Grading difference between Moon and Kilter is insane. Given an equal angle of 40° I have never climbed 7a on the Moon, but have flashed 7b on the Kilter.
Ye kilter is about a number grade softer. 8B kilter is about 7B/+ moon most of the time
Well i think it depends, kilter is harder when you change the angle, for example a 7a at 60° is harder than a 7a at 40°. Also for me in italy is not so common to have kilterboard, so maybe when you try it for like 1 session you try the most repeated problem on it, so of course those problem are easier than others. Those are my thoughts, but yes the few times i tried it it felt easier compared to the moonboard
@@tefutakato8126 ahaha no way, i tried it like a 3 times but a 7b on the moonboard is like a 7c on the kilter in my opinion
same for me. I flashed 7b on the kilter (albeit only one so far) and struggle with many 6b+ on the moonboard benchmarks
Ok but which one has the correct level?
the "nice lady" translation made my day 😂
The moonboard feels more fulfilling but wayy more humbling too! I tend to have more fun working projects on the kilter as well as longer sessions :D
Definitely Team Moonboard! Helped me a ton with keeping body tension and my finger and contact strength has benefitted immensely. :)
Yess it is definitely a big help in those aspects!
The worst thing with the moonboard is the placement of the lights. I always struggle seeing/remembering holds. Probably a matter of training.
it is! i always climb without the lights on and it works fine :)
You indeed just have to get used to it :)
New V2 lights will also light up above the holds if you want it to
Its a problem with tension but not moonboard. Dont even need the lights with the mb its easy to remember with just 5 moves and unique holds
I love the « i love my mom » at the end, made me laugh
That yellow and black chaos wall looks amazing!
I like the kilter board better because it said I flashed a 7a on it recently lol
No, but I see it they way most people in the comments seem to: moonboard for training, kilter for fun :)
also love to hear those bits of french every now and then!
Cool to see the diffferences! Would be cool to see the tension board 2 as well!
Yess definitely need to try the tension board out
Moonboard for life. Kilter if I need an ego boost lol
Congrats on the video Sponsor Sofya! Nice work. The moonboard and I have a love/hate relationship...mostly hate. I have not climbed on a kilter boad unfortunately
Thank youu!
Moonboard if you want to train everything all at once and you're focused on outdoor climbing. Kilter if you want to have fun and get a shoulder workout. Probably the Moon if you're looking for a homewall and don't want to spend $10-20k USD on a board.
a kilterboard goes for way more than 20k haha
@@hunter-tm2kl it depends on which one you get. IIRC the 7x10 is under 10k but the massive ones are like 30-40k. The 7x10 still costs nearly as much as two Moonboards though...
I don’t like that all the holds on kilter are gray and round and soft…
Pour ceux qui veulent savoir où c’est : Planet Climbing Plan les Ouates 🙃
Nathan toujours aussi fort btw
deadass you need to try and get a role in house of the dragon with those amazing acting skills
Team Kilter 😤
Kilter worst board by far
@@lukedeutschbauer6724 why? It's bigger, it got better led lights and has a wider range of difficulty
more moonboard training content pleaseee
Will try to!! but my fingers don’t handle a moonbaord sesh well😅
Would like to see you climb on that spray wall next
It isn’t overhanging enough ahah
Nice board session
Moon board is hard , and i have difficulty in remembering which holds to use , can't see the lights under the holds. Never tried Kilter but looks more logic in hold recognition with light around the hold
Memorizing the holds is pretty easy tbh
@@alexantone5532 could be, maybe I should try it more
New v2 lights will also light up above the holds
Tension Board TB1 & TB2
Ahh i have to try it out
shes such a beast jesus christ.
Big moonboard vibes for me
I prefer the surfboard.
"But that wood is....small" 😄
I am a huge fan of both.
- Kilterboard holds are amazing.
- climbing is soft but you can push yourself more with harder grades.
- think them a full grade less than written.
- Kilterboard is so much more developed than Moonboard(techwise)
- kilterboard more fun for me.
Moonboard has better community., because its older. gives more satisfaction when you climb.
but still if I had a chance to own one, would straight go for Kilterboard.
thanks for the Survey
Ahaha agree on all aspects!
🗽 For me the Kilter hand holds mostly look better, than they feel. 🥴🤔
.
I love the moon board
I'd just love to find a gym in London that had both. One or the other seems to be the rule.
Yay team moonboard! Although i think it gave me climber’s elbow which I’ve been dealing with for the past 8 months 😭
Ahh fckkkk😭😭 elastic band exercises for forearms and elbows helps a lot!
Team Moonboard! But it has hurt my pulleys... so I guess it's a love/hate relationship :P
😂😂🥲 same for the pulleys
I’d be happy with either, my gym has nothing and nothing hard
Ah noo a board definitely makes things more interesting
Hey could you do a video on taping tips for bad skin?
Yess for sure!
Strong sesh 💪
3:17 That cross to I14 and then move to Top tells us only one thing, this guy clearly don’t know how strong his fingers are
Tension Board personally
What about tension boards? Like em hate em?
I’ve never tried them, i’ll have to find a gym with one!
Personally i much prefer the kilter holds, especially the variety of grip types feels more translatable to my actual climbing
tension board for sure
Worst of the bunch for sure
Haven’t had the chance to try it out yet :(
Whats the name of this gym?
Planet climbing in geneva !
I'm a simple man. I see a thumbnail of Sofya board climbing, I click.
I'm a tension board guy
Tensionboard 2
Wondering why the moonboard is easier on the skin?
For this version of the moonboard there’s a lot of wooden holds which take much less skin (as there’s no texture on the holds)
Tension board gang.
the moonboard is very rewarding but painful on the fingers ...
je mettrai bien un kilter board dans mon garage :D
Pareeil
Kilter for the ego boost, moonboard to stay humbled
Salut, quelle est la salle?
Planet Climbing à Plan-les-Ouates (Genève)
OK SPONSOR
the sponsor bit is too real 😬
Why do women wear tights and super tight clothes while climbing? As a sport it doesn't require that attire.
Because they like it. Hope that helps.
