And “why” have I been paying lots of money for old windows??? This is amazing! Thank You for showing us how to do that !!! And now I can have the SIZE I want too! Love it...love it... and I enjoy your accent ( I am from New York State ). ❤️
Exactly!! I can never find vintage stuff like this here in Australia at all and especially not for the price I’m wanting to pay. So yeah making it is my only option too xx
I have to be honest when I saw you put the polish on I thought what on earth are you doing! True to form once again you created something magical, I must learn to breath until the end. Thanks so much for sharing Lisa I absolutely LOVE it xx
Hi Lisa, yay an Australian , I didn't realise till you measured your wood ,I heard 700 mm and realised your Australian, great video fantastic direction I recently made a fau farmhouse style window but wish I'd seen this video first, you made it look so easy and it came out beautifully, mine looks OK but it was a bit of a struggle ,im wrapped of found your channel and I have suscribed, all the best Mary ⚘
Oh Lisa.. I just 100% luv this, FAB! You know I don't think there is anything you wont try, or cant do you are totally amazing and inspirational thank you soooo VERY much for sharing this brilliant project Big Hugs xx
Oh I know!! Do you think I could find any at my local Bunnings when I needed it!! Course not! Lol. But I did pick up a small roll of chicken wire last week so may be putting it on the frame next to the window as a little diy decor project
Very 😍 pretty If I wanted to put pictures inside do I measure the size of each square and buy at a place like lowes? or place some foam board in each square and hot glue the pictures? Any suggestions? Ty 😀
I would get a thin sheet of ply to glue to the back and then maybe put atiny nails in each section and hang the photos up using a bulldog clip that way you can change the pics anytime
Lisa I love love this DIY window frame. You did a fantastic job. . But could you please tell me what the measurements are for me here in the us. I don't know centimeters. Lol
Thanks lovely, you could do it any size you like really. I will have to try work out the conversion for you but I think there is roughly 2.5cm in every inch if that helps
Being from USA, I ♥️ your accent and voice. So pretty and proper. I wish I talked like you! I feel like we sound uneducated.. of course having Trump as our president doesn’t help either!
My husband uses these plans from Woodglut and is very happy with them. However. I love yours!
Thank you from iraq 🇮🇶 for this idea ❤️
One of the easiest and most authentic looking faux frame I have come across ... great job.
Thanks so much lovely glad you liked it XX
What are your measurements? And what type of wood and dowels are you using? That would be most helpful in the description box

I love this what size wood is this is this like a 1x2? According to google 25.4mm by 50.8mm?
Yes you could make the window whatever size and shape you like really
Hi, love it. What is the size of the wood and weight?

Thanks roxy
Would you know what type of wood this is? Like a 2x4 or a 1x6
❤️❤️❤️
What size are the thin ones?
These were about 1cm x 1cm

@@LiveItLikeLisa Thank you so much♡
You mention "mil" as the measurement. Is that millimeters? I'm trying to figure out the conversion. Thanks!
Yes that is correct. But you can make these any size and shape you like just cut your pieces to suit 😊

Can you tell me stain and pain brand and color you used?
I think the stain colour was Indian tea by Carbots
What white paint did you use?
I just used regular wall paint over the stain
Would this be 36 inches long?
Oh I’ll have to convert it for you when I get home

Oh wow thank you, I always hate the sound of my own voice and feel like our accent always sounds so ‘bogan’ or hillbilly compared to your accents. Lol
Your husband doesn't like you using his power tools!? Sheesh!! 🙄 I think your window frame came out great.
Hehehe thanks so much 🤗
I just made this with some scrap wood we had. I will be putting it in the living room on the wall.
