Even without the expensive cameras...microphones...compressors...this sounds effing amazing. Thank you Carter.
Its downright mind boggling the musicianship eluding from these 3 dudes.. Superb..
Carter McLean - in my eyes one of the best drummers on earth.
100%
Its a good thing you brought all of those backup snares! ;)
Seriously though, sounds great hearing you play with people!
Haha 😆. Good comment!
Live the way Carter plays. So relaxed and fluid.
A lot of music, brothers, great guitar solos, voice, solid bass harmonic base and dynamics, expressive, careful execution of the drums, great trio, thanks for sharing, I'm enjoying it
The forecast calls for a high risk of sympathetic snare buzz.
You should be a weatherman because it was a real thing
Just went to a clinic at Bentleys and watched an employee flip the throw offs on about 50 drums before the show started
In a trio you need all the help you can get!
I quite enjoyed the buzz from the snares! To me it reminded me of listening to a radio broadcast that’s a bit out of focus. The signal isn’t quite perfectly clear but clear enough to know that the song is groovin. Great playing by all of you. And singing was top shelf!!
Absolutely my favorite drummer these days! Huge influence on my playing.
This is honestly one of the greatest displays of true, veteran musicianship I've ever seen.
Thank's for this Moment, 👍 Roberto Cagliari Sardegna Italy
Amazing to think Jim Oblon was Paul Simon's drummer (he who played with Gadd) on his last tours. That someone is world class on drums AND guitar just isn't fair to the rest of us mortals!
I saw him live a week ago or so and he is unreal haha
Excuse me ? That's effing hilariously glorious..👍🤣
Carter's sound and playing is so cool. So effortlessly tasteful. Loved it.
I had the privilege of being able to catch Jim at the Owl Shop during his weekly residency back in the day- his music matches superbly with Whiskey and cigars. This is a combo I'd love to see there. Fantastic stuff.
Your single hand rolls & ghost notes are things of beauty!
Authenticity here and now. Thank you men! You are the cactus among the love flowers! Love it!
Great feel. The room sound is remarkably good.
No wonder with all those drums....
I don't think I'm the only one who gets super excited when a new video is released. Great performance of you and the trio! I really enjoyed it!
All that rattling of the snare wires. At first i thought it was some slight feedback, but then i remembered every band practice i ever had
Spectacular show - kudos to all. Jim is a genius and yu'all nailed a great feel - wish I could have been there
Three absolute monsters. That lead guitar sound is just fantastic
Thoroughly enjoying this.....
You make it feel so dang good man! You’ve had a ton of impact on my playing. Thank you
Such an awesone grooves come out of your veins, Mr. McLean.. Grande !..
By listening to all 3 of you individually (focused listening) its really great to hear what you all bring to play and how amazing you all are as solo artists. This is truly what jams should be. Musically orchestrated chaos. 👌🏻
Wonderful trio. Excellent 3-piece. Thanks for posting. Happy New Year to you all @Sir Carter McLean.
12:28 epic intro!
YEAH ! Happiness in box...
Inspiration you all...esp. Carter - thanks for da soulful drumming...
Great show. Love the energy of you guys sharing in the experience of playing together for the first time. Cheers.
Excellent! I'm sure that they will be more than happy to have you back.
That was awesome, great musicians.

Thanks, Jim! Sounding great as usual!!! (from Jim Clark)
17:30 Is it just me or did Carter quote Big Sid just then... OOF. This band was so tight.
Already sounds great
Wonderful drumming Carter! Very groovy!
I love that snare drum wall!!!!!!!!
So glad I discovered you Carter. Just stellar groove and feel. Love the high hat move without losing a beat in Automobile :)
That's soo good. It's a pleasure listen to your music, thanks! You are welcome to visit Poland and play a gig!
Phenomenal playing 👏👏👏
Great players right there 👏
Haha I love it dude. So great.
This is great! I'm hearing some Keith Carlock vibes Carter!
I m flabbergasted 😲 the sound, the blues, that one leg that stays in position ( most of the time)
Bom demais 👏👏👏
ライブ観てみたい!
It's 'What They Do'
Gratefully Entertained,
Ted Furlo
Carter's playing is like butter.
Yesss
shello super cool le live top topmerci
Jim right in the beginning "I turned all the snares off" All 300? Lol! Man! That's a lot of snares!
Great!!
Grooove vom feinsten 💘
from Germany
Thanks for sharing this great music! ☺️🙏
What’s the Snare and cymbals?
The ZOOM Q8 is a cool little camera, use it all the time for practice and live performances.🖖
I really wish that first song was recorded professionally, its badass!
Hey Carter! Great video, sounds absolutely great even with camera audio!
Btw, may I ask where did your Dustin Tebbutt - Winter Sun cover go? It was one of my favourite covers from you! I'm sure you have a good reason for that, just curious!
Holy snare buzz 🐝
You sound good playing anything.
I'm assuming their Istanbul, as Carter is an Istanbul artist, and snare is Ludwig, as carter, again, endorses Ludwig. I'm assuming it's a vintage 60s Ludwig jazz fest..
Very cool
Really nice to hear you playing with other musicians, just recorded with a Zoom Q8! I am wondering what cymbals did you bring with for this style of music? Soundwise I would assume its a full set of 30th Anniversary + Signature China.
Has anyone made a setlist of this performance ? I would really appreciate one because I couldn't hear what they say to eachother between songs.
Роскошь!
Hello!
Nice sound of the band and the drumset particular, awesome!
Could you please describe the way you've recorded all the band instruments and whats the mic for recordings of the drums, can not see this.
Thanks beforehand!
Do we get a prize for guessing which snare is buzzing? Really enjoying the playing, very smooth, thank you!
what’s the cymbal set up carter
Who's kit are you playing. Still the vintage spurs kept the BD from moving even when you were kicking it. HH stand maybe not so much. Great sound all around.
If I heard a snare buzz in there I would go insane.
5
Sublime... 12.5mins, 44mins, 60 mins
CAPO!!
Anybody knows what happened to Carters Insta? I miss watching the content a lot : (
Neil Peart would be shocked at the number of drums in your kit
In the slovak language : MASAKEEEER !!!! 🤙🎶🥂
At 17:29, It sounded like you play Max Roach's "For Big Sid"
Hey where did your Instagram go Carter? Couldn’t find you on there today.
So, all of you that do not always play flashy chops, identify with Carter. I do too.
Anyone know what snare was used on this performance?
It’s a 7” walnut prototype
"Great stuff! Carter, which line of Ludwig are you laying down the groove on here?"
Some people collect Scotch, and some people collect snare drums. That is one huge selection behind you.
hahaha you can hear all the snares buzzing in the room, unless Im totally trippin!
酷!
What's up with his instagram page?
@A What is going on with this? I really want to find out.
James gadson influence?!!!
Telecaster never lies at 12:50
Daaaamn, part 1: Feels sooooo good straight of the bat...
Daaaamn part 2: Press all that shit straight to vinyle right the f now.
