Long ago we got a Boxer and soon rescued a kitten, the dog made us pay for that second child by leaving a leak every morning down the stairs ( it started the day the kitten got home), but the kitten became his kitten, he taught it how to dog, they’d both bark at the passers by, and steal stuff from the kitchen together. This is how my boxer scratches itches. He’ll spaz out on the carpet like he’s on fire. I think the cat has learned that boxers are good at looking scary. I wouldn’t test that theory too much though.
I don’t know what kind of sensor boxers have where they can play with their teeth like that and never apply too much pressure. My boy does that too. It looks like hes biting but you cant even feel it.
I used to have two big dogs A 95 pound Boxer Mix and a Mixed breed that looked part Boxer and part beagle the beagleish looking one was a girl 50 pounds and the big guy was a boy dog. When the dogs were full grown we introduced them to a new member of the Family a Kitten named Squeakles. Squakles we had from such a young age her eyes were still shut and we had to bottle feed her. Our dogs absolutely loved her but when Ginger our girl dog deemed Zeke to rough she would stand in front of the kitten and block our boy dog Zeke from her. Zeke was being Gentle but Ginger had a nurturing motherly instinct. Sadly Squakles ran away one night on New Years eave night to be exact. And Ginger passed away in 2012 but Zeke Is still with us! and we have a new cat since 2008 named Chester he and Zeke love each other they even sleep in Zekes doggy bed together!
