-Hulk lacked the CGI finesse we are used from Marvel.
So the tl;dr is: Marvel got greedy and now is doing a surprised Pikachu face that it isn't working as expected.
@@vinnycordeiro "People just need to chill out and enjoy the movies by what they are"

I really loved it. And I wouldn't mind (would love, actually) watching more scenes of Carol in Aladna. And I'm not into musicals lol
This movie underrated as helllll
Watched The Marvels a few nights ago. Really enjoyed it, especially Iman as Kamela Kahn/Ms Marvel. I wish the best for Iman going forward. She seems like an awesome young lady based on the interviews I've seen with her.
I saw this movie in the theater and absolutely loved it. I still have not been disappointed by anything Brie Larson has done. I think she is an amazing person with many talents and so many layers to who she is. One of my favorite moments in the movie was the interaction between Captain Marvel and Valkyrie; I thought it was beautiful. I would love to see Captain Marvel and Valkyrie in another movie or maybe a series together. And, as someone who has a cat(her name is Smoky), I loved all the little Goose babies running around. They were adorable.
I saw this in theaters and it was a blast.
Blast? Worst Marvel movie was a blast?
I totally agree. Okay, it wasn't for everyone, but I still had so much fun.
Also the origin story of Rambo in the Captain marvel comic is the origin that we saw in the Captain marvel movie in the MCU. She didn't walk through a hex to get her power is. She destroyed a machine in order to protect the world from its power, and the power flowed into her body and gave her powers. Carol Danvers was actually saved by the original male Captain marvel, and when there was a large explosion the radiation went through his body into hers, giving her powers. This was all redacted in the movie.
31:40 "Does Monica Rambeaux have a name?"
Yes.
Captain Marvel was her first superhero name in the comics, but she wasn't the first Captain Marvel. There were many Captain Marvels.
The joke in this movie about trying to find her Superhero name is that Carol Danvers is already using it and having two Captain Marvels in the same movie would be strange.
Although, they did have two Dr. Stranges in the same movie and that was also strange, so I guess having two stranges could have made sense.
So while they didn't name her, they joked about naming her.
At some time in the comics she was called Photon so I guess that will be her superhero name in the MCU, eventually.
I've seen some hate for it being a "deus ex machina" but god damn, the flerkins eating everyone so they can fit in the escape pods is grade A hilarious creativity. This is the kind of fun stuff I want to see in superhero films lol
Kamala is putting together a Young Avengers team. That's why she went to find Kate Bishop and mentioned Cassie Lang.....and chances are we see Tony Stark's daughter on the team as well.
I enjoyed this film. I'm glad they added some people around Carol so she can have peers. I love Ms. Marvel, so I was excited to see her big screen debut, and it was really fun. I hope to see more in the future, especially now that Kate Bishop is in the mix.
I *adored the hell* out of this movie.
I've actually seen a rather wide range of opinions about this one in various places, like Facebook and Reddit. Quite a few people hated on it (many of whom have either never actually watched it, or thrive on manufacturing outrage), and still do. Quite a few people seem to think it's fine and say it doesn't deserve the hate, and then quite a few really like it or love it. I myself really, really enjoyed it. Is it in the upper A+ Eschelon of MCU flicks? No. But it's a solid B/B+ as far as I'm concerned.
Russia has an army of trolls whose whole job is to reviewbomb Star Wars movies and anything else maga would deem "woke."
I'm not making this up. The FBI reported it. Keep that in mind next time you see a ton of online hate for a movie with anifascism or a woman lead.
Ha it's freaking hilarious that you got the group name without trying and then asked "is this the thunderbolts?"
HAHAHA
Great reaction, i absolutely love this movie, Kamala is definitely one of the best characters in marvel imo
Very underrated! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
11:59 I likę that Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) shows up in her Men In Black suit.
When I first watched this I didn't get pass the musical scene but my niece said it was good and to rewatch it. I have to say, Kamala has grown on me.
Iman Vellani is just so likeable. As for this movie, well, Iman Vellani is just so likeable.
Given the events of Secret Invasion, I'm not sure Earth is the best place to relocate Skrull refugees to, even if it is the only other place in the galaxy Skrulls have gathered in mass.
Loved The Marvels. I'm guessing they'll get Capt. Rambeau back using the bangles. Since they were used to create the jump points, they should be able to find her. That, or America will control her powers.
So much to look forward to.
Think Spaceballs did the stealing breathable air from other planets better ngl.
The lack of love for this movie is unfortunate but, sadly, given the history of female-led superhero movies, fairly predictable for whatever reason. Like the first Guardians movie, this was a very necessary romp to relieve us of some of the preciousness that has encumbered the MCU of late (which is why comics do retcons...maintaining multi-storyline continuity can be stifling to creativity). More importantly, it was just plain fun with solid characters all around. An earlier introduction to Dar-Benn's motivation would have been nice, but other than that, I'd place this solidly in the middle of MCU movie rankings.
"given the history of female-led superhero movies"
what does that even mean? did Wonder woman flop as hard as this?
Donald made magaroons FRAGILE AF
I LOVED THIS MOVIE
I liked this movie a lot more on my second watch to be honest
FUNNY FIRST TIME WATCHING THE MARVELS (2023 ) FILM - MOVIE REACTION !!!
I personally love this movie
I like this Movie, I wonder If the Kree are gonna come back before Secret Wars.
While there are of course plenty of exceptions on either side, it sure seems like most of the people who had fun with the movie seem to be normal, well-adjusted folks and most of the ones who absolutely hate it seem to be folks that spend their lives being furiously angry about everything online. Thanks for another lovely reaction, Addie! Have a great week!
MCU manchildren are not "normal" or "well-adjusted", they're the closest thing in the real world to the degenerated people living on the ship in WALL-E; obsessed with cheap, shallow pleasures, averse to growth and challenge, and easily led around the nose by a computer like a pig to a trough full of slop.
i guess you're the exception
In the comics Monica was once Captain Marvel. That was before Carol became Captain Marvel. Also, Carol Danvers was once Ms Marvel before she replaced Mar Vel (a man in the comics) as Captain Marvel. As Ms Marvel, Carol's powers were stolen by the X-Man Rouge. That's when she stopped being Ms Marvel. Camala is new to me. But that's the correlation between these three. Kinda confusing. Yeah it's a bit much.
People really love to hate movies with women, and yes, i know the movie is far from being perfect but it's a fun time, the characters are really charismatic and Whether people like it or not, it's one of the most important films for the MCU
I really love Brie as Captain Marvel and is really sad to see how people treat her
"People really love to hate movies with women"
so that includes you right
@@craigime definitely not, my room has as much Captain Marvel merch as Kamala's, honestly, for me the best part of every superhero movie is the female superheros
the powers are cooler, the characters are more developed, everything is much better
@@Gabrielclarke15 how is captain marvel's character more developed than captain america's or tony stark's or thor? and how are her power cooler? she's just a weaker female superman. how is wonder woman's powers cooler than superman's or the flash?
@@craigime Sorry, how many years did we have Steve? Tony? Thor? How many movies did they have? Of course it doesn't compare to her, who has only appeared in 3 productions so far
You can even say that her character is not that developed and I agree with that, I'm saying that her arc as a character interests me much more than the male heroes
also, you can talk all you want but don't you dare say that her powers aren't cooler than red armor, a man with super strength and a guy who shoots lightning from a hammer
And yes Wonder Woman is WAY better than superman, or batman or any mid men you can think of
And if you don't agree, that's up to you, that's my opinion and I'm not hurting anyone with it
I will never understand this need that you guys have to respond to every comment we make about how superhero fans are indeed misogynistic and that women are infinitely cooler than men but you are too proud to see that
@@Gabrielclarke15 so it's ok for you to be misandrist, buy not for men to be misogynistic?
Only recently remembered that Princess Marvel was part of the "graffiti" scene in Ms Marvel. I enjoyed this movie, but I think they should have left the deleted scenes in. Also, watching Marvel Studios Assembled has made me appreciate even more how much work and care they actually put into these movies/series. Many "fans" like to complain that they don't always parrot the comics, choosing to ignore the fact that the MCU is its own thing (you'd think the introduction of the multiverse would have made that obvious, but....😄). As for the musical scene, we have also had a bit of musical theater in Hawkeye.
The actress that plays the main villain is engaged to Tom Hiddleston.
This movie was flerken amazing.
I've considered they could do Young Avengers or Champions teams, maybe. Not read much on 'em. I loved Spectrum/Photon in the comics.
Addie, you didn't show it, but in the comic books, the Kree's leader? isn't an a.i. , it's a huge alien head in a jar with tentacles coming out of his brain, and they called him the Supreme intelligencgor and he was one of the big bads of the marvel universe, so i was disappointed that there was no Captain Marvel 2 , where she fights him/it , that would have been a cool movie in between the first captain marvel movie and this one
Carol Danvers had the original superhero name of Ms marvel. Monica went by Captain marvel first. I own Captain marvel number one, which is her origin story. She didn't start going by other names until Ms marvel, Carol Danvers we appeared after being killed by rogue, the one from the X-Men. In the comics rogue was evil until professor x brainwashed her into believing she was good. And the reason why rogue has the powers you see in the X-Men comics is because she sucked all of Carol danver's powers out and had her powers permanently, including her power siphoning abilities.
He didn't brainwash her. She came to him for help when the psyches she had absorbed started to overwhelm her.
I really enjoyed this film. All the other post-Endgame films have downer storylines (except maybe Quantummania, which was disappointing anyway). This one was just having fun, didn’t take itself to seriously, and was charming. A good old fashioned popcorn fun movie. Huzzah.
Did you ever watch the Ms. Marvel series? There was a lot of dancing her series, singing not so much lol. But that series was so fun. I found the singing portion in this movie a little...odd...but hey we had fat Thor so anything is possible. One big question, is Kamala using both Bands now? Why not. she can control them. I was waiting for them to call Monica "Photon" at the end when she was in her Binary form...oh well. Kamala looks like she's building, you said it, "The Young Avengers" There has already been talk of all the younger heroes banding together: Kamala/Ms. Marvel, Kate/Hawkeye, Scar-Hulk's Son (introduced in She-Hulk), Iron Heart (in Wakanda Forever), Wanda's Twin Sons (real ones from an alt dimension, Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness) a young black man version of Captain America (introduced in Falcon & the Winter Soldier) and...missing a couple, probably not Spider-Man. Also, yes the X-Men Universe should play into the Secret Wars storyline!
I probably liked this movie more than GoG3 and it certainly better than the last few movies before then. It was fun, Kamala Khan is amazing and it nice to have a change in the movie format that was getting a little stale.
Thank goodness for Kamala Khan
Call me crazy, but I didn't hate The Marvels. I thought it was okay. It wasn't amazing, or even great, but it was okay.
Also, this film was released on my birthday. It's just a fun fact.
I rank this movie as enjoyable. Enjoyable is lower than good but better than Meh. Most Marvel movies don't go lower than Meh.
Always fun to watch movies released on your birthday.
@@fortunatus1 that's about what I think of it, too.
@johnniequinn3215 I actually didn't watch it on my birthday. I was busy, so I watched the day before showing. Still cool it released on my birthday.
it sucked
Coming off the back of Star Trek : Strange New World's episode, "Subspace Rhapsody," I chuckled at the singing bit in this. I thought it was a well paced fun film, and really don't know where the hate comes from (and that's not me asking, either 😅)
I liked this movie, it's a simple plot and easy to follow. Critics consider it a failure, because it doesn't make the amount of money the movies in the MCU Infinity Stone saga made, it's a good stand alone movie.
