      Yeah, i knew a girl who stormed off from her boyfriend after a fight in a bar. She was walking home under a bridge overpass that was in kind of an industrial area, so poorly lit, no sidewalk when she was hit by a car and killed. Her boyfriend was never the same. He had issues with getting close to anyone. This was in the 90’s, in Portland. I hope he has healed and has a good life now.
      Her best friend was my roommate. And the next day was her (my roommate’s) birthday. She had planned to spend the evening celebrating with her but the girl wouldn’t answer the phone or return her messages. My roommate (who was clinically diagnosed bipolar disorder) tearfully left another message, upset her friend was “ignoring” her, saying in part, “You better be dead!” As her excuse for not calling her back. Then the boyfriend (who lived with the girl) called back later to say that she was, indeed, dead.
      Sorry I went off on a tangent there. But… you can bet my roommate really felt a lot of guilt. It was a terrible time. Actually, things were never the same. Soon we were no longer roommates as her moods were so bad she started starving her pet rabbit. My other roommate and I would sneak the rabbit food when she wasn’t around. Third roommate and I are still the best of friends.
      Don’t storm off in the middle of the night. Don’t put yourself in potentially dangerous situations like that. The girl in Bend… that was so shocking as the C.O.C.C. Campus was always thought of as very safe. Danger is everywhere, both accidental and malicious.

      Yes & especially when she knew he was armed with her gun & was aware of his state of mind. If she'd stayed silent there's no telling how many more he might have hurt or killed, if he'd continued running. He lied to his wife about how he had killed her, it was NO accident. Instead of thinking about his actions he made the stupid decision to murder her, he chose that. I mean, if he'd just let her back out of the car, sent her on her way, she may not have even remembered her short talk with him (where he claimed that he hit on her thinking she was a hooker, but who knows if that's even true...?). And even if she did recall it, she might not have reported it, and EVEN if she'd reported it, he MIGHT have lost his job, or get put behind a desk ...but they wouldn't tell his wife why, he could've covered over that & said he quit or was fired. So he ended her innocent life to keep himself from some very MINIMAL & only POSSIBLE consequences. He condemned himself to 30 or 40 years in prison, til he dies. One of the stupidest, most senseless murders ever.......unless.......
      ...unless he IS & was without empathy & a real conscience, just a cold blooded cruel psychopath with sick desires who was just embarking on a long contemplated & desired killing career....
      Which I think is the case. Look how quickly he decided he'd terrorize & traumatize 2 more innocent people's lives, to use them for his own wants, even shooting 1 guy in the gut (& he was just fortunate to not also murder that poor guy...he could've aimed for his toes at least, not the gut..... jeeez) and just to get another car he could drive for a day or 2 maybe. He is where society needs him to be now.

By doing that she did nothing but increase her chances of dying. In that situation you have to think to yourself, would I rather get assaulted and buy time? Or potentially get life-ended quicker? She was short sighted, we know this is standard from so many other cases where girls seduce guys to get away. She got insanely lucky IMO. Other people based on how they were raised, feel deep shame even when they didn’t do anything to deserve it. The thought of someone thinking they had sex or was molested or did something that brought this upon themselves caused silence. Many people who are raped, never speak of it or outwardly deny it because of these components.

      @annmariebarratt4213 9 месяцев назад +7

      I think we all have different personalities! Not meaning we all have MPD.
      But we react different in different situations.
      But you know, that little voice in the back of your head telling you;
      ‘No, this does not feel right, or don’t do that’
      But we usually ignore them.
      And also, most of us are different at work than we are at home, some people are different with friends than with family. Like telling friend’s things that you would not tell family.
      At work we usually are professionals, don’t stress, talk/listen to our colleagues, don’t have others ‘walk over us’.
      Things you might do differently at home or with your partner or children.
      I don’t think that someone is always the same in every situation.
      And I also believe that part of him, was not sorry for what he did, he was sorry that he got caught!
      And then put a ‘show’ of how ‘sorry’ he was.
      And no, I’m not a psychologist, I am a nurse and have been for the last 34 years. And have seen many a personalities through the years.
      How many times I’ve seen a patient act completely different when family came to visit, acted then different when friends or one of the nurses where there……….It’s pretty interesting to be honest.
      I know I’m not the same or react the same in every situation!
      Is that just me???? I don’t know.

    For a suspect to display pride and remorse while trying to spin a defence, indicates to me that this guy is a psychopath or sociopath because he does NOT know or understand what emotion you should feel when brutally murdering a stranger, if it’s an “accident”. I suspect his crime made his satisfied (I don’t know what someone with this personality type might feel/ not feel) and trilled, hence the pride being displayed to others. Anyways, I hope his wife pushes for a mental assessment to help with her process what she was married to, and or, provide insight on red flags that need she needs to be aware of regarding future relationships. May Kaylee rest in perfect peace.🕊️

    💔 I feel a very deep sadness for Kaylee's family, friends and loved ones. When Kaylee's grandfather spoke it was hard to listen to. But I listened to each and every word recalling the family legacy and my chest tightened even more. You can see in his face & eyes just how much he loves her. And remember all the spouses involved as well. This story was heartbreaking.

    Am I the only one who finds it disturbing that the rescued hostage has to step out of the car like a criminal to assure her safety? Would the police really gun her down for fleeing the car in tears trying to get to her rescuers? My mind can not comprehend this.

      I forget the case where one was was taken hostage and later helped her hostage taker get more victims. Something in her made him click with her and he saw her as a woman it would be easier for other women to trust her. She actually remained in a car when he dragged one victim off into the woods and had his way with her and killed her. She could have easily drove off too. When police get cases like this and are unsure of why the woman is still alive or why the man speaks highly of her (that she is good) and the one that comes to no harm. hmmmm I can see why the police would not trust right off the bat till questioned later or even searched to be sure she has not weapons to gun them down and free him etc...I view it as safetly measures. Once they are sure everyone is safe then they I am sure will treat her more like a victim.

    The nerve of this guy asking for special request as he turn himself in. He didn't seem to care about Kaylee's health condition and her well being when he end her life. The conversation he had with the 911 operator was odd, as if he was having a normal conversation with a friend. I like how the 911 operator handle the situation with Edwin and made Aundrea feel safe ..

    THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH ME. THIS MAN IS SO EVIL AND I DO NOT SEE ANY REMORSE FOR HIM. WHAT THEY DIDN'T CHARGE HIM WITH IS RAPPING THIS YOUNG WOMAN. WHEN HE THOUGHT SHE WAS DEAD HE THEN RAPED HER, BUT WHEN SHE CAME TO AND REALIZED THAT HE WAS RAPPING HER THEN HE TOOK A ROCK AND BEGAN HITTING HER IN THE HEAD UNTIL SHE WAS DEAD. HIS FULL INTENT WAS TO RAPE HER. IT HAS BROKEN MY HEART AND THE HEART'S OF HER FAMILY AND THOSE THAT LOVED HER AS WELL AS HER BOYFRIEND. MY HEART GOES OUT TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THERE ARE SOME TIMES THAT WE MAKE THE WRONG CHOICES AND ONE OF THOSE CHOICES CAN LEAD TO OUR DEATH AND UNFORTUNATELY THIS HAS HAPPENED TO SO MANY WOMEN THAT LEAVE A BAR OR A NIGHT CLUB OR EVEN GOING FOR A WALK AT NIGHT WHETHER YOUR UPSET AT YOUR HUSBAND OR YOUR BOYFRIEND OR FOR SOME OTHER REASON. UNFORTUNATELY THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT TO WOMEN AND EVEN SOME MEN AS WELL. PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING THAT CAN CAUSE YOU TO LOSE YOUR LIFE! I PRAY THAT GOD WILL PROTECT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FROM PEOPLE THAT WILL KILL YOU FOR NO REASON AND SOME OTHERS THAT WANT SOMETHING FROM YOU. SO BE VERY VERY CAREFUL AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
