**Title:** "Analyzing Bias and Misrepresentation in a Science Video" **Summary:** This video response critically examines another video that attempts to draw connections between ancient Indian scriptures and modern scientific concepts. The response video, created by Pranav, highlights various flaws, biases, and inaccuracies in the original video's arguments. It questions the interpretation of certain scriptures, mathematical calculations, and the overall scientific rigor of the claims made in the video. Pranav argues that such attempts to link religion and science can mislead and give a false impression of how science works. **Key Points and Takeaways:** 1. **Introduction and Context:** Pranav begins by introducing the video he is responding to and highlights his respect for the original content creator as a science communicator. He acknowledges that the creator's channel usually covers scientific topics effectively but questions their approach when discussing religion. 2. **Cherry-Picking Topics:** Pranav criticizes the original video for selectively choosing topics to investigate and not covering all the aspects mentioned in the source material. He argues that cherry-picking can cater to the biases of the audience and does not promote a rational or unbiased examination. 3. **Questionable Interpretations:** Pranav raises concerns about the interpretations of ancient scriptures in the original video, particularly when it comes to linking them to modern scientific concepts. He highlights that these interpretations may lack evidence and can lead to misconceptions about how science operates. 4. **Errors in Calculations:** Pranav points out errors in calculations made in the original video to determine the speed of light based on ancient measurements. He emphasizes that such inaccuracies can mislead viewers and undermine the credibility of the claims. 5. **Appeal to Authority:** The response video criticizes the original video for using appeals to authority, such as quoting scientists like Schrödinger and Heisenberg, to bolster its arguments. Pranav argues that this doesn't necessarily validate the claims made. 6. **Middle Ground Fallacy:** Pranav challenges the original video's assertion that taking a middle ground between science and religion is a reasonable approach. He contends that seeking a middle ground between two extremes doesn't necessarily lead to a rational conclusion and emphasizes the importance of evidence-based reasoning. 7. **Philosophy Comparison:** The response video points out an error in the original video's classification of Indian philosophies, stating that the categorization of astika and nastika schools doesn't align with the definitions of these terms. 8. **Promotion of Skepticism:** Pranav underscores the importance of skepticism and critical thinking in evaluating claims, especially when it comes to topics like the intersection of science and religion. He encourages viewers to consider evidence and question assertions. 9. **Support for the Creator:** Pranav promotes support for his own content via various platforms, including Patreon, RUclips memberships, and Nas IOU, emphasizing the significance of fan support for creators like himself. In summary, the response video highlights several shortcomings and biases in the original content's attempt to link ancient Indian scriptures with modern science. It underscores the need for critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning in such discussions.

Most atheists were born into some religion and what caused them to move away was curiousity and asking questions. The reason why people think that athesits are hell bent on proving religious scriptures wrong is basically them not wanting to ask or entertain questions. As a former religious nut this is very familiar to me cz religion gives you instructions and does the ground work for you on what to do and gives simplistic reasons for it, you dont have to use your brains and a lot of people, especially from difficult realities, want this. Religion targets the vulnerable, gives you escapist narratives which gives people an addictive dopamine hit constantly.
hinduism gives you freedom. In hinduism, one does not have to be a devotee or even pray. All one has to do is one's duty towards society. One must show kindness, compassion and empathy towards others. One must simply pursue knowledge.

@@spuriusscapula4829well I don't really understand why people want validation of their religion from science. Shouldn't you be confident enough in your faith ?Honestly I believe that religion is not a science. So if you analyse religion using scientific explanations or theories that would be a wrong approach. I believe if we want to really analyse religion we need to go into philosophy, theology etc.
@@laxminarayanbhandari855 also perhaps we can argue about metaphysics , human nature and stuff. I love philosophy and I really dislike when religion is somehow compared with science. Hi Pranav, appreciate your hardwork in this video, but what I've found after some research is that the statement about the Speed of light in vedas is quite right. Consider the below verse from (Rig-veda book I, chapter 50, hymn 4) “Yojananam Dwe Dwe Shate Dwe Cha Yojane Aken Nimishardena Kramana Namostute” In the above verse, Nimishardhena means Half Nimisha, Dwe means “two” & shate means “Hundred”, So the above means “Sun light travels 2202 Yojanas in half Nimisha.” Yojana and Nimisha are the vedic units of distance and time respectively which can be expressed in many ways like Nimishardhena means half of nimesa. Nimisa means winking the eye. According to science, our eyes wink five times in one second. So, Nimishardhena is 0.1 seconds. (1/5 * 1/2) 1 Yojana =8000 Purushu(man’s height)= 8000* 6 feet=14.63 km~9 miles Monier Williams further derived the value of yojana based on his research as 9 miles i.e. 14.48 km. Considering the above units, speed of light in modern SI unit can be calculated as distance/time = 2202 x 9 / 0.1056 = 19818/0.1056 = 187670.45 miles per second Which is very close to the value which modern science derives. That is 186000 miles per second
@@lightningrodMC This is my own research across the web and i don't remember much links. My best suggestion for you is to again search these up. You can type in the question "Is the value of the speed of light mentioned in Hindu Vedas?" and you will get many results

India's Vedic texts are a treasure trove of ancient knowledge, encompassing a wide range of subjects such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and philosophy. These texts reflect the sophisticated understanding and advanced intellectual achievements of ancient Indian scholars. Below is a detailed analysis of some of the most notable contributions from Vedic literature. ### Mathematics **1. Concept of Zero:** The concept of zero as a number was developed by Indian mathematicians. This revolutionary idea is attributed to Brahmagupta, who in the 7th century provided a formal definition of zero and its mathematical operations in his seminal work, the *Brahmasphutasiddhanta*. **2. Decimal System:** The decimal system, which is the foundation of modern arithmetic, was first documented in India. The place-value notation and the use of ten as a base for counting were critical developments in mathematical history. **3. Algebra and Trigonometry:** - **Aryabhata (476-550 CE):** Aryabhata's *Aryabhatiya* is a landmark text that covers arithmetic, algebra, plane trigonometry, and spherical trigonometry. Aryabhata introduced the concept of sine and cosine, which are fundamental in trigonometry. - **Bhaskara II (1114-1185 CE):** In his work *Lilavati*, Bhaskara II provided solutions to various algebraic equations and developed methods that are remarkably advanced for their time. ### Astronomy **1. Aryabhata's Contributions:** Aryabhata's *Aryabhatiya* also made significant contributions to astronomy. He proposed a heliocentric model where the Earth rotates on its axis, a concept that predated Copernicus by over a thousand years. Aryabhata accurately calculated the length of the solar year and provided detailed explanations of solar and lunar eclipses. **2. Surya Siddhanta:** The *Surya Siddhanta* is an ancient astronomical treatise that outlines various astronomical calculations and models. It includes methods for calculating the positions of planets, eclipses, and other celestial phenomena with remarkable precision. ### Medicine **1. Ayurveda:** Ayurveda, the traditional system of medicine in India, is documented in ancient texts such as the *Charaka Samhita* and the *Sushruta Samhita*. - **Charaka Samhita:** Attributed to Charaka, this text is a comprehensive guide on internal medicine, discussing various diseases, their diagnosis, and treatment methods. It emphasizes the balance of bodily humors (doshas) and includes detailed descriptions of numerous medicinal plants. - **Sushruta Samhita:** Attributed to Sushruta, this text is one of the earliest works on surgery. It describes various surgical techniques, including rhinoplasty (reconstructive surgery of the nose), cataract surgery, and procedures for treating fractures and wounds. ### Philosophy and Metaphysics **1. The Upanishads:** The Upanishads are philosophical texts that explore the nature of reality and the self. They form the basis of Vedanta, one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy. - **Concept of Brahman and Atman:** The Upanishads discuss the ultimate reality (Brahman) and the individual soul (Atman), emphasizing their unity. The famous Mahavakya (great sayings) like "Tat Tvam Asi" (Thou art That) from the *Chandogya Upanishad* encapsulate this profound philosophical idea. **2. Bhagavad Gita:** Part of the Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita is a 700-verse text that addresses the moral and philosophical dilemmas faced by Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It covers a wide range of topics including duty (dharma), righteousness, and the paths of devotion (bhakti), knowledge (jnana), and action (karma). ### Linguistics and Grammar **1. Panini's Ashtadhyayi:** Panini's *Ashtadhyayi* is an ancient Sanskrit grammar that lays down rules for the morphology and syntax of Sanskrit. Composed around the 4th century BCE, it is one of the earliest and most comprehensive linguistic analyses, setting the standard for linguistic theory and descriptive grammar. ### Conclusion The Vedic texts reflect an advanced level of knowledge in various fields that was unparalleled in the ancient world. They illustrate the sophisticated intellectual pursuits of ancient Indian scholars and their contributions to global knowledge. Despite the disruptions caused by later historical events, the legacy of Vedic scholarship continues to be a source of inspiration and pride.

Your second point speed of light Here you see The speed of light is mentioned in several Hindu scriptures, including: 1. Rigveda (1.50.4): "Vishnu strides across the universe in three steps, covering 22,000 yojanas in one step." Yojana = 8-9 miles (13-14 km) 22,000 yojanas = approximately 186,000 miles (300,000 km) Divide by 3 steps = approximately 62,000 miles (100,000 km) per step Since Vishnu's stride is said to be the speed of light, this approximates the speed of light (186,282 miles/second) 1. Mahabharata (12.349.56-57): "The sun's rays travel 80,000 yojanas in half a nimesha (blink of an eye)." Nimesha = 0.05 seconds (approximate blink duration) 80,000 yojanas / 0.05 seconds ≈ 186,000 miles/second (300,000 km/s) 1. Surya Siddhanta (1.42-43): "The speed of light is 220,000 yojanas in half a nimesha." Same calculation as above ≈ 186,000 miles/second (300,000 km/s) Please note that these verses were not intended as scientific proofs but rather as poetic descriptions. However, they demonstrate an ancient understanding of the speed of light, remarkably close to the actual value (186,282 miles/second). This is from meta ai bro 😂😂
Even when using the values provided in the statements, there are several mistakes and misinterpretations in the calculations themselves. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what goes wrong: 1. Rigveda (1.50.4) Statement: "Vishnu strides across the universe in three steps, covering 22,000 yojanas in one step." Assumed conversion: 1 yojana = 8-9 miles or 13-14 km, 22,000 yojanas = 186,000 miles or 300,000 km (approximating the speed of light). Issue with the calculation: Step 1: 22,000 yojanas × 8.5 miles (average) = 187,000 miles (this is close to the speed of light, 186,282 miles/second). Step 2: Dividing by 3 steps = approximately 62,000 miles per step. Error: There's no explanation for why dividing by 3 gives the speed of light. The logic that taking 3 steps somehow represents the speed of light is incorrect. If we divide 187,000 miles by 3, we just get the distance per step, which does not reflect the speed of light (which is a distance per unit time). Missing Time Factor: Speed requires both distance and time. Here, no time is provided, so equating Vishnu’s steps to the speed of light is a misinterpretation. 2. Mahabharata (12.349.56-57) Statement: "The sun's rays travel 80,000 yojanas in half a nimesha (blink of an eye)." Assumed conversion: 80,000 yojanas, 1 nimesha = 0.05 seconds, half a nimesha = 0.025 seconds. Issue with the calculation: Step 1: Convert yojanas to miles: 80,000 yojanas × 8.5 miles (average) = 680,000 miles. Step 2: Time = 0.025 seconds (half a nimesha). Step 3: Speed = Distance ÷ Time = 680,000 miles ÷ 0.025 seconds = 27,200,000 miles/second. Error: The result of this calculation (27.2 million miles/second) is far greater than the speed of light, which is about 186,282 miles/second. So, even using the provided values, the calculation overshoots the actual speed of light by more than 100 times. Inconsistency: The distance of 80,000 yojanas and the time of half a nimesha do not correctly approximate the speed of light, but rather lead to a much faster, unrealistic speed. 3. Surya Siddhanta (1.42-43) Statement: "The speed of light is 220,000 yojanas in half a nimesha." Assumed conversion: 1 yojana = 8-9 miles, 1 nimesha = 0.05 seconds, half a nimesha = 0.025 seconds. Issue with the calculation: Step 1: Convert yojanas to miles: 220,000 yojanas × 8.5 miles (average) = 1,870,000 miles. Step 2: Time = 0.025 seconds (half a nimesha). Step 3: Speed = Distance ÷ Time = 1,870,000 miles ÷ 0.025 seconds = 74,800,000 miles/second. Error: Again, the calculated speed of 74.8 million miles/second is vastly greater than the actual speed of light (186,282 miles/second). This result is nearly 400 times the speed of light, which is impossible. Inconsistent with physics: The speed of light is a physical constant, and no known phenomenon exceeds it. This calculation significantly overestimates the speed. Summary of Errors: 1. Misunderstanding speed: Speed requires distance and time. While the distances (in yojanas) are mentioned, the time intervals (nimesha) used in these calculations are either arbitrary or incorrect, leading to absurdly high speeds. 2. Wrong distances: The assumed conversion from yojanas to miles (or km) is inconsistent and leads to overinflated distances. 3. Lack of time context: There is no clear justification for the time intervals (e.g., a nimesha being 0.05 seconds). Even if we assume this, the resulting speeds far exceed the actual speed of light. 4. Overestimation: Even accepting the numbers provided (80,000 or 220,000 yojanas), the speeds calculated are unrealistic, exceeding the speed of light by orders of magnitude, which is not possible in modern physics. Thus, using these values results in incorrect, nonsensical calculations that do not reflect the physical reality of light speed. This if from chatgpt

@@mr.gamerkabir8142 No need to read scriptures, the so called hindu nationalists who claim to have read the scriptures have made fool of themseleves with their non sense, unscientific and weak claims which they say have come from "science of vedas"! This is enough to conclude vedas don't have science!
I think that while you wanted a rational debate, looking at the comments section, you ended up villainising Gaurav a bit. Overall, I found your video to be a little nitpicky, I will clarify a couple of things related to your questions on the speed of the light claim: 1. You quote him talking about uncertainties of these units like Yojana and Nimesha and then make a contradictory claim stating he does not mention any uncertainties! Did you expect him to put a disclaimer once every five second talking about the uncertainties?! The way I see it, He very clearly put a disclaimer talking about these units not being standardized and the possibility of them getting conveniently interpreted. 2. 1 Dhanu = 6 feet on an average claim: You say, "where did he get this value from? I don't know". He has taken it from the paper by Subhash Kak(Go to his video and pause on 20.04th minute), in that paper he quotes Kautilya's Arthashastra as the source for that. Even Kak clearly mentions that Yojana can be interpreted as multiple things and states his reasoning for choosing 1 Yojana = 9 miles. 3. I looked at 3 Sanskrit dictionaries that are reputed and here is what they say about Yojana: VS Apte: A measure of distance equal to four Krośas or eight or nine miles Monier-Williams: a distance traversed in one harnessing or without unyoking; especially a particular measure of distance, sometimes regarded as equal to 4 or 5 English miles, but more correctly = 4 krośa-s or about 9 miles;according to other calculations = 2 1/2 English miles, and according to some = 8 krośa-s) etc Arthur Anthony Macdonell: a measure of distance equal to four krosas or about nine English miles 4. You bring the Hanuman Chalisa bit. If somebody making a claim about Hanuman Chalisa says that 1 Yojana = 8 miles, why should Gaurav be held accountable for that? 5. 1 nimesha = 0.2 seconds, you talk about no reasons being mentioned for that. He actually shows the screenshot for the source at around 20.21 minute. He is taking it from the 4th page of the following book: Units of Measurement: Past, Present and Future. International System of Units By S. V. Gupta The paper by Subhash Kak also takes the same stance. 6. All said, the calculation error that you point out is valid. For the details of the actual calculation we have to look at the paper by Subhash Kak and the sources that he cites and examine the claims there. Anyway, read Subhash Kak's paper, that will answer many of your quetions: browse.arxiv.org/pdf/physics/9804020.pdf

read your previous comment: Consider the below verse from (Rig-veda book I, chapter 50, hymn 4) “Yojananam Dwe Dwe Shate Dwe Cha Yojane Aken Nimishardena Kramana Namostute” In the above verse, Nimishardhena means Half Nimisha, Dwe means “two” & shate means “Hundred”, So the above means “Sun light travels 2202 Yojanas in half Nimisha.” Yojana and Nimisha are the vedic units of distance and time respectively which can be expressed in many ways like Nimishardhena means half of nimesa.

In Physics we study: Electron interacts with the world in 3 ways As wave (superposition and interference of ß-rays), As particle (bond formation), As energy (photoelectric effect and energy level changing) So similarly Hinduism says a single God can exist in several forms (Polymorphism) and reside at different places (like Superposition) And Hinduism also says that there is Only One God (Eka Brahma Dvitiya Nasti) So Hinduism isn't Polytheism, it is Polymorphic Monotheism (This is a very complex thing and gets easier if you study Carl Sagan's book on superposition ) And Shri Krishna also told Arjun that _any object is made of energy and every such energy belongs to Shri Krishna_ And this thing is taught in higher education Physics. That is, all matter in the universe is energy (E=mc² for converting) And also Thermodynamics teaches that the energy of the whole universe is conserved and also of same origin and are unified. Scientists like Heisenberg, Schrödinger, Sagan, Oppenheimer, Einstein acknowledged Hinduism Einstein just acknowledged but wasn't much into it Oppenheimer read Bhagvat Gita and followed Shri Krishna's principles in his daily life and the above mentioned word of Shri Krishna inspired him a lot (the death and destruction quote) Sagan later on converted to Hinduism Heisenberg after making his theory came to India and after his interaction with Rabindranath Tagore about the Vedas and Upanishads he said "The theories of modern science would be Easier for those to understand who read the Upanishads or Vedas" Schrödinger in one of his articles had some Physics theory and where he used Upanishads for reference (I don't understand the part too cuz it's very complex... 🐱) Now coming to Biological sciences, If we see the Avatars of Lord Vishnu, they appeared exactly in order of Phylogenetic progression

I am totally agreeing with you in this video. But I think debunking the whole ancient indian society as a non scientific one is an absolute nonsense. There used to be great respect to scientific things those days. There were many great universities in india those days like Takshasila, Nalanda ,etc..where people from different parts of world used to get there to study about different aspects of sciences and humanitarians. Many of those things might not be very relavent today but the nature of indian society must be noted..Many things those were thought scientifically correct in the 19th century by those scientific societies were thought to be absolutely not true by the 20th century. As a medical student I totally object the practice of Ayurveda these days. But it is a very great thing in those days which has many aspects of scientific achievements. THE THING IS THOSE ARE NOT JUST RELAVENT TO THIS DAY ANYMORE. The thing which is relavent today won't be relavent anymore in about 50 to 100 years. THIS DOESN'T MEAN PEOPLE OF THIS LAND WERE NOT RATIONAL IN THE COVER OF RELEGION.They usually never priorotized the unproven facts written in some relegious books over the proven scientific ones(Which used to be in the the other parts of world)(you know what happened to Galelio and Copernicus ). And the main thing is the institutions of scientific methodologies in india were destroyed (Takshasila ,Nalanda,etc..)so from then so no advancements occured from then to be relavent to this day.(Read about why Md.Khaliji destroyed nalanda)

**Title:** "Analyzing Bias and Misrepresentation in a Science Video"
**Summary:**
This video response critically examines another video that attempts to draw connections between ancient Indian scriptures and modern scientific concepts.
**Key Points and Takeaways:**

I think if we start to analyse religion using philosophy and history as most religions were made in really old times and religions are influenced by the social conditions and so we should study religion under that historical and social context. It could be a far better approach.

Hi Pranav, appreciate your hardwork in this video, but what I've found after some research is that the statement about the Speed of light in vedas is quite right.
Consider the below verse from (Rig-veda book I, chapter 50, hymn 4)
“Yojananam Dwe Dwe Shate Dwe Cha Yojane
Aken Nimishardena Kramana Namostute”
In the above verse,
Nimishardhena means Half Nimisha, Dwe means “two” & shate means “Hundred”, So the above means
“Sun light travels 2202 Yojanas in half Nimisha.”
Yojana and Nimisha are the vedic units of distance and time respectively which can be expressed in many ways like
Nimishardhena means half of nimesa. Nimisa means winking the eye. According to science, our eyes wink five times in one second. So, Nimishardhena is 0.1 seconds. (1/5 * 1/2)
1 Yojana =8000 Purushu(man’s height)= 8000* 6 feet=14.63 km~9 miles
Monier Williams further derived the value of yojana based on his research as 9 miles i.e. 14.48 km.
Considering the above units, speed of light in modern SI unit can be calculated as
distance/time
= 2202 x 9 / 0.1056
= 19818/0.1056
= 187670.45 miles per second
Which is very close to the value which modern science derives. That is 186000 miles per second
Hmmmmm
Could u tell me the sources from where u got the statement and values

India's Vedic texts are a treasure trove of ancient knowledge, encompassing a wide range of subjects such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and philosophy. These texts reflect the sophisticated understanding and advanced intellectual achievements of ancient Indian scholars. Below is a detailed analysis of some of the most notable contributions from Vedic literature.
### Mathematics
**1. Concept of Zero:**
The concept of zero as a number was developed by Indian mathematicians. This revolutionary idea is attributed to Brahmagupta, who in the 7th century provided a formal definition of zero and its mathematical operations in his seminal work, the *Brahmasphutasiddhanta*.
**2. Decimal System:**
The decimal system, which is the foundation of modern arithmetic, was first documented in India. The place-value notation and the use of ten as a base for counting were critical developments in mathematical history.
**3. Algebra and Trigonometry:**
- **Aryabhata (476-550 CE):** Aryabhata's *Aryabhatiya* is a landmark text that covers arithmetic, algebra, plane trigonometry, and spherical trigonometry.
### Astronomy
**1. Aryabhata's Contributions:**
Aryabhata's *Aryabhatiya* also made significant contributions to astronomy. He proposed a heliocentric model where the Earth rotates on its axis, a concept that predated Copernicus by over a thousand years. Aryabhata accurately calculated the length of the solar year and provided detailed explanations of solar and lunar eclipses.
**2. Surya Siddhanta:**
The *Surya Siddhanta* is an ancient astronomical treatise that outlines various astronomical calculations and models. It includes methods for calculating the positions of planets, eclipses, and other celestial phenomena with remarkable precision.
### Medicine
**1. Ayurveda:**
Ayurveda, the traditional system of medicine in India, is documented in ancient texts such as the *Charaka Samhita* and the *Sushruta Samhita*.
### Philosophy and Metaphysics
**1. The Upanishads:**
The Upanishads are philosophical texts that explore the nature of reality and the self.
**2. Bhagavad Gita:**
Part of the Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita is a 700-verse text that addresses the moral and philosophical dilemmas faced by Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It covers a wide range of topics including duty (dharma), righteousness, and the paths of devotion (bhakti), knowledge (jnana), and action (karma).
### Linguistics and Grammar
**1. Panini's Ashtadhyayi:**
Panini's *Ashtadhyayi* is an ancient Sanskrit grammar that lays down rules for the morphology and syntax of Sanskrit. Composed around the 4th century BCE, it is one of the earliest and most comprehensive linguistic analyses, setting the standard for linguistic theory and descriptive grammar.
### Conclusion
The Vedic texts reflect an advanced level of knowledge in various fields that was unparalleled in the ancient world. They illustrate the sophisticated intellectual pursuits of ancient Indian scholars and their contributions to global knowledge. Despite the disruptions caused by later historical events, the legacy of Vedic scholarship continues to be a source of inspiration and pride.

Your second point speed of light
Here you see
The speed of light is mentioned in several Hindu scriptures, including:
1. Rigveda (1.50.4): "Vishnu strides across the universe in three steps, covering 22,000 yojanas in one step."
Yojana = 8-9 miles (13-14 km)
22,000 yojanas = approximately 186,000 miles (300,000 km)
Divide by 3 steps = approximately 62,000 miles (100,000 km) per step
Since Vishnu's stride is said to be the speed of light, this approximates the speed of light (186,282 miles/second)
1. Mahabharata (12.349.56-57): "The sun's rays travel 80,000 yojanas in half a nimesha (blink of an eye)."
Nimesha = 0.05 seconds (approximate blink duration)
80,000 yojanas / 0.05 seconds ≈ 186,000 miles/second (300,000 km/s)
1. Surya Siddhanta (1.42-43): "The speed of light is 220,000 yojanas in half a nimesha."
Same calculation as above ≈ 186,000 miles/second (300,000 km/s)
Please note that these verses were not intended as scientific proofs but rather as poetic descriptions. However, they demonstrate an ancient understanding of the speed of light, remarkably close to the actual value (186,282 miles/second). This is from meta ai bro 😂😂
Kuch bhi karo lekin aaj ki value ke sath match ho jaye 🤡 scientific dharam jo hai
Even when using the values provided in the statements, there are several mistakes and misinterpretations in the calculations themselves. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what goes wrong:
1. Rigveda (1.50.4)
Statement: "Vishnu strides across the universe in three steps, covering 22,000 yojanas in one step."
Assumed conversion: 1 yojana = 8-9 miles or 13-14 km, 22,000 yojanas = 186,000 miles or 300,000 km (approximating the speed of light).
Issue with the calculation:
Step 1: 22,000 yojanas × 8.5 miles (average) = 187,000 miles (this is close to the speed of light, 186,282 miles/second).
2. Mahabharata (12.349.56-57)
Statement: "The sun's rays travel 80,000 yojanas in half a nimesha (blink of an eye)."
Assumed conversion: 80,000 yojanas, 1 nimesha = 0.05 seconds, half a nimesha = 0.025 seconds.
Issue with the calculation:
Step 1: Convert yojanas to miles: 80,000 yojanas × 8.5 miles (average) = 680,000 miles.
3. Surya Siddhanta (1.42-43)
Statement: "The speed of light is 220,000 yojanas in half a nimesha."
Assumed conversion: 1 yojana = 8-9 miles, 1 nimesha = 0.05 seconds, half a nimesha = 0.025 seconds.
Issue with the calculation:
Step 1: Convert yojanas to miles: 220,000 yojanas × 8.5 miles (average) = 1,870,000 miles.
Summary of Errors:

I think that while you wanted a rational debate, looking at the comments section, you ended up villainising Gaurav a bit. Overall, I found your video to be a little nitpicky, I will clarify a couple of things related to your questions on the speed of the light claim:
3. I looked at 3 Sanskrit dictionaries that are reputed and here is what they say about Yojana:
VS Apte: A measure of distance equal to four Krośas or eight or nine miles
Monier-Williams: a distance traversed in one harnessing or without unyoking; especially a particular measure of distance, sometimes regarded as equal to 4 or 5 English miles, but more correctly = 4 krośa-s or about 9 miles;according to other calculations = 2 1/2 English miles, and according to some = 8 krośa-s) etc
Arthur Anthony Macdonell: a measure of distance equal to four krosas or about nine English miles
V. Gupta
The paper by Subhash Kak also takes the same stance.

23:52 you did a logical fallacy of false equivocation in an attempt to accuse middle ground fallacy on Gaurav in Science vs Religion debate. Like former is based entirely or solely on scientific method and the latter is dependent on factors beyond the realm of science. (In fact, it’s a false dichotomy practically)
What Gaurav said was based on 'conclusion' of his 'premises' set in video, in which the premises given by him was pointed out as vague/lazy analysis by you. He didn't actually make a fresh appeal to middle ground based on assumption. 😊
Thank you for debunking this nonsense. Not rocket science, deducing why all these youtubers have pivoted towards RW talking points..

When i saw that video of Gaurav. I was confused about how vedas got the speed of light right and really needed your video to cross verify it. Thanks for saving me from falling into this pit of misinterpretation of vedas
read your previous comment:

As a sanatani and science lover i just want to say one thing that don't mix science with any religion or dharma cause there is no similarity between these, Science is science and religion is religion 😂😂😂 but some andbhakt would deny that and will tell that science came from sanatan, many will tell that it came from islam but reality is that science is science which is universal truth and it didn't come from any religion so don't mix these two things.
you are right and wrong logic is a limitation for our minds anything that we've haven't seen from our eyes or haven't seen a very big number of people's accepting it we don't believe it........... Science doesn't make anything=Anything make science... if there's nothing there's no science... Science is way to know how Things work what are They Why are They science doesn't came from any religion neither HINDUISM OR Islam............... But it came from human mind . And for celerity sake i'am a Muslim and a Science Nerd❤ And I don't know if you believe in God or not..... but there is something that created this which we are living in... if i bring you a camera and say in billions of years space dust geatherd and this thing while can capture and record came in existence would you gonna believe it What am expecting your answer is no...... and we humans and this universe is way much complicated that that camera . science doesn't came from religion neither religion came from science
as a Muslim what i believe is this life is a test for us how we do what we do..... and science is pretty much a way to live life now.and religion is also a way to live life is a particular way that harm no one is this time no one literally no one neither I follow my religion 100%. and in Quran there are many references of events which science have told us about like big bang and all if you want i can tell you about those .

In Physics we study: Electron interacts with the world in 3 ways
As wave (superposition and interference of ß-rays),
As particle (bond formation),
As energy (photoelectric effect and energy level changing)
So similarly Hinduism says a single God can exist in several forms (Polymorphism) and reside at different places (like Superposition)
And Hinduism also says that there is Only One God (Eka Brahma Dvitiya Nasti)
So Hinduism isn't Polytheism, it is Polymorphic Monotheism (This is a very complex thing and gets easier if you study Carl Sagan's book on superposition )
And Shri Krishna also told Arjun that _any object is made of energy and every such energy belongs to Shri Krishna_
And this thing is taught in higher education Physics.
That is,
all matter in the universe is energy (E=mc² for converting) And also Thermodynamics teaches that the energy of the whole universe is conserved and also of same origin and are unified.
Scientists like Heisenberg, Schrödinger, Sagan, Oppenheimer, Einstein acknowledged Hinduism
Einstein just acknowledged but wasn't much into it
Oppenheimer read Bhagvat Gita and followed Shri Krishna's principles in his daily life and the above mentioned word of Shri Krishna inspired him a lot (the death and destruction quote)
Sagan later on converted to Hinduism
Heisenberg after making his theory came to India and after his interaction with Rabindranath Tagore about the Vedas and Upanishads he said "The theories of modern science would be Easier for those to understand who read the Upanishads or Vedas"
Schrödinger in one of his articles had some Physics theory and where he used Upanishads for reference (I don't understand the part too cuz it's very complex... 🐱)
Now coming to Biological sciences,
If we see the Avatars of Lord Vishnu, they appeared exactly in order of Phylogenetic progression

@@LostinMangoname me one factual error in his any expose video. I dare you.
