just a slight suggestion for a budget attack speed pillar. can consider 3 socket. with 3 attack speed it would be 15% as compare to the 17% or 18% which is not too far off I guess
I have actually swapped from three dragons to the 3 % attributes helmet (focused mostly on int and str) and dropped sharged staff, the power to frenzy charge mechanic as a whole. And swapped HoI to HoT. I have tried using primarily flurry but still prefer storm wave for aoe clear which with HoT is really not much worse than HoI. With the free spirit i use grim feast, HoT, and wind dancer on my storm wave Pillar. And i use Cast on shock eye of winter + wind dancer on my single target tempest flurry pillar. This allows me to spam bell while also constantly churning out eye of winters to double my crit chance (to 40%) and proc both bells with chain support. If not using crit use ball lightning.
@thibaultlagrange9914 no not at all, i dont run MoM atm though. I will say very early on into the build i had wicked mana issues. However i found out that was entirely a bug with my character not calculating what my total mana from int should be. After relogging the game fixed itself and i have never had mana issues since. I also dont use a low level tempest flurry i use a lvl 19.
I also started trying to build around tempest flurry since 1-button clearing felt good. In my pursuit of 1-button clear, I eventually just turned my gemling into a mana stacking stormweaver. It seems like the best gemling build. I even sold my HoWA.
Using Elemental Invocation with a corrupted low level Eye of Winter and Invocated Efficiency generates more mana than it uses while quickly destroying bells.
Hello! now that POB is available do you plan on updating this build with a POB? id love to see what resistances you have and where they are coming from. Thank you :)
I am trying my best to try and get some more PoBs done but my schedule is quite busy, I am hoping to at least have one donw for the tempest flurry setup though and ill have it linked in the written guide within maybe a day or so.
Hi Allie! I've been following your video's about this build and I'm loving them! I have one question tho, what about Chaos Res? Seems to me that there is no room for any Chaos res. Would love to know your thoughts!
You can get some on your boots and if you really really want some more, you can eventually get some on one ring sacing 1 suffix slot. You can also try to fit in some chaos soul cores. Chaos damage really isint that scary in poe2 esp post nerf and even just 30-40% is more than enough to never make it a problem. Ive played this build with 0% before I tried to play CI and im now at -30% and I honestly cant even tell. Realistically the only scary chaos damage currently is the plant rare affix for ggg did make it more visible.
I was running your old build and it worked fine, now I switched to the endgame build and charged staff is no longer working properly. it keeps charges, but charged staff blasts does not come out when using tempest flurry. I do not have all the endgame unique jewels, working on that... any way you can help me fix this? (combat frenzy is active, i have resonance in passive skills and volcanic skin anointed on amulet.
Hi, sorry for the late reply, someone else int whtch chat was having this issue before and it seemed like their problem was that they used Execrate instead of Execute which completly bricks the skill. Outside of that, as long as you are getting charges like normal and are pressing the skill to gain the buff it should just work like normal.
just as a footnote, this play horribly on controller. you need to now steer with the right thumb stick. the auto targeting controller does when you only move with left stick will cause you to walk into arbitrary walls since a mob is nearby
Oh thats a great point, I never considered how awful it must be on Controller due to how dumb targeting is in this game. I didn't know auto targeting was that bad on controllers. Luckily, you can still stick with Storm Wave for clearing and still benefit from the extreme single target increase that all of this attack speed will give you for bosses.
@@Allieenot sure how using both sticks is that much of a handicap unless you only have 1 thumb. 😅 As far as I know it works the same as Ice strike and I’ve tried tempest f as well, controller pc gamer here
@@Jason-fy4slit sucks ass, you have to use your right thumb which should be being used to press other buttons. Js it is 100% a handicap and feels like shit
Yo I been steering with the right stick since day one? This looks like it pilots super easy tbh. I been playing gas arrow on console with great enjoyment and this might be my next build on controller after seeing this. The thing is that you need your main skill on RT/RB and your least used skills on B/X/Y so your thumb is free.
I wonder if it would be worth it to corrupt tempest furry to have -1 level, since it would lower the mana cost? Any thoughts? thanks for the ongoing build guide, literally my favorite build guide on PoE 2 so far, you explain things very well and the multiple updates and tradelinks really make it borderline braindead to follow, explendid work really! Cheers!
Oh that is a cute idea althought it would be a massive pain in the ass to 6 link them and then corrupt for the -1. It would allow us to get even more dex without having mana issues. Ill keep this in mind for the extreme lategame.
No as with three dragons only our light damage contributes to freezing while cold damage contributes to igniting. Its better to focus on higher attribute rolls instead as a big int roll for example is the same as a big added light roll
The speed simply comes from all of the attack speed as Flurry does a small step forward every time you attack with it thus more attack speed, the more movement speed you get.
Hi Allie can I get help with how to manage defensively against pinnacle bosses in single target since there isn't that life/mana on kill help? Im lvl 89 with stats of 258/374/491, res is 80/76/78/0 and I just swapped to tempest flurry, with 30% of damage taken from mana, I was trying d4 xesht and I basically got 3 shot due to finding it tricky to dodge and I tried to immediately go ham on xesht but he didn't freeze
Thats the issue with poe 2 currently... you sadly cant. Running Wind Dancer + Ghost Dance along with as many budget MoM jewels as you can to get to ~50% MoM is about all you can do outside of dodging. The game has a serious problem right now where you have no way to sustain on Pinnacles and most abilities hurt so much you have to just dodge them all. 50% MoM with ~3k life or so gives you ~5k total life which is pretty high compared to most other builds. Difficulty 4 bosses are genuenly somewhat difficult unless you have a build that kills them in 1 cc. This build can do that ay ~550-600 int + ~400 dex or so esp if you swapped over to the 3 dragons tech that we came up with a few days ago.
@@Alliee Is there a "bossing setup" you could put in your guide? Perhaps like, for pinnacle bosses where grim feast/heralds aren't really proccing due to single target, what to put in place and the links? Thank you!
No and I recommend not running Black Sun Crest as it is just weaker. In today's update video we discuss the topic and discuss how to make three dragons better
Thx for the reply. Just saw your latest video. Really an eye opening path. Will you suggest to go try back this black sun if the intelligent stats reaches say 800? Just curious
We had no way to include it into the build with Three Dragons until now. In a hour or 2 I will be releasing an update video for this build that not only includes it but... makes this even stronger than before
Ive just been doing quite a few different strats. I bought the jewel with the money i had left from gas arrow. Most of my money so far has been from the ultimatum video I did and im now farming sanctum which I should have a video out on soon. Breach with ~100% rarity and a distilled emotion on the map to add permanent deli fog is one of the more popular high end strats right now.
In my case I went from Ice strike build(Pre HOWA) which is very cheap since you only need the staff and focus on str and res. then got the cheapest morior with element resist. Once I got the money for HOWA I then transitioned to Storm Wave(This was before this vid was posted) I noticed Flurry was also great on clearing so I was testing it around then allie posted this vid followed by the next one which is what I was envisioning it. These all happened on my journey from T1 map to T15. The prior builds should sustain you comfortably until you get to the next stage of the build
id love to go this build but isnt all attribute stacking going to get nefed? along with herald damage. im scared of swaping to different things rn cause ik a nerf is coming soon
No, people are fearmongering nothing and have no idea what they are talking about. Theres a lot of reasons why this build is fine and likely not to be nerfed at all outside of Bell. Heralds are likely to be nerfed but wount make a difference really as we can use wave to clear for longer before eventually making heralds so good it wount matter. Id recommend waiting a few days until the patch notes if you are scared though.
Hey Allie, in relation to the Howa normal gemling build. I’m not at the budget for the tempest evolution yet ;) I’ve got the howa gloves & the staff and about 6 div left, On a budget is it better to start with rarity & elemental resist per core on the chest peice so that I can get the resists maxed easy as it seems to max resists with spirit per core looks more expensive. The planner says to go for resist per core but the chest peice in the planner shows spirit per core.. please help ;)
Ignore the one in the planner as i cannot change the stats on it and is just there purely as a showcase. You want res on it no matter what as you need help with res the further you push. Spirit is cute as it will allow you to not need a spirit 3 dragons until much later and it allows you to run an extra aura between wind dancer/ghost dance/grim feast. % Max Life/Global Def are also good options as a 2nd stat along res and rarity is also a fine choice although more expensive.
Its a dumb bug that happens to every build/its the game trying to pick up an item off the floor/you are clicking on chests. Its really irritating and there is no real fix to it and it plagues... all builds. Id recommend putting it on right click if you have it on left and that should mitigate it most of the time.
We will be discussing the CI swap in a few days, there are much more important updates to go over first and the CI swap costs ~40-50 div at a minimum to do. Due to this ive chosen to leave it towards the end as there are much better things for most people to do with that money.
Where can i buy two attack speed pillar? Every item is one attack speed two empty socket on it , si i think i cant put socket in, why thy corrupt it before socket?
@@Alliee ye its working this way thanks, what is the best upgrade for 30 div? I got all jewels expect the really expensive ones, the chest , and gloves to !! Two not bad ring and belt to, my neck and boots decent to
Dear Allie, Question here which i can't figure out. Got soo confused. First time poe player. I have followed a few guide. After dying 50+ times. I decided to follow yours. How can a monk get the passive tree/ascendency of a mercenary that is what i am seeing in the written build guide. I am really confused.
We are playing a Merc and each class has their own ascendancy trees. With Merc, they have Witchhunter and Gemling and we are playing the gemling ascendancy. As a Monk you only have Invoker and Chayula and would need to make a Merc to get access to Gemling. We all share the same passive tree but ascendancies are class specific.
Running a low level tempest flurry + charged staff will take care of a lot of it. Ive ended up putting inspiration on Tempest Bell now with today's update video and that allows me to have 0 mana problems on a desperate alliance sanctum boss which is the tankiest mob in the game. Make sure you have a lvl 5 flurry and add an inspiration it and that alone should solve it. If not, the more int you get the bigger your mana pool gets which then makes your regen stronger. You can try to get 1-2 mana regen jewels on top of that and that will 100% fix it if you still have issues.
Yep, the mana problems become insane even if you go to 6-7 due to how fast we attack. I made the mistake of leveling my 6 link to 7 and now have to run inspiration
I have not been having mana problems with my Tempest Flurry at level 19 following the exact guide, I am going to upgrade to 20 tonight. I did incorporate pretty much everything you have. I need to check my APS and stats... thank you for everything!
I am just so darn squishy man. I keep getting one shot by trial / sekhemas/ breach bosses. I have crap for ES and armor. I literally dont know how to surive end game content. I need some survivability...any ideas? Max res, around 400 str / dex, 500 int. I kill super fast but have no survivability
Armour isint a defensive layer in the game right now due to how useless it is sadly. This build uses the ES as a first line of defence to stop chip damage in maps along with Grim Feast. I storngly recommend to pick up some of the budget MoM jewels discussed in the jewel video / in the written guide as those will make a pretty large difference on their own. Im not sure why you would be having too many issues with sek bosses as they dont really do any damage outside of the honor damage they do which can be mitigated with honor res. As for the Trial bosses, they are pretty heavily dependant on the mods you pick with deadly bosses/extra as chaos making them extremely dangerous to deal with. Their abilities are deadly and you do need to dodge them if you cant just instantly freeze and kill them. As for the breach boss, it is a pinnacle fight and the pinnacle fights are designed with you doing the mechanics correctly. You can facetank some of them but not all of it without good endgame gear. With that said, Thaum Infusion + MoM jewels should pretty greatly help on their own as for example getting to 50% damage taken as mana doubles your total ehp given your mana will run out as you die basically. Id also recommend swapping out grim feast for wind dancer + ghost dance if you do plan to do bosses.
I have my buffs hidden so you cant see them when they are on as i hate the look of it, still using ice and with today's update, weve added in thunder too.
We already freeze bosses as soon as the bell goes down. Freezing mark in my opinion is more of a useless skill but, you can run both conductivity and mark at the same time as mark limit is seperate from the curse limit.
What's the breaking point for Ingenuity Belt? For instance, is it worth to spend a few divine on a 35% or wait until you have at least 10D for a 50%? Obviously more is better, just seeing what makes sense for those that aren't swimming in currency yet.
Just skip belt atm and buy later one with 74 at least. Btw it’s not ur number one priority item and better to grab unique armour with attr and all res firstly
This is not true, any ingenunity is substantually better than a mirior especially in terms of div/attribute. Idk where you got this magical 74% number from as well. Ingenuity is definetly the #1 prio in the midgame.
Any Ingenunity is an upgrade, id recommend to try and get maybe 2-3 extra div above the price of the cheapest one as you will gain a pretty substantual gain on the % for very little extra. I simply had 8 div and just set the max to 8 and bought the highest % one i could find when I bought mine a few days ago.
I have howa and the chest piece and am blasting in maps with full res, but didn't spend much on equipment yet. How do I get more money to expand the equipment? Running breach is kind of bad, all the prices are depressed
Unfort most strats suck. The best option right now for mapping is to get to ~100 rarity and to kill as many rares as possible. This is why breach is so popular as it just spews rares at you to magic find along with a decent chunk of splinters. Putting deli on every map with distilled emotions is also great as sim splinters are worth 1 ex each. Ritual is ok if you can get a carry for the first 2 sets of 2 points to pick up the node that gives you more audience with the king to show up. I personally liked ultimatum as a decent early farming strat and im having a good time with sanctum which I hope to talk about on youtube soon.
@Alliee thanks for the reply. I was kind of afraid that was going to be the answer. I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and save up for rarity gear to then save up to get rarity on the chest piece. I guess it is what it is. Thanks!
We will be discussing the CI swap soon, it is an extremely expensive setup that is not worth doing for most people. It is one of the final upgrades youd want to make and we are discussing everything in the order you would want to make said upgrades in. I swapped to CI to test it early and found out its awful but choose to just stick with it as it was just as good as being life based for now even if I wasted 40 div doing so.
I am playing a high-end verison of it with CI and im inside sanctum wher eim using % def relics. This will be discussed in futher detail soon but its extremely expensive and bad to do with no gear while there are more important topics to go over first before talking about CI.
@@Alliee I was wondering about that too. I am new to the game and just respec'd my Gemling to this build but I am basically a glass cannon. CI would be great because I find I am mostly dying to Chaos but with the gear I have no way to get to 6K ES. I have a pathetic 800ES and 1800 life, which means I die tripping over a log
Hey, love the build and your quality content! Got a q: is there any (easy) way to add Black Sun Crest? Got a drop with 15/14/15, but just replacing The Threes Dragons breaks the build, basically freezing stops happening. Edit: also, as a cheap alternative, 3 socketed staff with 3x5% attack speed souls can be a good starter.
Not until the super lategame but... with tomorrow's update ive found a way to make three dragons give us 70% more damage and completly outclass black sun crest. Im going to talk about it on my stream today and have the video out on it tomorrow.
@Alliee That sounds awesome. I replaced my three dragons with an ES helm with stats and missing resistances, mainly so I could get both herald of ice and thunder AND so I could shock for more damage. My only issue is that, while it does work some of the time, my herald of ice explosions are super inconsistent and I miss the consistency of the three dragons. If you have a way to increase damage with three dragons, I will definitely switch back. Ty for the build guides.
It is increased not more. % increased damage is good.. for other builds as ours has way too much of it in the first place. All % increased gets bundled together in the same damage calculation step and we already have ~800% of it from just Pillar alone making another 50% not that amazing, esp for 3 passive points. If we were a build with only 200-300% increased in our build, then the 50% would actually be very impactful but when we will easily push 1k%+, its nothing
@@Alliee awesome, true, depend on how many STR you have i guess? I have only 250 and 350 dex. Thats why im looking forward for the POB to get released :D. Thanks for your help.
Great vid allie , but can you talk about how to switch to energy sheild instead of hp You have day 4 and day 6 update And no explanation for the energy shield thank you in advance 🙏🏼👍🏼
The CI swap is extremely expensive and I am going to talk about it in a few days once we go over some more important updates. Until then, just pretend I am playing "blue life." I discussed it a bit in the Day 6 update as something I wanted to test to see if we could swap sooner and just decided to stick with it and not swap back. Its not better than Life until 100+ div put into the build due to how many attributes it needs.
Been following your progression on this build and I thought you covered it but don’t see it in the guide. What level can you improve skills etc to before they become to costly. I thought you said L5 for tempest flurry.
@ thank you very much appreciate the work. I made several characters experimenting and settled on this one. Almost done with the campaign so good to have your guides.
I have an abandoned gemling legionnaire lvl 60 in Act 6, and a budget of 10 divs (can farm more fast). I already have HoWA. There are like 3 guides, should I start with the levelling guide?
Id follow the leveling guide for skills as even with HoWA its the best way to level. You can directly swap to the HoWA tree at ~70 and just play following the HoWA written guide completly skipping the pre-HoWA one.
You would want to path to Subterguge Mask and get a high ES helmet and drop Radiant Grief along with picking up Spectral Ward. You then would run ghost dance along wind dancer and find an evasion/es hybrid chest. You would also want a new pair of boots that are similar to the chest. I dont see the es/evasion setup working without dropping radiant as its very very hard to make it work with just your chest and boots for stats. You can also add in a lot of % es jewels as they would greatly help with the low es issue. Thats at least my first thought on how youd set it up. I dont know if its worth it to do it in this setup given we lose radiant grief but, its up to you if you wish to try it.
I was curious yesterday how much of a mana issue I would have with tempest flurry at level 18 compared to 5 for the howa wave storm setup and it increased dps a good bit and I'm still not having much mana issues. I'm guessing if my attack speed was a bigger maybe where that issue comes into play. But I was doing a good amount of damage to single Target sekehma and Chaos bosses, beat them both twice last night. I did learn from this video I can avoid the lightning spin but posting in a corner, that will be super helpful!
I think its more of an issue that im MoM which halves my mana rgeen and only have 2.6k mana in total. I can see it being a lot easier to deal with a high level one on a non MoM setup but im still a fan of keeping it low as in the life version of the build you will take constant mana damage which might make a high level one not feel the greatest on bosses. It seems like it works for you though which is good to see and argues against my intuition. I can try to play around with it a bit more.
It is from grim feast + ci which is a super lategame swap in the build. I will be discussing it in a few days but for now there ar emore important topics to discuss such as today's that take precidence. Basically, its best to just pretend im playing a life build with a blue mtx as without a high budget, CI and es do not feel good/better than life. I recommend getting some MoM jewels as mentioned in yesterday's video as those alone will pretty massively imapct your survability.
Thanks Allie! Great vid as always. The effort in these videos are tremendous. Is the written guide updated to this already? Especially the passive tree? You mentioned Falcon Dive but it was not yet on that one. Hope you can update it soon as I am not too sure which one to remove.
@@Alliee Thanks did not see that one. Question regarding Pillar, is it worth it to change to the aspd one from a 12%? Can I rely on the damage showing on the skill gem?
Yes its 100% worth it. Tooltip dps is a pretty big meme and doesnt consider a lot of things it should a lot of the time sadly. An AS pillar is a very large upgrade esp due to the movement speed it gives you through flurry.
you do not say anything about swap to CI - can u explain when to do that, wat do u need on gear? On mobalytics i see u have only 100-150 es on gear :/ ?
As mentioned in yesterdays update video, its a very lategame swap I tried to see if we could make work at a low budget but we cant. It will be discussed in a few days after we go through some more important updates such as todays. It requires an extreme amount of gear to make it better than playing life and for now im basically playing hp with a blue mtx on it.
The frist metamorphosis was transitioning from a red to a red/blue life pool. The previous step next step was transitioning from a red/blue lifepool to a light blue lifepool. Can you gents and kitties guess the last and final step on our journey to shed the last vestiges of our weak flesh and become power it self instead of mearly drawing upon it?
Assuming they are doing the same trick i am. There is a historc jewel (there is 3 types so be careful). One of the types turns your str to hp scaling to str to % es scaling. With my current build thats 550% es before any es nodes on tree. I then currently use an everlasting gaze to turn my mana (im nearing 4k due to equips and int scaling) into es, which then gets scaled by % es. Atm im sitting at around 7200 es.
I am doing exactly this execpt no everlasting, I swapped to it early to see if it woudve been a viable midgame upgrade but it ended up being way too expensive and a waste of money to be worth including. Im just sticking with it vs just going back to life and ill be discussing it in full in afew days after we go over some more improtant topics.
@@Alliee yeah i was tossing around the idea of life vs ES aswell. chaos damage isnt the super killer it once was so immunity to it, although good isnt game breaking. you also need several nodes on tree for stun resistance and freeze resist so its "notable hungry". The change in pendant however is quite painful even counting for being able to annoint the spahgettification noteable (7% all attributes) i lost easily 20% of my damage. However the terrifying part about the damage loss is... i dont really need it. and since i have more es than i did life (and way more with grim feast) i just decided to not think too hard about it.
Hi, good explanations, but would be great to see a mobalytics link so I could see all stats and passives whilst building.. EDIT - ahhh, written guide is it, gotya, icon looked like another yt link. thanks!
Why does the moba build guide looks so different and hard to follow with no jewels inserted into the passive tree, and you have to watch other video to understand jewels which is yet another build? I am so confused. There are like 4 different of same build in the build overview
You... cant add jewels into the passive tree on moba or I would. Im not sure what you are confused about with the jewels as they are all described in the written guide and what they do. The video does the same thing and the order in which you buy them is up to you based on what you are looking to upgrade about the build, there are quite a few ways to go about it. The jewels that have specific slots are talked about where they go and everything else can be put wherever you want.
@@Alliee Sorry if the comment came out rude, My english is not that good so long form text is sometimes a struggle. Maxroll do offer jewels u can slot with exact gear u wear, maybe a guide there?
I am not interested in working with Maxroll currently sadly. Id only create content on Maxroll if they came and discussed it with me. Id rather stick with Moba and today we will have PoB be updated which we will be shifting over to which will solve all of these issues.
i felt my build came alive with enough power to do everything after the ingenuity, i swapped to a attri / rarity chest, that is also cheaper. i was wondering why your mana pool is so low, are you still stacking str?

As a new player, looking at this I wonder why I even bother playing while doing my own thing. It falls woefully short of anything like this. Not to mention, in my infinite wisdom, I decided to go SSF... There really is no chance of me seeing any of the event end bosses, or getting all ascendencies. Now I know why people said this game isn't for the casual audience. Which is a shame, I think it's pretty good.
This is honestly the blessing and curse of having so many creative content creators for a game. I am in the same boat as you. Constantly finding myself measuring my builds against these monsters. I think its up to us though to slow down and enjoy our game for what it is and not always think about what it can be and that its only good if we’re destroying t18’s blah blah. I’ve always found that just ruins POE for me.
You doing your own thing. The fuck you get dismotivated by others builds. You Solo Self Found, play at your own pace. You shouldn't care at all if you only can get to endgame in x amount of time or whatever
It’s funny because I guarantee you’re having more fun than any person playing these builds. I didn’t follow a specific guide but my build became arguably more effective as this after getting a game changing drop recently and my enjoyment of the game is rapidly depleting. One shotting and blowing up entire screens feels cool at first but after the power fantasy fades you realize theres not challenge left and nothing to strive for. What am I supposed to do grind for 100’s of hours just to get an item that makes me blow up move a little bit better? Instead I made a new character and went SSF and although he’s nowhere near my original character it’s so much more rewarding. tldr: who gives af what point other people are at in a game you’re probably having more fun than them anyway
you shouldnt measure youselve against a contentcreator, they have more time to invest then most normal people and often times a community behind them that helps them fugure the tuning out. just enjoy the game, there is no need to play the game in a way that invalidates most of it^^
I got around 70 div in stash and I think I am gonna try this build , one thing I wonder is if you can have more spread on the main skill for example 2 additional proj
Unfort you cannot add extra proj to charged staff or we would, its just the 1 proj. Luckily Tempest Flurry is reaaaly good at auto targeting mobs meaning you just need to be going in the general direction of a pack and it will auto strike them, the wave from charged staff will always go directly straight.
We will be discussing the CI swap in a few days, there are much more important updates to go over first and the CI swap costs ~40-50 div at a minimum to do. Due to this ive chosen to leave it towards the end as there are much better things for most people to do with that money.

@Alliee I have swapped into a bit of crit in the jewels and swapped out the helmet it better fix reses. Now I use the double herald tech. I kept all the gear in case they make it so heralds can't trigger one another
are you really playing poe until you are only staring at the red "x?" this build is amazing for breaches. you get EVERYTHING out of the breach and clearing bad layouts is super fast. juicing up breaches with more rare monsters and quant is working good for me
Lol.. when bossing that % mana on kill would do nothing. I don’t know what your attack speed is but your mana will burn faster than ever when bossing. If not, your attack speed is probably less than 5 per seconds.
@@ThienNguyen-wh1fz my flurry is at 0.06 attack time, something like 14-15 attacks per second. And I do swap on a Cast on Shock / Eye of Winter gem for bossing, but still don't run out of mana on them. Prob cause they mostly go down in under 15 seconds... haven't been pushing pinnacle bosses very hard tho, only been doing the breachstone one (all but +4 so far) which is pretty easy. Could see it being more of an issue on some of the harder +4 bosses and such, but even then why not using a higher lvl tempest flurry and then just swap to a lower level on when doing a hard pinnacle boss instead of always using a low lvl one for when those scenarios come up (gotta be less then .1% of playtime unless spam buying/running them)?
@@warrensmith481I went from high level to low level tempest flurry and found almost no difference in damage really. However it saved my mana a lot. I assume since you kill the boss pretty quick you don’t have any mana issue. Either that or something in your skill tree/items that is mana related.
@@Alliee no i mean u use 3x bell in total. 2x bell on skill slot one with overabundance one without they are not on the same cd and unleash the real power on boss fights with other supp gems on the other bell
Oh right yeah, while we could and I did try it out for a bit while leveling, its a case of it makes the build extremely annoying to play which goes against how I put together builds. I want peole to have a balanced a fun time and im against extra buttons and complexity esp when we do more than enough damage as it is.
Yes but it would be a lot slower as Monk dosn't have Enhanced Effectiveness like Gemling does. It will feel the same but you will be slower as you cant reach 12-13 APS.
Low and people are fearmongering nothing and are speculating nothing. I dont want to write a 40 page essay on it but the tldr is that this build sucks in comparison to almost every other good build right now until ~30-40 div. Post 30-40 div it starts to pull ahead but the point is, this build needs investment to be good. GGG likes that and hates builds like lightning rods or lightnign conduit which can 1 shot bosses on trash gear. Tempest Bell will be nerfed slightly but thats expected and wount matter much.
@@Alliee yee its true after i buyed the belt and two god stat ring, t17 bosses like easy mobs,i really want that 2% light dps / int node , so ...i hope they dont nerf this build to much
All respect for taking the time to make the video and mob link, but damn it is confusing as hell to follow. Make an early, midgame and endgame one so its not just a confusing muddle of all of it?
The videos are literally in chronological order that build upon eachother. The writen guide also covers everything you might need to know about the build in a simple to follow way as well. Once we are done with the build there will be a video that combines everything in one place.
Im currently doing Sanctum testing and should hopefully have a video out on it soon. Once im done with the sanctum arc i do plan to cover some other strats extensively. I havent really bothered much as its EA and im more focused on talking about fun builds while exploring that myself but yeah, over the enxt week or so youll see more money guides from me
i hit 14 Attacks per Second with this Build and let me tell you its a fucking nightmare to play. Feels like driving a Car at 200km/h with a joystick which can steer only 10 degrees to left and right. Also you die without warning because getting stuck on visual clutter...
Yes which is why ive kept telling everyone to ignore as.... well exactly that. Its too expensive to be worth swapping to, i just dont want to sell mine and im sticking with ci for now even if my setup for it isint the best.
There is a big PLEASE READ THIS section under the skills that explains how half of them arent used in the build and are used to maximize one of our ascendancy points Thaum Infusion.
The belt I bought was for 8 div. The cheapest one is currently 5 div. Dont pick a random 15-40 div one and use it as the absolute price of it when I said in the video "The cheapest one possible works and is worth using"
Oh ive known about this since day 2. I pretty much understand every step of the build and im just making my build guides on it now going step by step so people know exactly what to do rather than the uninformative guides most cc's have.
I think its fine showcase, but i have seen build cheaper, delete these bosses, and they are builds that prolly wont even get hit in the next patch (unlike the stackers, that are most likely to get hit)
No its not t1. Can easily clear T15 maps and early pinnacle bosses with low budget of this build. But in this build's case its not really that low as the starting points is already 4 div(HOWA)
Not every build will be for everyone, what some people find boring others find fun. Everyones entitled to their own opinion and most people in poe like low button/apm builds.
just a slight suggestion for a budget attack speed pillar. can consider 3 socket. with 3 attack speed
it would be 15%
as compare to the 17% or 18% which is not too far off I guess
Oh yeah, this completly went over my head but yes, this is a great idea
there is also a flat lightning damage corrupt variant that is more dps at some point depending on how much dexterity you have
I have actually swapped from three dragons to the 3 % attributes helmet (focused mostly on int and str) and dropped sharged staff, the power to frenzy charge mechanic as a whole.
Do you have mana issue ?
@thibaultlagrange9914 no not at all, i dont run MoM atm though. I will say very early on into the build i had wicked mana issues. However i found out that was entirely a bug with my character not calculating what my total mana from int should be. After relogging the game fixed itself and i have never had mana issues since. I also dont use a low level tempest flurry i use a lvl 19.
I also started trying to build around tempest flurry since 1-button clearing felt good. In my pursuit of 1-button clear, I eventually just turned my gemling into a mana stacking stormweaver. It seems like the best gemling build. I even sold my HoWA.
can you share the build ?
Using Elemental Invocation with a corrupted low level Eye of Winter and Invocated Efficiency generates more mana than it uses while quickly destroying bells.
Hello! now that POB is available do you plan on updating this build with a POB? id love to see what resistances you have and where they are coming from. Thank you :)
I am trying my best to try and get some more PoBs done but my schedule is quite busy, I am hoping to at least have one donw for the tempest flurry setup though and ill have it linked in the written guide within maybe a day or so.
@Alliee your awesome thank you!! We actually discussed this on your stream shortly after I posted this question. Thanks a bunch 😊
Outside of that, as long as you are getting charges like normal and are pressing the skill to gain the buff it should just work like normal.
why no falcon dive in your build guide?
Falcon dive is picked up in the flurry setup, pre flurry it isint too valuable and there are better points.
Hi quick question. How does your tempest furry shoots out waves ?
The waves are from Charged Staff which we can keep up at all times due to combat frenzy + resonance
@@Alliee ty so much
what year of the amulet?
just as a footnote, this play horribly on controller. you need to now steer with the right thumb stick. the auto targeting controller does when you only move with left stick will cause you to walk into arbitrary walls since a mob is nearby
Just put your flurry are R2 and then that allows your right thumb to be free
My current setup is 260str, 300 dex, and 40 into with your post howa build. Would you wait to swap a little longer? Thanks!
Do you suggest to take any ring(s) with cold damage? Will it helps with freezing the boss?
No as with three dragons only our light damage contributes to freezing while cold damage contributes to igniting. Its better to focus on higher attribute rolls instead as a big int roll for example is the same as a big added light roll
which nodes in the tree that gives boost of movement speed?
Thank you!
Do you suggest to take any ring(s) with cold damage? Will it helps with freezing the boss? I am not using the helmet but the one with 3 x stats buff
Just curious
why dont we use herald of thunder?
We had no way to include it into the build with Three Dragons until now. In a hour or 2 I will be releasing an update video for this build that not only includes it but... makes this even stronger than before
What stats on boots should i be looking for?
Once you swap to just flurry, you just want high es/rarity with int and chaos res as we dont need ms anymore.
How did you farm enough divs to make the ES switch
I spend like 60 div on it and its not still not full, that neck is boost the stats 200? Or just 100? Its looks huge upgrade
Astramentis is an extreme power increase yeah, its 130 div for a reason because my god that thing is overpowered on this.
id love to go this build but isnt all attribute stacking going to get nefed? along with herald damage. im scared of swaping to different things rn cause ik a nerf is coming soon
I’m not at the budget for the tempest evolution yet ;) I’ve got the howa gloves & the staff and about 6 div left,
On a budget is it better to start with rarity & elemental resist per core on the chest peice so that I can get the resists maxed easy as it seems to max resists with spirit per core looks more expensive.
Hi Allie, sometimes tempest flurry stops working for a second or 2, no mana issue, just nothing came out. Any idea ? (great guide by the way !)
cuz the games trying to pick up an item
Its a dumb bug that happens to every build/its the game trying to pick up an item off the floor/you are clicking on chests. Its really irritating and there is no real fix to it and it plagues... all builds. Id recommend putting it on right click if you have it on left and that should mitigate it most of the time.
@@Alliee Yes indeed i've switch to right click and it's better now. Thx !
Allie hi. on video u have CI node, but your build on mobalytics havent this. Can u actualize build plz with CI if u use this
I’m looking at it now. It does have it
We will be discussing the CI swap in a few days, there are much more important updates to go over first and the CI swap costs ~40-50 div at a minimum to do. Due to this ive chosen to leave it towards the end as there are much better things for most people to do with that money.
Thank you Allison, great guide.
Where can i buy two attack speed pillar? Every item is one attack speed two empty socket on it , si i think i cant put socket in, why thy corrupt it before socket?
You can add soul cores to empty sockets after its corrupted you just cant add the socket themselves after the corrupt.
Is it worth getting the +mana per soul core chest in preparation for potentially leveraging MoM? Or is spirit fine
No, id stick with spirit/global def/life instead as it will do a lot more
@Alliee sounds good, is it worth allocating spaghettificagion on amulet without CI? Or is that some CI only tech
I'm struggling both on this and the pre build to sustain my mana on bosses ? Any tips
Do you still keep Tempest flurry at lvl 5?
Yep, the mana problems become insane even if you go to 6-7 due to how fast we attack. I made the mistake of leveling my 6 link to 7 and now have to run inspiration
So do we still in that gem at tempest level 5 or should we put another gem on there?
@@totaku89 well yeah she just anwsered my question :D
I have not been having mana problems with my Tempest Flurry at level 19 following the exact guide, I am going to upgrade to 20 tonight. I did incorporate pretty much everything you have. I need to check my APS and stats... thank you for everything!
@ do you Move only with tempest? Or r u actually walking ?
Id also recommend swapping out grim feast for wind dancer + ghost dance if you do plan to do bosses.
did you really drop the heralds or just using the temp bug on 2nd weapon?
I have my buffs hidden so you cant see them when they are on as i hate the look of it, still using ice and with today's update, weve added in thunder too.
Why u using hand of chayula only with conductivity? Replace one of the useless support with Freezing mark/ That will help u freeze bosses faster
We already freeze bosses as soon as the bell goes down. Freezing mark in my opinion is more of a useless skill but, you can run both conductivity and mark at the same time as mark limit is seperate from the curse limit.
how you get 3000 ES?? ty
Thanks!
how do you boost energy shield to 3k??????
We will be discussing the CI swap soon, it is an extremely expensive setup that is not worth doing for most people. It is one of the final upgrades youd want to make and we are discussing everything in the order you would want to make said upgrades in. I swapped to CI to test it early and found out its awful but choose to just stick with it as it was just as good as being life based for now even if I wasted 40 div doing so.
Allie, how do you get so much ES on your character?
I am playing a high-end verison of it with CI and im inside sanctum wher eim using % def relics. This will be discussed in futher detail soon but its extremely expensive and bad to do with no gear while there are more important topics to go over first before talking about CI.
@@Alliee I was wondering about that too. I am new to the game and just respec'd my Gemling to this build but I am basically a glass cannon. CI would be great because I find I am mostly dying to Chaos but with the gear I have no way to get to 6K ES. I have a pathetic 800ES and 1800 life, which means I die tripping over a log
great work as always
Ty for the build guides.
allie, do you think they will destroy herald of ice explosions?
Of course they will
I wouldnt be suprised if they do end up nerfing them a bit or at least the HoI + HoT interaction with all of the various ways people are causing it.
Hey Allie, why arent you using Coming Calamity node? It gives you 50% more lightning/cold damage...
Great vid allie , but can you talk about how to switch to energy sheild instead of hp
You have day 4 and day 6 update
And no explanation for the energy shield thank you in advance 🙏🏼👍🏼
The CI swap is extremely expensive and I am going to talk about it in a few days once we go over some more important updates. Until then, just pretend I am playing "blue life." I discussed it a bit in the Day 6 update as something I wanted to test to see if we could swap sooner and just decided to stick with it and not swap back. Its not better than Life until 100+ div put into the build due to how many attributes it needs.
@@hussamhh5119 from what I know it’s something to do with jewel? That will help you scale energy shield from str? I might be wrong
Hey I just swapped over to howa and have about 350 strength, 250 Dex and 250 int. Is this correct? Shld I be pumping int moving forward?
Those stats seem good yeah, keep everything as it is and just get as much int as you can for now.
Been following your progression on this build and I thought you covered it but don’t see it in the guide. What level can you improve skills etc to before they become to costly. I thought you said L5 for tempest flurry.
Everything can go to level 20/21 just fine with flurry being the only one that should be kept at level 5 once you swap over to the flurry only setup.
@ thank you very much appreciate the work. I made several characters experimenting and settled on this one. Almost done with the campaign so good to have your guides.
What is that bigass jewel at the top of the tree that changed the Passive point of Whispers of Doom? That's how you are getting so much ES right?
Timeless I would guess. Turns str from life to es?
Its Heroic Tragety which we will discuss in the CI update soon.
Yea, timeless jewel with Vorana?
can you plz do a run down on they type of jewels you run, cause i seen a crazy mix bag of jewel but dont have a ton of divines to be dropping on them.
It is all discussed in the gear section on the written guide and there is a whole video talking about them on youtube from a few days ago.
Is there any update on what you would do differently on the tree for passives on Gas Arrow to fit in the ES+Evasion?
@@Alliee That would suck b/c Radiant Grief is so nice, hmm maybe its better to not diverge. But thanks for the idea
@Alliee true true, I haven't made it there yet. Just got to level 90
Edit : your health pool is so much more than mine tho. Am I missing something?
@@Alliee well shit, another video just came out. Let's see lol
So upgraded all my gear, and One thing still eludes me. Your 3k ES. I only have like 900
how u make this as ES build, i play this with armor and hp and it just blows so squishy is not even fun
Yeah, theres a build variants section now you can use to swap the whole build guide over to the tempest flurry setup
ARe you playing the same build in the video? because Chaos inno? and how do you have 7000 shield, i got 600 energy shield. the math aint mathing.
EDIT - ahhh, written guide is it, gotya, icon looked like another yt link. thanks!
could u make a quick guide or section in written guide on whats important to swap to ci? love the build so far btw
Im going to make a video on it and discuss it in detail soon, theres just a few other topics that are more important to go over first.
I have a very very budget setup right now and only have 500 int
From where did u get 7k shield?
Im confused.
@Alliee thank you for answering me....
I've been following your build since day 1 .")
It is already such a grind not playing ssf, can’t imagine playing ssf. However I’ve seen some in high 90s doing well so props to them.
Im using this build and its extremely fun. But wait for the next patch before switching to this build because this will definitely be on the nerf list
Hi Allie, thanks for your great video, how can u get too many energy shield if you play gembling, thanks
We will be discussing the CI swap in a few days, there are much more important updates to go over first and the CI swap costs ~40-50 div at a minimum to do. Due to this ive chosen to leave it towards the end as there are much better things for most people to do with that money.
where is the big energy shield coming from?

@Alliee I have swapped into a bit of crit in the jewels and swapped out the helmet it better fix reses. Now I use the double herald tech. I kept all the gear in case they make it so heralds can't trigger one another
are you really playing poe until you are only staring at the red "x?" this build is amazing for breaches. you get EVERYTHING out of the breach and clearing bad layouts is super fast. juicing up breaches with more rare monsters and quant is working good for me
Really love ur guide`S and the build . Cant wait to a guide with CI
Been using lvl 19 temepst flurry and its been fine, just need 1 % mana on kill mod on jewel
I have as well, no mana issues here either.
Lol.. when bossing that % mana on kill would do nothing. I don’t know what your attack speed is but your mana will burn faster than ever when bossing. If not, your attack speed is probably less than 5 per seconds.
Unless you are not using proc to cast combined with eye of winter.
Why not use double bell? 😁😁
We are using double bell with overabundance and have been since day 1.
@@Alliee I think he is talking about literally putting 2 bells in the skill.
@@Alliee he is refering to having skills slotted with bell, so you can drop two at the same time, or 3 :P
Does this work on monk as well?
Yes but it would be a lot slower as Monk dosn't have Enhanced Effectiveness like Gemling does. It will feel the same but you will be slower as you cant reach 12-13 APS.
@@Alliee whats the probability of this getting nerfed tomorrow?
Low and people are fearmongering nothing and are speculating nothing. I dont want to write a 40 page essay on it but the tldr is that this build sucks in comparison to almost every other good build right now until ~30-40 div. Post 30-40 div it starts to pull ahead but the point is, this build needs investment to be good. GGG likes that and hates builds like lightning rods or lightnign conduit which can 1 shot bosses on trash gear. Tempest Bell will be nerfed slightly but thats expected and wount matter much.
@@Alliee thanks for your input, i was contemplating whether to get howa or not, but ill trust your judgement on this one. Thanks for the guide Alliee
@@Alliee yee its true after i buyed the belt and two god stat ring, t17 bosses like easy mobs,i really want that 2% light dps / int node , so ...i hope they dont nerf this build to much
btw im attacking at 13.33 attack second and im running tempest flurry level 19 and its fine
Pre-MoM it would work yes but you are also eating at your mana regen making you squishier on bosses esp with a lot of % mana jewels.
Currency farming stat when? Pls 🙏
Im currently doing Sanctum testing and should hopefully have a video out on it soon. Once im done with the sanctum arc i do plan to cover some other strats extensively. I havent really bothered much as its EA and im more focused on talking about fun builds while exploring that myself but yeah, over the enxt week or so youll see more money guides from me
Its 100+ div setup now :)
i hit 14 Attacks per Second with this Build and let me tell you its a fucking nightmare to play. Feels like driving a Car at 200km/h with a joystick which can steer only 10 degrees to left and right. Also you die without warning because getting stuck on visual clutter...
few divs that timeless jewwel now is 20-30 divs alone..... prices went up a lot on em
Yes which is why ive kept telling everyone to ignore as.... well exactly that. Its too expensive to be worth swapping to, i just dont want to sell mine and im sticking with ci for now even if my setup for it isint the best.
@@Alliee yea it is a pricey buiild to run it smooth
Why does your youtube not have donate button, you are my hero
Ive always played only looking at the overlay map😂
I have corrupted pillar with AS mod, LETS GOO
for a new player your skill setup on mobalytics its very confusing
There is a big PLEASE READ THIS section under the skills that explains how half of them arent used in the build and are used to maximize one of our ascendancy points Thaum Infusion.
You say you need 15-20 div budget then say you need a belt that costs 15-40 div alone…
The belt I bought was for 8 div. The cheapest one is currently 5 div. Dont pick a random 15-40 div one and use it as the absolute price of it when I said in the video "The cheapest one possible works and is worth using"
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT fine. Ill subscribe.
lul the gemlings are finding the tech. chayula frown :(
You could do this on the monk setups too, it will just be a bit slower as you dont have the crazy accuracy scaling gemling gets.
Soo... people are still discovering this build for the first time?
Oh ive known about this since day 2. I pretty much understand every step of the build and im just making my build guides on it now going step by step so people know exactly what to do rather than the uninformative guides most cc's have.
I did it withiut those items, imagine with them
The jungle map is cancer
😂everyone is promo this build now it’s going to get nerfed.
ngl i prefer the aoe rather than this
Gemling no longer grants double bonusses. Gemling now get another gem socket instead. This is a buff. ~ i can see the future
I liked the video, you talk way too fast and im not native, sorry! put subtitles hhahahaha
20 div??? gurl no one got time for that let's be serious
cant believe you use t1 footage for the video and say build iz good
What does t1 mean?
I think its fine showcase, but i have seen build cheaper, delete these bosses, and they are builds that prolly wont even get hit in the next patch (unlike the stackers, that are most likely to get hit)
No its not t1. Can easily clear T15 maps and early pinnacle bosses with low budget of this build. But in this build's case its not really that low as the starting points is already 4 div(HOWA)
Nair is just memeing and making fun of a comment from a past video thats all
explaining the meme makes it less funny >:(
This looks boring as hell, makes you want to go back to Diablo 4 for this kind of mindless one button game play.
Not every build will be for everyone, what some people find boring others find fun. Everyones entitled to their own opinion and most people in poe like low button/apm builds.
