I must've watched your titanic sinking video 50 times when I was in tgird grade. Back then, we didn't have ultra realistic sinking animations. Thanks for this small burst of nostalgia.
This is a peice of art! I have always had an interest in the Titanic and to see this come to life is awesome, all the time spent making it accurate and the smallest details worked out from lighting to stack smoke is fantastic, plus actually able to get it in the water and sail it. Great work!
The fourth stack vented the turbine compartment-which was also watertight, and the first- and second- class galleys. Coloring of the lights is excellent, the old ships bulbs were far from white.
3:00 it wasn't a dummy but was fully functional and vented engine and exhaust gases. It had smoke come out, but just less than the other 3. I do love the model though!
DON'T YOU DARE SINK THAT MODEL. 1,130 hand drilled portholes, straws to create the correct warm lighting effect, brilliant. Excellent super detailed Titanic scale model! Great Work! The time and effort going into this heavy modified, 1/350th scale operating Titanic, we're incredible!
“Amazing” this is simply common knowledge. Anyone who has watched any “list” video on titanic would know this. Also the dummy funnel was to ventilate the engine room and it was so the ships looked larger than The Mauretania and the Lusitania

Looks good, thanks for another video. I was hoping the tug Brooklyn would make an appearance, but then I realized the Titanic would be 28' long in 1:32 scale!
What colors did you use for the funnels, wood decks and bottom red of the hull? Also I’m interested in your help I’m 13 and I’m currently building a minicraft 1/350 titanic model and I need some tips from great model builders like you! So is there any way of contacting you for any further questions?
The deck looks yellow, which is inaccurate, the decks were made from a light pine for the superstructure and a darker tone of teak for the forecastle and poop decks. Assuming they used the box the anti fouling should be atsf mineral brown
The fourth stack was not a dummy added for looks and it did work. It was used as a vent for various rooms inside the ship and I think the kitchen. So it didn't have as much smoke as the others, but it still was not for looks. (Also, yes I know this video is old but I just wanted to point this out.)
Dude this model is A M A Z I N G. And I love the fact you used a 4 Blade Center Propeller (I mean most models include that) But still this model is amazing the only thing I see wrong is the deck color.they should be a little bit lighter.but still amazing work!
You guys where my childhood. I remember watching your titanic videos and the huge navel ship. Here's a suggestion and a question: can you make a boat or a barge explode and sink and what ever happened to the original navy boat that you guys rebuilted in 2016?
I would've liked to have seen in detail how you engineered the rudder controls and how you dealt with 'stuffing box' issues for your drive shafts. On little boat models like this I've never been able to come up with a good seal around prop shaft penetrations without robbing any power from the motors. How're most rc boat builders doing this?
It would be cool if you compare it to the other R/C titanic that you can buy though it’s obvious the one you made it better in many ways it would still be neat to compare it
Maybe the historical society for Harland and Wolfe would be interested in at least seeing it. Well done gentlemen. The drive gears from the r/c motors to the propellers below deck almost perfectly resemble her reciprocating engines
Great Video by the way. I'm working on a battery powered battleship of my own. Rapidnadion was my inspiration for my boats. My boat will be on my channel.
Did you have to paint the photo-etched brass railings? I'm wondering because my railings are just in brass, and it will look weird. Were your brass too?

It's a very nice model. And it must be really, really exciting to recreate the shipwreck that took the lives of 1,500 people. It's really a pity that we can't have small plastic figures, in proportion to the model and which would be remote-controlled to jump screaming into the water and which we would see sinking while waving their arms to recreate the passenger drowning. There really are wonderful hobbies and toys today.
Would you perhaps be able to make a video about the construction of the tugboats, or would there not be enough footage? Also, do you happen to know anywhere I could look to enqure about the rules and regulations surrounding model ships? Loved the video, a wonderful peice of miniature engineering and a true inspiration to other miniature enthusiasts out there!
Just not enough there to substantiate a video on these tiny boats, sorry steaming! But we base the boat on the size of the power plant, electronics and their orientation (rudder servo), and battery. We stack up the balsa layers to where the boat is high enough to support the weight of all the components. That sometimes makes the project a little top heavy, so then we need to add ballast.. a vicious cycle of sorts. No R & R's surrounding model ships that we're aware of..
+Rapidnadion Thanks for the info, and no need to apologise. Looking forward to the next project. Do you plan to do more classic or small builds or is the plan to continue with more modern ships? Either way I'm still looking forward to it. :)

Interesting idea using those particular smoke units, however you could have saved on topside mass by using a harbor models smoke generator, of which then you'd only have the lines from the unit running up into the stacks instead of the whole unit itself. Plus the harbor models unit would have helped with ballast.
H M unit doesn't put out sufficient smoke to satisfy 3 funnels. Ducting for smoke would add weight aloft and make it harder to get to internal machinery. Seuthe units weigh much less and have ample output.
