I like my Astrolith. Sound is very balanced, not fatiguing , nice bass. Comfortable for several hours of listening. Livelier than the Fathom . I'm going to have a Bonneville next week, can't wait to compare.
@@vincenzotufo7392 I like both very much. The Bonneville has a 'funner' sound. A bit more bass emphasis and mids. The astrolith might be 'more analytical' It has the bass, but is more restrained, pretty much all the way The Astrolith is a bit ( just a little ) harder to drive than the Bonneville. I found that listening to the Bonneville at fairly low volume still gave me a satisfying experience. The Astrolith needed just a bit more volume for the same experience.
@@vincenzotufo7392 After having the Bonneville for a while I think I can give a non scientific opinion. The Bonneville is a really nice IEM. Very easy to drive, and good sound at low volumes. The bass is pronounced, in a good way. Lively presentation overall, without being fatiguing. The Astrolith has a brighter sound in comparison, but more balanced than the Bonneville , more detailed. Requires more output from DAP for an equivalent sound level. My 2¢
i just got the fathom. should i return it lol? how is metal music on the Astrolith? Orchestra? Footsteps in video games? Verticality/holography/positioning?
Totally agree with your review. Just had a demo this evening and the fullness throughout the range was so impressive. During my demo I played Also sprach Zarathustra (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), Sing a Song (Kenny Garrett), Holding Back the Years (Gretchen Parlato) , The Time is Right (Barry White). I felt like I was in Milan listening to a concert at La Scala. The soundstage was so wide. The only drawback is price. I would have to get a nice bonus at work before buying these.
As an LCD X 2021 owner and lover, I would probably enjoy these. But they’re out of my price range. I find the Symphonium Meteors give me close to the LCD X tuning, but they’re not planars. Good vid and presentation. I like your taste
First off it was nice to meet the Bloom Audio Crew at CanJam Dallas. My son was the one enjoying the discounted free candy..lol I listened to a few of the Campfire line at Canjam Dallas 2024 and I really wanted to like them but I was shocked. I listen to the Astrolith first and it sounded super dark and dead. The trebile was buried. I asked if they had anything better balanced and I was given the Moon River, They sounded way better to my ear. The problem is I listened to the Ie600 at the Sinnheiser booth next to them and found it to be worlds better at a quarter of the price of the Astrolith and half the price of the Moon River. I wanted to get the Andromeda for years and a bunch of people said you should hear them first and not to blind buy, unfortunately I've never heard them. I ultimately bought the 64 Audio U12T and it is leagues better to my ears in every way vs the similarly priced Astrolith. Good bass, better balanced, better detail etc. I'll listen to Campfire Audio again when I get a chance but I was not impressed by the Trifecta, or Astrolith, the Moon River sounded the best of the 3 IEM is tested, but I think they IE600 at half the price sounds better for less, and at or around the 2k price the U12T sound way, way, way better.
I’m a long term owner of the IE600 and recently got an Astrolith. I think the IE600 is a fantastic IEM, especially in its price segment. Incredible soundstage, timbre, bass, and treble. The mids are the weakest point to me, the dip in the V-shape is too prominent and I find myself cranking the volume to hear the mids better. Astrolith’s 6mm driver handling the highs provides a tremendous amount of high frequency energy and detail, so I’m surprised they sounded dark to you (to be fair the video we’re commenting on says they sound similar to an LCD-2 which is also dark). The sound can change a lot with different tips so it may be the tips they had at the show muted the highs, but you can bring all of that info out with tip rolling. The mids are more prominent on the Astrolith than the IE600, even with more bass and treble extension, and that’s a relief after compensation for the IE600s mid dip for so long. In terms of detail, speed, and resolution, the Astrolith leaves the IE600 in the dust. The IE600 has very good detail and resolution but when I compare it to the Astrolith on the same tracks, the Astrolith presents so much more. The jump from a $100 IEM to IE600 in technicalities is to my ears the same kind of jump from IE600 to Astrolith, it’s just an entirely different weight class. I love both IEMs but I don’t think the IE600 presents any competition to the Astrolith, the IE900 might but I haven’t heard that one myself so I can’t say beyond its reputation.
I purchased trifecta on the back of your review but it wasn’t mentioned in the campfire lineup. Has it fallen from your favour in terms of this model being a better overall presentation and layering? I’m tempted given its higher frequency width.
Hi, can you please explain to me how I can use Eversolo as a UPnP, if my server is a laptop, not a NAS? now I would also like to use Eversolo SSD as a library. I hope that despite my weak English you understand the question?
Grand Maestro has a bigger emphasis in the subbass and a more controlled midbass, but doesn't have the same fullness and richness in the mids as Radon. If you're sensitive to any sense of "bloat" in the midbass, then you'll probably prefer Grand Maestro. I definitely prefer Radon6 for more rock/alternative/metal type genres, while Grand Maestro's subbass is great with pop/electronic/EDM type stuff. It's funny, Grand Maestro has the "vocal" switch, but I didn't really like it for vocals and did like it for things like instrumental guitar.
Efgaristau, Stephen, but I prefer the Campfire Dorado over the Andromeda. The Trifecta is also spectacular (though a tad oversized, not to mention OVERPRICED). The Vegan Vicar.

I've never tried a Campfire planar but I would love to.

U12t is the most boring IEM I’ve owned. Astrolith has much more character and equally as technical
@LT15313 to each there own, I wasn't impressed with the tonality to my ears
