- The third part of my build of the CV-6. In this part I am working on the stern deck and structure, and starting to gluing down the decks. The build is based on the Trumpeter 03712 kit with detail up sets from Pontos and KA-models; trying to use the best of both sets.
Stunning work.. I shall give you another shout out to get people watching this build..
Thank you Nigel! As I have said before, it means a lot coming from you. And I highly appreciate a shout out from you :-)
I’m learning so much from your videos. Thank you for putting all the effort into making them. The piano music is very pleasant. I’m more of an acoustic guitar guy but the piano is good.
Thank you very much for the nice feedback, I really appreciate it, and comments like this makes it all worth the effort 😊
Thank you for sharing this part of the build. 200 scale aircraft carriers are such a great series, the photo-etch for the deck supports and in the case of the iJN carriers the overhead crane systems make for beautiful works of art. Great work, your channel is must viewing right along with Ben Steve and Maxima
Thanks Ralph for those kind words! I do look forward to working on the deck support, those types of PE work is just great fun 🤩
Great video and you play the piano too.😂 Thanks for the video enjoyed watching it.
Thanks :-) Yes I played while I built, taking multitasking to a new level ;-) Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello from Florida! Another phenomenal video. The ship is gorgeous! You are a incredible builder and the patience with photo etch is amazing. I can't wait to the next video. I am just finishing my Revell 1/72 Schnellboot. It has been a enjoyable build. Have a great day!
Thanks Jeremy for the kind words as always, it is really appreciated! Great to hear that you are enjoying your build as well 😊 Have an awesome day! Kenneth
Wow, your skills with the etch parts is just amazing.
Thank you so much John 😊
Hello Kenneth, another great build video of the CV-6. I always like to hear you speak about your decision-making process and key notes to highlight about the build. And I found the build session with music educational and relaxing as well. Question: Do you have both "CA" and "E6000" glue in your contact-lense/glue holder? Well done! Thanks! Eric
Hi Eric! Great to hear that you found that session educational. I hoped it might be. No I have thin CA and “regular” PE CA on the lense holder. E6000 goes rubbery quite quickly so it is better to take that directly from the tube. Have a great day! Kenneth
Another great video. Anyone know what the purpose of the caged structure is?
Thanks! I haven't found any details on that one. Based on the vent grids on it I would assume that there either motors for the ventilation system of the hangar and/or related to the catapult.
There's probably not a "perfect mix" for spoken audio in modeling videos.
I find myself more critical of videos fills with "triumphant royalty-free music" than those with simple musical in-fill.
Voice-over in editing is near as much work as keeping up with "live" running commentary where you are talking "to nothing."
Not a bad balance here.
Thanks for the feedback. On the latest installments I have done voice over instead. I believe that is generally more appreciated.
Great work but don’t like the piano music i found you from Nigel
Thanks!
Go to the back of the boat - make a STERN face...
The boat is all decked out, as well.
This from the guy who thinks he's funny. Thank you
😂 That is just my kind of humor 😂 My daughters are not so keen on my “father humor”, but I guess “whatever floats your boat” 😉
