I haven't had any issues with mine. I did change the bushing and did some preventative maintenance but other then that its super accurate and very easy to modify.
I'm pretty damn happy with my GEN 2. Owen himself dealt with me personally a few times. One, to replace my broken piston rod, which after 1200 rounds no cleaning. They gave me two new ones free with a slight change in the dimensions that helped correct that issue, about another 1000 rounds and still working awesome. Second time was my fault, I attempted to do a mod and botched the job bad enough that I had to replace the barrel. Lesson learned on my behalf. But I got it back together properly.

@frankyg2384 and if you listened he said you can use an AR 15 handguard but the only thing is that the rail on the top of the receiver and the rail on the top of the handguard wouldn't be at the same height, also the WK 180C uses an AR15 type barrel so you can literally swap in any barrel you want so long as it has the correct gas journal dimensions to fit the gas block.

@frankyg2384 it's not completely different, they heightened the pic rail, added reinforcements for the bolt track and charging handle slots and added a brass deflector and dust cover, it's not completely different. Also yes the gas system would be compatible all you would have to do is get a barrel that's intended to be used with a rifle length gas system and youde be fine. So maybe get your eyes and ears checked.
So gen 2 owners gonna have to cop up for a while new rifle? Would be nice if they made some kind of adjustable gas plug or something to help with the overflow.
@nicholasreid5065 I wasted my money on one of those. Shut right off there is so much blowby that the rifle still shows to be overgassed. I ended up just building my own proper adjustable gas valve that can be shut right off and tuned for the load used.

Yes. Can't own an AR-15, but you can own something that shares like 80% of the same parts and fires the same cartridge like a wk180 or a SRV2 siberian. Can't own AK-47, but a type 81 is perfectly legal. It makes sense if you don't think about.
weirdly enough the MK3 has gone to a carbine piston while the 180C upgraded to a rifle length. also someone online pointed out that the MK3 looks super close to a Turkish made semi auto.

A Bren 2 is $3K+ so I don't think so bud, also you can crap on the rifle all you want but it doesn't make you right and we'll see when it comes out, just like people that crap on the K9 PCC which I have and it has no problems whatsoever and is a great PCC.
@epikarms. The comment on not having a brass deflector i think was pretty goofy. Yes it is an item thats going to get dents scrapes and scratches but when you easily know where its going to be very common and can cause rusting early in its lifetime cheap to input and not that difficult it should be expected to begin with.

The rifles that were banned a few years back we're supposed to have been turned over by now, if I'm not mistaken (but I believe compliance was very low). Obviously, they can't be taken out anymore. Since most good foreign designs were banned and bans here are by name, not by action type, Canada has had a series of small companies start making new semi auto designs to get around the bans.

Seems they didn't address the two major drawbacks of the 10-22, that being that on every model except the takedown model, if you want to clean the barrel you either have to go in from the muzzle, which is not ideal, because although it's unlikely you would damage the muzzle of your barrel with a .22 cleaning brush, it is still not a good practice, and so you are left with either running a bore snake through your barrel, which does the job, but again, isn't ideal, or you have to take the gun apart and remove the barrel for cleaning. The problem with the latter is that the 10-22 is so finicky when it comes to action-screw torque for accuracy, that it's a real pain to undo once you've found the sweet spot. So a hole in the back of the receiver would have solved this, as well as a new way to secure the barreled action to the stock. In all honesty, the design is outdated and should be upgraded with a different receiver design and a better design would be that of an AR, like the Tippmann. If the only real difference between this and my old 10-22 is a rear charging handle, I'm probably going to pass. Too bad, they had the opportunity to remake something that should have been remade about 10 years after it came out.
I want to like this rifle. But I think it’s common knowledge that the average gun owner does not trust Kodiak Defence. And to ask people with little to zero trust to pay $2k for something that we are going to have to once again be test dummies for is not ok. The gen2’s need to be lowered to $900 and not a penny more and this gen needs to be at the $1200-$1300 range. It’s just fair. I understand $2k is a “standard” cost of a semi in Canada. That’s what’s not fair. And if we are test dummies atleast give it to us at a price where we can afford to be test subjects. If they would invest their own money into proving these rifles can handle 10’s of thousands of rounds…then sure ask for the standard price. Heck they could charge more than $2k at that point and we would buy. Is there anywhere to look up to see what level they test these to before parts fail? For $100 bucks more than this proprietary whatever it is you can get a Crusader Arms Crypto that accepts 100% off the shelf proven parts that you can get anywhere and swap out on your own. There's not even a need to rely on the manufacturer for parts and/or service if that becomes necessary. So yes, $1899 is WAY too much for this firearm.
