What makes me most sad about this song is that when the emotional part comes up I think of how much Cliff meant to Metallica and how close of a friend he was with Lars, Kirk, and James and how young he was. I cry because I think about what he could've become. RIP Clifford Lee Burton forever, in Metallica fans hearts. Makes me sad just knowing he's gone and never coming back..
He’s never gone. He’s always with us.
Today’s his 33rd anniversary RIP Cliff Burton ❤️
With him a creative, complex, musically mature Metallica died too. "...Justice..." was the last inertia. From there, just shitty stuff.
He sure was the hanneman of Metallica
3:52 I cried.
God bless Mr. Cliff Burton.
This is so powerful. Long live cliff..
+Richard Reynaga I believe this is actually the instrument Cliff wrote it on, The piano.
Is it true that Cliff wrote this specific part, and only him? I used to think Hetfield played this part on classical guitar as a tribute to him.
Thanks
Hetfield added harmonics, but the melody is the same riff Cliff wrote and played by Jason on the record.
Im lost... Cliff wasn't in the making of and justice for all
The quiet parts transfer brilliantly to piano, really like it. But the heavy parts sound awkward in places.
I thought this too - but it's still good.
That's because of the lack of drums in this recording. It's not about her playing but how the song was written.
@@ayas606 I think it's the playing, the timing is sooooo so off
You mother found it awkward when she met your father for the first time at the refuse transfer station, but luckily for you , she saw past the fact that he was her own brother , and as mentally challenged as he was , your foulded out homeless father actually had a beautiful side hidden behind his feces smeared face!
You come here to this video making an insignificant critique about an amazing song covered by a phenomenal artist . To say that the bass notes were too intense at certain points in this song just shows your naivete.
The song is written a lot like the plot design is written for a movie . It builds up, and when its adequetly built up, it unleashes hell.
Exactly like it is supposed to .
This is how its done.
Now GTFO!
"When a Man Lies He Murders
Some Part of the World
These Are the Pale Deaths Which
Men Miscall Their Lives
All this I Cannot Bear
to Witness Any Longer
Cannot the Kingdom of Salvation
Take Me Home"
3:53 THE FEELS TRAIN HAS NO BRAKES.
the second solo is just pure... beauty, this version is just PERFECT. Also, the beginning & end are marvelous!
3:21 The feels train is coming! R.I.P. 20 minutes before September 27th.
Metallica used to write magic music.
The instrumentals especially. Nothing against james’ vocals, but the instrumentals Just felt magical. Even anesthesia (pulling teeth) and suicide and redemption.
And then Cliff died...
-That dude who didn't listen Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, Unforgiven III and Halo on Fire.
Cliff had the best taste in music and he brought it to Metallica. Unfortunately, the boys lost him so did we. It would be different Metallica now if he hadn’t died.
@@9-volt665 no its not
It really angers me when people say because your 13 u cant be a true metallica fan im 14 i have listened to every song have every vinyl and can appreciate the beauty and relevance of metallica i have to travelled far to see them and it deeply upsets me i could have not been alive in their glory days and the impact they have had on my life phenomenal i would like to thank you for youre beautiful version of this song
Metallica would bow to you if they ever heard you. just amazing.
Nah, the senile egomaniac moneybags only listen to their own farts.
@@jbertucci why are you watching this video if you dislike them so much matd?
@@maximilianogranifo9650 That argument is a little juvenile.
@@jbertucci just asking man, not criticizing
@@maximilianogranifo9650 I dislike what they've become. Up until 1989 they were great. At least as musicians.
VK, when I hear your ability to capture & release the dynamics expressed in the originals, the instrument disappears and pure communication flows through your talent. I was so skeptical when I saw a piano cover of a song that dwells in my mind every day. From the beginning, I was speechless. By the time we hit the interlude, I was reduced to uncontrollable tears, just like the first time I listened to this song on my walkman in 1988. God has blessed you wit a gift. Thanks so much for sharing...
From 3:55 is the best part...so melodic and beautiful. I liked this part in original version and here it's also sounds brilliant. Great WORK!!!!
I don't know if anyone feel the same but I cry whit this song.
Venat 0609 I do too
I have listened to a lot of videos of this song and you have it down. Your skills are to be admired. Thanks a ton for posting your quality content 👌
Thank you John
This song is a masterpiece, both in the original and in your version. Not only your skills are amazing, what truly makes the difference is the way you interpreted it. You really feel what you play, and it shows. Thank you.
My favourite part starts at 3.21
3:53 Obra maestra de la música clásica. Increíble. 😢
WOW!!!! Goosebumps at 3:23 and 7:30
AMAZING JOB!!!
Это не просто, но у вас это так легко и идеально!! Супер!!!! Благодарю!!!!!!!
Hi, I would ask your permission to play this at my funerals, thanks.
Sorrow In A Can you have more than one life? Are you a cat?
Darnell Turner In the Internet no one knows you're a cat
+Sorrow In A Can No one!
Darnells real name is Harry Monroe
This is my funeral song man. With permission. Everyone can have a good sook if they want to then they can get on with it and be happy and shit ))
I’ve heard this song played on a violin and that was great. Listening to you play this masterpiece on the piano is just phenomenal. Hats off to you to bro 🤘🏼
Thank you
This is my favorite cover version of this song.
Victoriya , in an ocean of mimics, copycats, imposters, and fakes, your genuine appreciation and love for this thing called music is undeniably the factor within your awesome sound, that sets you apart from all of the rest!
It doesn't hurt that you are also a virtuoso in your beautiful field of expertise!
I've been listening to you for many years now , and you deserve the best of everything that life has to offer. I hope that you forever smile .
Thank you
Thank you very much John. Big hug.
Whoever you are... Youre an incredible pianist.
So powerful. I still cry at the part in the middle every time I hear this, but it's even more haunting in this version.
this song drive me to cry....... is the most wanderfull melody ever, this is for you Cliff... thaks vkgoeswild!!!!!
What a masterpiece
The mid section melody is one of true beauty! Speaks directly to the listener's soul!
I could listen to this guy play piano all fucking day. So nice when someone is good at piano.
Love how you're fortissimo'ing the fuck out of that piano man shows the passion you have for this music, I had shivers the whole way through, epic.
I actually closed my eyes at 5:54 and gt goosebumps ALL over my body. It was SO enthusiastic! Thank you!!!
This is so beautiful it could easily make me cry
You have been given a rare gift vk and I love your videos. Thankyou for sharing with us.
ok... very emotional cover... i like it a lot.
"Cliff where are you..." i was imagin that... loose a friend... loose a soul musician friend..
RIP CLIFF BURTON
Thanks for this beautiful tune. Gonna dedicated this for my beloved Father.
Love the beginning and end of that song, and to hear it on the piano just made it even better gj and thanx for the hours of enjoyment you've given me.
This is absolutely stunning. What a great tribute and I just thought someone had done this on piano on a whim and searched it. THANK YOU!!!
She doesn't deserve our comments, she deserves more.
The world needs people like you to show that metal is more than just screaming and playing loud. Dobre!
I love how the keyboard was actually shaking in the heavy bit! You can so tell you're getting into it!
Fantastic!
I just found out about vk, yesterday and became instant fan,, for all those that say this is classical, your wrong, vk does metal proud, and for all the peeps that say stuff like "it was ok" or "coulda been better", you have know idea how hard it is, what she is doing is play bass on left hand and rhythm and lead on her right, she is focusing on 3 different tempos and playing them with only 2 hands so STFU and enjoy the god damn metal^^
As a metal head. I still headbanged
Don't really have the words to describe it...they should be found in the language of the heart. EXCELLENT work, EXCELLENT song, you captured the whole essence of the song and transposed it into a piano masterpiece. I mostly like it when you emphasize on the heaviest parts there, increasing the intensity of it all. Masterfully done, keep it up! HAIL! \m/
i just love your art.. you turn my most fav songs into another beautiful format.. pure beauty
this makes the song sound so much more bluesy. This is probably the coolest Metallica cover i've ever heard.
I admire you so much for your talent! I really loved this part 03:50
Only one of the best compositions ever - can't get over how amazing this whole song is and how good Metallica used to be.
***** I REALLY like Chopin of that list, he has this interesting bipolar or melancholy approach to the progressions...just amazing
That explains why I like Debussy and Chopin so much...
Middle part.. I love it.. Sad and beautiful at the same time
this song is going to be played at my funeral, thats for sure.
this song sounds great on piano
3:51 Eternal eargasm
I had chills before looking to the video.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Such a beautiful song...such a beautiful cover...just...thank you...
....and then i remember cliff...
beautiful cover
Unquestionably Metallica's best song. You've done it perfect justice.
This has to be your best metallica cover...
Seriously the intro is just magical!!! it is so sad, full of misery yet beautiful and dark...
Im crying like i lost someone. Incredible song! Thanks for this moment
I am just speechless . i can not believe how beautiful this song can get on piano . just wow
I love the end of this song it's amazing it makes my heart cry. especially this version!
when you listen to this song you feel the emotion. its like the troubles of metallica. it starts off all soft and calm and then they lose cliff and the song starts getting crazy, but in the end they find their new bassists and you hear cliff's favorite quote, kind of reinstating that he will never be forgotten and everything will be alright as the music gets nice and soft again.
I almosted cryed.... very well done
You made me cry like a baby. Thank you for doing this song. Long live Cliff Burton!
So much was put inside the song by You, astonishing! Слушается совсем иначе, чем первоначально! Молодчина!
everyone's crying while I can't get over how heavy the rhythm sounds
as always i love the slow down.you make it so beautiful
Perfect cover
3:53 OMG, that part is amazing. :,}
this song just works so well on piano, its awesome
Very Good, Great. In 100 years time this will be considered as classic music.
This song will be played at my funeral... and I might play your version because it's so raw with emotion. Beautiful.
Incredible, amazing, impressive, congratulations mate is a master piece
Goosebumps
omg i have to say it. It's the best, the most emotional cover of this song which i've ever heard, really u are amazing, i'm listening to this again and again... I'm playing (learning') the guitar but it's nothing it's not music u make music u can show us something from your heart, something beautiful, please keep playing and making our days better :)
I love the slower more melodic parts to Metallica's Instrumentals The intro and outro and the bridges to pieces like this. Their so elegant and satisfying to the mind. I really your piano playing, your my favorite pianist out there.
pure magic...its astonishing how a song can be so powerful and dramatic at the same time.....Cliff RiP....
In memory of Cliff Burton, to live is truly to die.
Yup thats what life is all about, to be taken away from you when you lease expect it. That why i love this song! Its deep
Practically every time I listen to this song, or Metallica's or your's version, it makes me cry. Makes me cry, because It's impossibly beautiful and emotional. Now, I'm crying. You should be proud, because there is only a few songs that makes me cry - most of them are Metallica's :)
Great composition from Metallica, flawless playing from VK
the introduction is just beautiful :')
The middle part always makes me cry. Yeah, I said cry!!......assholes. I always think of Cliff and then, Staley. When the guitar starts wailing, I start sobbing. Every damn time, it happens.
You're the best, Vika. Thank you for the music you bring to the world : )
YOUR BEST VIDEO BY FAR..,.!! MY FAVOURITE METALLICA SONG...! greetings from Venezuela.. cheers
That derpy face you make when you feel the music! Awesome man, Cliff would be honored.
This song so accurately encapsulates the stages of grief...from denial to anger to sadness and acceptance
Wow nice job on the re-do of this song! You r the best!
Great job, seriously, that was basically spot on.
it makes me happy that seemingly everyone, not just me, gets hit right in the feels during the interlude. I never knew that everyone associated that particular riff with Cliff's passing, I always thought it was just me. See you on the other side Mr Burton.
i love metallica and i can say that ''to live is to die'' is fantastic on piano..you did good work on this sheet! keep up the good work..!
Still headbanged the whole time
dude this is the best cover i've ever heard all time!!!!
2:20 is epic! I so love vk's Metallica covers, gets to me each time I listen
Idk how but that music is definition of song touching heart like i really feel magical when i listen to it
at 5.28 I had really fear! anyway lots of congratulations VK,it's not easy to listen to a cover that transmit intensly the same emotions as the original song! Congratulations again, you deserve them!
This playing sincerely touches my soul and heart deep inside each time I listen to it, And reminds me of somebody special. Thank you so much for this piece of art you've mastered, You are a very talented pianist.
Metallica was such a huge influence in a lot of our lives! They were/are for me!
I am so in friggin love right now !!
FUCK... I just cried... Seriously, I think this is the most emotional piece of music I've ever heard. You played it so well. RIP Cliff and THANK YOU 'Tallica for playing this shit for us... The keys ROCK!
