When melee combat systems in Darktide, Vermintide, and Chivalry exist... it sets the bar super high for these newer games. Knowing that they have some Chivalry devs working on this is extremely promising. We need more larger scale PvE coop games, and it gets me excited seeing this trend continue to take hold with the massive success that Helldivers has seen. Cheating in multiplayer PvP has become so bad that the gaming community is just foaming at the mouth for more non competitive multiplayer experiences.
Absolutely agree about the co-op games revival we're seeing! We need so much more of this.
@@MrAtomicDuck Non related, but I've been playing Fallout 4 in survival mode for about a month now after watching the show and having an absolute blast. Highly recommend it if you're looking for something to scratch the PZ itch while we wait for B42! One of the most underrated survivalcraft experiences and one of the very few AAA takes on the genre. It feels like it was meant to be played this way and I find some of my PZ mindset rolling over perfectly into the gameplay loop there.
The zombies should be woke peoples, with kathleen kennedy as a boss zombie
@@SaltedBadly you have a brain virus
This game hasn't been on my radar for a few months, but I remember being excited when I heard about it. It's damn good to see that things are apparently going smoothly. I'll definitely be keeping a closer eye on it going towards its release.
Yeah I heard about it a while ago and figured it was still a way off! Really cool to see it's going to be releasing so soon.
Oh man it's been a loooong time since I played the first one
Before I heard this announcement, it was for me too!
Same I’m hyped
Original game was so much fun, especially pre-steam days when you had to manually install it and the Source SDK, everyone who played either knew what they were doing or were very open to learning. When it launched on steam the game just got filled with trolls sadly, still a ton of fun if you can get a group of friends together though.
Oh man, WAY back in the day.
I appreciate the details on this, looks fun!
Heck yeah man. Thanks for the support. You play the first one?
Hey look who it is!
No more room in hell still has a pretty decent sized player base for being such an old game. I’ve hoped on a few times here and there and it’s pretty easy to find a few servers that are almost full
Yeah for sure, was fairly quick for me to find a game when I was recording this :D
Here's hoping they stayed true to their core design philosophy and will include those dreaded little speed demons.
They confirmed on a live stream child zombies won't be in the 2nd game :( They didn't explain why, but I'd imagine it would cause some issues with governing bodies.
Its not just that. They frankly changed too many things for it to feel like NMRIH anymore. I hope my suspicions are wrong but they have essentially turned this game into a zombie extraction shooter with ridiculous premises of “saving humanity by fixing nuclear powerplant” instead of the gritty, grounded, and claustrophobic feel of the original where survival is first and foremost. Hell, compare the original trailer to the newest one and the trailer for the OG game. This new trailer seems to whitewash and even trivialize the threat of zombies. All I can see are the bad signs of a game that was hijacked by people who have ZERO actual idea what the community wants or WTF they are doing. I’m sorry but until they prove my suspicions wrong this game will have a special place in hell reserved for it despite being called no more room in hell.
@@123asap6i don't think that powerplant can be saved. Maybe we will see the opposite when it will blow the surroundings and we should escape before it happens? Anyway, we haven't fully seen this map, so let's just wait until it comes.
are you going to be following this further? im very interested in updates about it if you plan on making them.
I'd really like to cover this one more, yes! Really depends how well the videos do as to whether I do more, but I'll definitely be playing it :)
@@MrAtomicDuck awesome! I can't wait! :3
Been waiting for years, I'm so excited!!!
Not the only one!
I was waiting for thiss
You knew I was gonna be into this 👀 Gots to have my zombies!
Great to see you doing other topics. This one looks incredible, I’ve had my eyes on it for a while.
Thanks! Been doing variety for a while but they don't tend to do as well. Just gotta keep trying :)
@@MrAtomicDuck No harm in that, some people are here for something specific and others are here for the whole package :)
I've waited since 2015 when they announced part 2 as well as the years of it getting pushed back multiple times. I can't believe they're actually releasing it this year. Can't wait!
It is our time!
Looks Dope cant Wait!
Definitely one we'll be looking forward to :D Hope to see you stream it!
WOW that's amazing. I was super into source zombie stuff back in the day, I still am, I haven't heard about this till now.. this looks amazing! Thank you so much for giving me this little wake up call. I greatly look forward to this
My pleasure! I think it's one that's flying under a lot of people's radar right now, but when release comes around I can see it being a big hit.
@@MrAtomicDuck Absolutely! It's not just going to ride off of nostalgia either, it looks like an awesome game that will stand on it's own and bring in a whole new community for it!
I'm excited for this. I feel like it's a game that would be much better the more attention it gets, not only for game play, but also because the developers will get the funds to keep going and fix bugs and make further updates too.
Oh absolutely. It's gonna be big when it releases, I can see a bunch of content creators playing it.
It's speculation but I wonder if the map will work similarly to tranzit from BO2, where players can choose to play individual levels instead of the complete map.
Interesting thought. No suggestion of that yet, but I guess we'll see!
I’ve been looking forward to this game since before its original release date 1-2 years ago, super hopeful the additional funding has been put to good use and we get a great game out of out!
I hope so too!
it better not suck, the first is still so good after all these years.
Fingers crossed!
This was one of the games that really excited me. I can't wait to get my hands on it this fall!
You and me both. Love me some zombie games.
beaver go quack! never heard of the original but always nice to see upcoming games that might be worth a look!
Quack! Oh man, absolute classic. I'm pumped.
Oh wow so cool! I dont know if I personally have the guts to play this kind of game but I love it, its so aesthetically pleasing!! I Would love to watch you play :D
Oh I'll be on this one when it drops for sure :) Might have to try and drag you into it 👀
As a massive fan of nmrih1, I am extremely skeptical about this game... It seems like it has no features similar to the original other than basic combat, and the name of the original. The fact that they used to have multiple maps and zombie children for nmrih2 in the old dev log videos, and now after the acquisition from torn banner all of that is changed or removed according to the recent stream somehow?? This is giving me serious back 4 blood vibes.
Yeah. They were all cagey about their developer/sponsor/publisher for a long time and the vibes I get from the development videos aren't really acknowledging the linear and objective based roots of NMRiH1.
If I remember correctly, from the most recent Dev Stream, the child zombies wont be added for Early Access Release, but hopefully they get added at some point, in the near future
Correct, yeah. They confirmed child zombies won't make it in, and whilst it would be cool to see them, I also totally get why they wouldn't want to risk it. Restrictions are a lot tighter than they used to be.
Naw not in America tho they should have the freedom to put what they want in the game
@@ianh2090Tipper Gore ruined that for us
I'm curious just how big the big map is. The original title had pretty tight linear maps, so will this one be more open ended?
Certainly looks like it, just going off the drawn map they've shown us so far.
To be fair, the linear maps have variations kind of like left 4 dead slightly changed the maps. Looking forward to seeing the game firsthand when it comes on Halloween!
Have never played the first one, but I love Left 4 Dead. Thanks for covering this one! It'll definitely be on my radar from now on.
My pleasure!
I remember a tabletop game of the same name, originally by Iron Ivan Games.
For real? I might have to look that up.
Well now i need to play the first one
Worth giving it a go just for some fun and to get the feel of it!
This video actually came out earlier than I thought! I was expecting exactly 3:00, but I guess I'm wrong :D
Hope you like it! :D
@@MrAtomicDuck I actually haven't seen it yet! I'm saving it to watch with my Dad later!
looks interesting, and has a longer history than i thought
Oh yeah, this one goes way back. Excited to see what they do with this one!
haha no way. were you already making this vid when i suggested it the other day? :D
Yep!!
You should be come zombie if you die!
That used to happen in the 1st game, so I'm sure it'll be in this one too!
*I've got 4 loads left.*
I do hope we get Broadway3 eventually. If they don't do it, I assume the community will at least port the old maps from Source to Unreal.
2:30 There are actually respawns in default NMRIH1 but I think you need like 100 kills in a session to get a respawn? There's two different game modes though so I don't know if the objective maps allow respawns or if it's just incredibly hard to farm 100 kills on an objective map due to their pacing but on survival maps it's definitely doable for veterans.
It's been a while since I played so apologies if I got anything wrong.
There are casual and hardcore modes in the first one, yeah, but they make a pretty big deal about "Permadeath" in the trailers for the 2nd one.
@@MrAtomicDuck That's good, it will be better that way. Zomboid is still king of the genre but it's great that we have so much competition in the zombie genre.
@@Guts-the-BerserkerFor the survival maps, you get respawn tokens based on kills in Casual mode. In Classic, you respawn after the wave is over. In Nightmare, it's the same as in Classic, but you'd be damned if you die even once.
Objective maps have one or two respawn areas throughout the map; these are the same every run.
@@MrAtomicDuckWhich makes no sense, since NMRiH1's gameplay loop is objective based maps that can be completed in 20 minutes. Some community made maps are much longer (i.e. someone doing a solo battery run on a 1 hour long custom map), but how does this game fit into the one play session rule? Did they expand the play session length? Because I don't have the free time for a 2 or 3 hour match.
Was a HUGE fan of nmrih1, the single map in nmrih2 makes me nervous about replayability, as nmrih1 had so many awesome maps and gamemodes. I trust nmrih1 devs to not butcher their baby though.
This was my concern too. We saw a bit of a sneak peak of the map on a dev stream just after this video went up though, and it does look like a massive setup.
loved the first game cant wait for the 2nd :P
Same here!
@@MrAtomicDuck yesssirrrrrr
the zombie kids in NMRH 1 was kinda disturbing after you killed them they make this kind of disturbing sound...
last time i played that game was on 2018
Was a while for me too before I made this video!
I hope this is going on consoles
No plans for console with early access, but they'd like to later, IIRC.
Was that a fucking zombie kid?
Yeah, they had them in the first game, though it's been confirmed we won't see them in the 2nd one. Likely due to heightened regulations since the first game was made.
Eight player co-op GS
Child Zombies are best Zombies.
I always feel games miss out by not having the said zombie children.. It's a imaginary scenario, children would also become zombies in these scenarios. And holy sh*t it'd be terrifying to encounter them.. ! I can see the "moral" dilema of it but in the end I think it'd bring more life to the stories and experiences.
I am very much interested in playing this game but if its going to play like the first one janky and buggy forget it and being its coming out as early access i guess where going to be guinea pig while fixing the bugs for it
I mean, yeah, Early Access will always come with a certain amount of bugs. That's just the nature of Early Access. That said, when they made the first one they were much less experienced, a bunch of modders working on their first ever title. Now they're more experienced and have some industry experts to back them. I'd suspect the quality will be much higher.
I hope this can be played solo as well as a group. I'm not really a fan of group based video games.
I wouldn't get your hopes up, honestly. No More Room In Hell has always been a co-op orientated game where you rely on your team.
You can probably play solo but it’ll be like playing more punishing first person shooter Project Zomboid
@@MrAtomicDuckThe first game is actually very easy to solo: having one target that the zombies march towards makes kiting and AI manipulation a lot easier. You can zombie ride really easy when alone
no more room in hell bros we are winning
Heck yeah brother. 😎
If they remove zombie children I ask don't bring in zombie dogs. Keep it brutal or don't do it at all
Zombie kids have literally just this minute been confirmed to NOT be in the 2nd game on a dev live stream.
@@MrAtomicDuck so they made zombies woke... you guys remember when zombies were the horror of the undead and seeing a kid zed was terrifying and disturbing
Not sure being "woke" has anything to do with it... But alright. I'd imagine the devs are just hoping to avoid complications with governing bodies.
@MrAtomicDuck well resident evil 5 takes place in Africa so then it got hit as a racist game when released. So when I mean woke I mean all the sensitive people who go oh this is outrageous il blow it out of proportion meanwhile rarely is it even important. Used to idiots making a big deal out of everything they can basically and they're already getting what they want. Hopefully the game can still be designed to be a horror zombie situation
@@johnmcconnell7052NMRiH was a game of its era. Due to the way zombie children served a very nice gameplay purpose of being glass cannons, I think they might be able to figure out an alternative method that the ratings boards will let them publish the game. Killable kids usually instantly gives a game a Mature at the lowest, but tends to be Adults Only.
Is it free?
Shouldn't it be called Still No More Room in Hell?
😂 Love this.
is the game gonna be free to play ???
Negative.
hi
Hey! 👋
Finally a zombie game that doesnt have stupid ridiculously mutated. One reason I don't vibe with RE franchise.
I can go either way. Sometimes it adds difficulty, but usually if the zombies are more grounded, they need to find other ways to add challenge and that can be more interesting.
I tought you were 30… I’m 2 years older then you… I feel old now… wanna die.
Sorry 😂😂
the game will cost 60 euros😵💫
Is this a sponsored video?
Nope! Just genuinely excited for it.
Who's the girl at 0:08?
One of the characters from the trailer! I'd imagine she'll be a playable character.

Not an ad, just a game I'm genuinely excited about. I would legally have to disclose if I was sponsored and, being one of my regular viewers, you know I always do! :)
@@MrAtomicDuck Thanks, you rock! I've been burned by other content creators only to watch a whole video of them talking about a game and then at the very end find out they were paid to say it all, lol.

Left 4 dead x resident evil???
I'm skeptical, It looks and feels exactly like Back4Blood... and we all know how disappointing that was
If these zombie game devs want to really go above and beyond, I don't care about the graphics, I care about the games mechanics and environment. Take notes from L4D2
I mean... The environment looks stunning, and the mechanics in the first game were great. I think we're generalizing here because the graphics look similar to more modern zombie titles, which is expected.
This game looks like it lost its direction from the 1st one. I'm not digging it.
No PVP? But how does one gank noobs! redicalus
You just want to wave your big P... vP around.
@@MrAtomicDuck My P... vP is incredibly average thank you
Stop trying to opt this game you were not around for the development. You only showed up because of the stream the other day and nobody Gaf who you were.
Hey man, I don't know who's upset you, but if someone covering a video game they're genuinely excited about because they played it as a teenager upsets you, I'd consider looking inwards. That's all I'm gonna say.
All the best :)
Man, the first game was such a blast!! The 2nd looks like it approves upon the first game which is fantastic!! 😆🤌
Agreed!
