I used to play this for my daughter when she was very young. I just received a letter from her and one thing she told me is that this song has been in her head for a couple of days and it makes her think of me. She hasn't heard it in over 15 years, but she wrote the words to it almost word for word. She's almost 31 now:) Thank you to Billy, Bonnie and Sunny.
I just love this song, I played this song all the way to Las Vegas and back what a plesant trip it made, to be able to hear Bonnie sing this upbeat #, love em all, but this one brings special memories for me.
Bonnie's about the only human being on earth who can completely upstage Alison Krauss. That's not to take anything away from Alison, who's superb in her own right, but nobody can share a stage with Bonnie.
Bonnie is such a phenomenal singer and guitar player, and I just love every time she plays with the great Alison krauss. Even the best singers sound even better when she's on stage with them. Two favorites!
One of my favorite Bonnie Raitt songs, definitely one of my favs off of the Luck Of The Draw album. I was at this live recording. I remember Bonnie kept having to redo the main guitar lick because she hadn't played it in so long hehe. I didn't mind the retakes though. I wish they would have included the retakes on the dvd/cd release of this concert. It was definitely a fun event to be at.
Love this tune and have played it for years but cowboy chord style E7 A B7 and D7 hammering the major 3rd and the 6th on the E lick, D7 at the 3rd fret, great tune. Love Bonnie and especially Jon Cleary and the Gents.
That looks open tuned when she goes to the 4 chord she's flat across the frets. Also the comment above seems to confirm that. It's fun to play in regular tuning though.
@@plgplgplg Haha - must have missed the other comment. Spent a little too much time trying to figure out what she was doing while in standard. Thanks for the reply!
To eblunot: My guitar player, Ricky Hirsch made up that lick by tuning his guitar to an open G chord. I made him go over to Bonnie's house and teach it to her, as she wanted to play it herself on the recording. Billy Vera
In her early days there was a musician by the name of Jack..forgot his last name..ended up in Fl ..met him playing golf there..what was his last name? He still played and sang amazing..i have often thought of him
This and other Billy Vera hit are available now on his new CD, "The Billy Vera Story". This is an UNPAID Non- Political Announcement. Keep rocking and writing those songs BV. Your webcast producer SF.
Loving this! A delightful friend sent this song to me...thanks Bob! So happy to have amazing songs like this to listen to. Bonnie, and Alison are brilliant! (*_*)
I've tried googling it a bunch of times and can't find anything except the lyrics. It seems fairly simple, just one five and then the four for the chorus, but I can't seem to get the timing right.

I'm sorry but it just seems down right unfair for these two women to be so beautiful, intelligent, and talented!😊
