Thank you for this story on Greg and Biscuit. I listen to him every morning on my drive to work. I’m glad to know more about him especially his struggle with alcohol. I’m 11 years sober, like Pat! Way to go to all of us. 🎉 And keep going ❤
Thank you so much for this piece. It really warmed my heart. We need to hear more feel-good stories like this. We all need more encouragement and hope, because most of us are going through SOMETHING, and to see what others have gone through to get to where they are today feels like an old friend walking beside you, cheering you on.
VERY MUCH a wonderful and encouraging story. You lifted all of our spirits and very well may inspire others to follow your example. Maybe not now...today. But soon. In their time to find their way.
Alcohol abuse is a symptom, not a root cause. Too many times in this impatient American culture, we attack the symptom (or symptoms), downplay or ignore what lies underneath. Glad Greg was spared to enjoy a better life.
Congratulations! I know how difficult addiction is as a recovering heroin & coke addict. Then i was addicted to various pharmacuticals for depression/anxiety. Last time i listened to 94.7 it was KNRK around 2003. I've lived in the Portland area for my whole life and love it! Thanks for the inspiring story ❤
Always enjoy hearing Greg on the radio. The bottom forty show they do is a great way to discover new music too. Thanks for sharing this story and pets to Mr. B
Love this! Love that both men were able to share the fact that they do not want to drink alcohol anymore. That should become just as normalized as drinking alcohol.
Be comfortable with it Greg, you WON. So did it. I got nothing, already lost everything including most of my freinds . But I got up today 8 years later and im going to the gym. It took a lot of work . Sht you should have made a movie. Id have bet against myself. Now I never would. But I didn't know of id make it
Congratulations! Ny only negative comment is why wasn’t the pet cat included? Caught a glimpse of a gray cat & the tree but only Biscuit was made part of the show.
Going to an aa meeting helps too. It is almost impossible to quit all by one's self and not everyone can afford a therapist. AA is free and it works for many many ppl.
What an amazing story. Now a question for anyone who can answer it. Was that the same Mark Hamilton who I listened to daily in San Francisco in the 1990's? If so, he certainly helped to make that station (Live105) what it was until corporate interests touched it inappropriately.
Quit listening to radio a while ago but however I've probably heard this guy. Now I know biscuit was a dog 🙂. I stopped drinking 8 plus years ago. Never drinking again . I almost died from liver failure. O had no support. People did sht on me tho. I did it , you can do it . This city absolutely encourages alcoholism and pushes alcohol
Because some of us can enjoy ONE beer! Others cannot due to what is adictive in their mind or physical, biological system! I've had every chance to become an alcoholic...it just isn't in my system makeup, chemistry! I even worked in a bar!
Congratulations!
What a beautiful and powerful story!
12 years ago I quit drinking and it was the best decision I’ve ever made
We need more amazing stories like this !
I agree! I enjoyed learning about Greg & Biscuit 🤗
Love this dude, listened to him every morning for years
Absolutely wonderful, inspiring story. Thank you so MUCH for sharing this!!
I worked at a job for years where we listened to Greg in the mornings. A fantastic DJ and I'm glad he's living his best life.

Don't ever go back Glover, there is nothing there for you, always forward!... super good job, you will flourish, even during the hard times.
I remember Biscuit! I used to listen to them during my commute before I quit my job in 2015. Good for you, Greg! We're proud of you!

Congratulations Greg. I’ve listened to you since high school. Not a morning show without you.
I love The Replacements! Best wishes to Greg Glover.

Wow what a story. Well done
Bravo for you Glover. 🎉
Love this.
One day at a time! Change yourself and your world will change. My DWI saved my life. We celebrated 6 years Recovery in October. Grateful 🙏
My fiancee has had to quit! He tried drinking a bit...it just doesn't work! God bless great roll models! Great story that needs to be shared!
What a great story
Amazing story! ❤❤❤

Fab story!
94.7 restructuring during the pandemic was the worse. Glad Greg and Biscuit are on the air again.
I thought I was the biggest Replacements fan in town, but maybe Greg is! Greetings from Lake Oswego!
Great story!
Awesome!
Congratulations!

Glad he is back. The other DJ was not that good.
21 days sober here. Hopefully this time it sticks. At 41 the boog shoog and booze is getting rougher and rougher.

It works if you work it!
Considering how the benefits of even moderate drinking are outweighed by the negative effects why would anyone start drinking in the first place
Because some of us can enjoy ONE beer! Others cannot due to what is adictive in their mind or physical, biological system! I've had every chance to become an alcoholic...it just isn't in my system makeup, chemistry! I even worked in a bar!
Thank god you're not in charge with that logic!
