I have now been through 'Filtering DONE RIGHT' three times ... SLOWLY , i.e. ...play ... pause ... rewind ... play ... pause ... rewind. The video is a wonderful tutorial ... really good work. A request please: prepare a Part 2 in which you walk through the steps to set up and edit the "Learn More" page. Thank you ... very much appreciated.
Loving your videos mate! They have been super helpful and I have used a bunch of your tutorials to improve our sites - Thanks! In regard to the 'Sidebar Menu' list, the user can double-click the item which takes them to the list details page. This is also the default action on mobile devices when the user clicks on the list item. Is this the case in your example and if so, do you know how to prevent this?
This is great thanks. Can you have multiple filter lists which filter the main list? For example a category like you have in your McDonalds scenario and add another filter list with Beef, Chicken and Vegetarian. Then you could select Burgers in Category filter list and then Vegetarian in filter list 2, showing fish burgers, or Chicken to get Chicken Mayo and McCrispy etc……. I have this type of scenario now and this would be perfect and I can’t see it in your course which I’m 3/4 way through and really enjoying. Thank you 👍
Hey! Dynamic filtering only supports one level of filtering unfortunately. PnP modern search would be the next option as far as I can tell in that scenario. Thanks for taking the course. that's really great!! 🙌
Thanks so much for that. That would be a fantastic feature, but as far as I am aware, dynamic filtering does not make it possible. We live in hope, though!
I’ve done this a few times on past projects, but could never get the click behavior turned off on the cards for the info panel. Thank you for such a great walk through full of gems like that!
Thanks so much. I've used this approach quite a few times and it always gets a reaction. The pattern (sidebar with icon-title, filtering a larger list) is extremely universal in application! 😉
Great video! How did you manage to place a filter on the secondary page with the chips (8:24)? Does each product have a page and views for each one? Or is there a way to make just one page that is filtered based on a parameter?
Hi! The chips page is just a regular site page, so there would be a dedicated site page per menu Item. You're spot on with the set up 👍... I set up a list called nutritional info and aligned it with each product (or at least that's what I would have done if I had the time). Then, within that list I would have had a view per product. Then, I created a seperate list of sizes (SML MED LRG) which I used to dynamic filter on the page.
I do not have admin rights to our SharePoint list so is there any other way this result can be achieved? I mean, I do not have access to advance formatting where the code was pasted.
figured out the issue, turns out you have to mention to chatGPT that you want the contents and the card all to not open external links or be set to defaultClick

Sure I'll stick it onto the list. Thanks for your comment and persevering with the video! I really appreciate the compliment!😁
I love using GPT to help me with Lists too! Thanks for your awesome content!

I cant get chatgpt to update the JSON to align the image to the left and have text to the right. Keeps not changing it. Can you post your JSON?
The same issue. Can someone please post JSON code?

One word review ... "FANTASTIC!"
Wow. Super idea. Top explained. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Thanks❤
Awesome.... I'm definetly going to try this. I see a lots of use case here like FAQ's, Policy Documents, Links, etc...😎
Me too! I have found this super handy! 😁
Great idea!🎉 Thanks for sharing your knowledge 👏
Thanks :-D
Can you please do the same for a document library 🙏
I'll give it a go!
That will be very useful
Fantastic one! Cheers mate!
Thanks Chris!
this is a mega wonderful tutorial.
Thanks so much!
You create amazing layout on the sharepoint. Impressive. Any way to multiple filter on a list.... Like burger fries and veg or non veg

Great stuff! Can you show how you built the more info page? Was it a dynamic link? Did you create a separate page for all of those?
Hey there! It was a static page but the size used a seperate list for the dynamic filtering
Very useful tips. I never fully cracked the json code, now I don’t have to 😊
Me either! 😉
I absolutely love how much customized it is and how nicely looking it is... 🤩 Sharepoint never looked so good....

For some reason im still having a hard time getting the buttons to not open a secondary page

Great tip!
