- In this video, I show you how to check your engine's compression. Having consistent compression in every cylinder is a great way to verify how "healthy" your motor is. I recommend you perform a compression test prior to applying any type of forced induction (Turbo, Nitrous, Supercharger, etc).
As expected, the M3's motor is solid and I've given it the clear to run nitrous! Subscribe to the channel so you don't miss that video!
Compression Tester: amzn.to/2qAsYsW
Spark Plug Socket: amzn.to/2qAbYDb
Note: It is often advised to run the compression test on a warm/hot motor. If the car "fails" the cold test, I'd recommend running it hot to verify/validate the results.

you should remove all of the spark plugs at the same time when compression testing
Can't wait for the nosss
Very soon!!
Hi guys need help a few weeks ago i blew out my 2003 toyota corolla engine and lost my JOB
Curious as to why, never had any of my mechanics say full throttle for a compression test.
wanna know as well
The "proper" way has always been with the throttle wide open to be sure that the intake gets it's proper "gulp" of air. That said, I have seen very little if any difference in the overall outcome, but I still clip it wide open.
You should also remove your DME relay. You could have damaged your ECU.
