You'll notice over time how much people love certain players, like Bartolo Colon, the pitcher who got his shirt untucked and was the batter whose helmet didn't quite fit and took his bat with him to 1st.
These videos aren’t worth watching if you don’t fully understand the game and players/teams. A really good YT channel is Jomboy or baseball doesn’t exist. Both have really good content, funny and you don’t even need to know about MLB.
@@ryan_lloyd I feel like older fans enjoy these ‘not so serious’ videos but they’re out of context and even hardcore fans don’t understand some of the clips.

David Ortiz, for a few years before he retired, had a hard time running so for him to lay down a bund and try to beat out a single is very strange.
That makes sense! That context definitely explains why that clip was so funny haha
13:37 mark. The guy does not like anyone to touch his head for some reason, so, many do just to get him riled up
This is great. Glad you watched this. Part two is my favorite of the “Not so Serious Baseball” series. You should watch the rest of them as well.
3 minutes, 45 seconds:
Change of the batting stance: He's mimicking other players' styles.
The hot foot is typically a prank on new players on a team or new players in the league.
Baseball is a rather long game, and there are at least 162 of them in a season. Stuff like this keeps these guys from going nuts.
The shoes on fire remind me of "your shoes are on feeeeeyaaaa, your shoes are on feeeeyaaaa" LOLOLOL
Thats why we love baseball its silly and serious at the same time.
These videos are fun. The 2nd one is the best. Also check out “Nimh explains the Unwritten Rules of Baseball.”
If it's fair over 3rd or lands fair beyond 3rd its a live ball.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve seen people mention Jomboy before!
