The US and the rest of the world are also drawing out the war by demanding that Israel keep PAUSING this war for "cease fires". All that's done is allow Hamas to regroup and recover and add months to this conflict. It's conceivable that this war would be over in Gaza had there been no cease fires. And drawing out this war has exacerbated any humanitarian crises. The rest of the world is partly to blame for the continued suffering of civilians. If Israel had been allowed to prosecute and finish this war already, life could be getting back to normal in Gaza.

Nobody knows how many hostages are actually still alive today.
