- My 1964 MGB has a 1971 MGB engine which was an upgrade to 5 main bearings instead of the 1964's 3 main bearings. The engine has a cam that was made for the supercharger. It has numerous upgrades for handling, safety and speed.
Thanks for the great video. I have a 1973 GT and the supercharger idea is very appealing
With the condition and the work done to the motor, worth all of the 20 thou. Good luck with the Porsche ( although IM
Hi there, yoi exhaust sounds great. What setup is it? Thanks
I saw an MGB with a blown stroker mill, putting out 217 BHP at the crank. I have a suspicion you might be able to get the B-series up to 300 BHP at the crank, dare you try it?
That would be great, but I just sold mine. At 74 I’m ready for a little more comfort in my sports car. Looking at Porsche Boxster S. That’s all the power I’ll need.
300 bhp for a b series 😯
@@chrisadams6595 Yes, you read that right. I’ve heard of Austin A-Series putting out 300 BHP in a street car on nitrous, so it’s within the realms of possibility. If you can put an LS head on it, you’ll have a killer street and strip tear away.
How much?
$20, 500
I had 4 MGB’s over many years. Not for a long time now, but this car could make me get back to another one.
All that time wasted looking at the dashboard.
I could understand if you were butchering a post 67 MGB. No sympathy for a poorly veiled advertisement for a butchered Series 1. The only way you would be out $20K is if you are the typical clueless, have other people do the work MGB owner.
