Excellent job on the sump and only 2x pin holes, if it were me that sump would be a garden sprinkler,.. Well not really.. Correct my wrong but if your going blacktop/st170 , isn't the oil pump pipe in a different position to silvertop ..I forget ..
Another brilliant example of your garage engineering love how you show us step by step learnt a lot from your videos thank you dave..
Great result having just the two small leaks to fix on the sump.
That’s what I call a great achievement
To make that with no specialist tools is mental credit to you rewlly enjoying your videos

Hi Marty, the ST170 block is the same as the Zetec, oil pump location is the same, but the pick up is different.
It's so pretty, its almost a shame to have to paint it.
😊
Enjoying all your videos Dave . What thickness sheet do you use ? Doing some fabrication this week myself.
@@johnparke4836 hi John, mostly 0.9mm for body work, 1.5mm &2mm for chassis stuff.
@@DavesGarageuk Thanks Dave . Just ordered a sheet of 1.0 mil today. So good to go 😎😎
@@DavesGarageuk Thanks Dave
I just filled mine with parrafin, then welded up where it leaked. Obviously having removed the parrafin first 😂
🤣🤣 Once I've got it on the engine, I'll gently pressurise it all again, and do the soapy water test.
