    So funny, we call these Bobby pins in the USA. And I use one to strip my females. 😂
    I bought some tumblers that have an air stone on the top and a sponge filter on the bottom. It’s nice because I strip into a brooding box, then just dump into the tumbler. The water flows though the bottom due to the filter

      Hi there
      I want to start breeding cichlids to sell
      I don't have a high budget so I want to start of with 3 females and 1 male
      Will this be fine and do they have to be the same species

    How long did you keep the fry in the hang on boxes before they all went into the 33?

    My peacock and African cichlid had babies and i saved 5-10 from the filter. They're in a water bottle floating in the tank. How can i save them and keep them?

      You can either put them in a smaller tank or get a fry net/container from a LFS. If you don’t have a spare tank, that’s what I would advise👍🏻 good luck!

    You don't need a bobby pinn to do it just catch sake in a bowl in water and the babies will come out

      Yeah I’ve seen the shaking method. I just prefer this way. Personal preference I guess👍🏻

    what kinda food do you feed them?

      @cichlidscape  9 месяцев назад

      You can use fry food or simply crushed up cichlid flakes. They will eat those too👍🏻 they also like algae wafers I’ve found. Gives them a food source for a little longer you know👍🏻

      Always a good day saving fish jay👍🏻 I’m glad i caught them when I did as the bigger fish in the tank would have snacked on them once the mother released them. Thanks for watching!
