Hey budget builders, I see you! If you guys have anymore questions regarding the switches or keyboards, please feel free to join our discord server, The Hamaji Hub! discord.gg/FctUrGc
Just a suggestion can you put a link that goes directly to the parts you bought rather than just the website?
Those asmr moments were really good x)
More seriously, this was a really good video, well done hamaji ^^
Try Alpacas I've heard they're really good switches
Yo
Yes sir
Hamaji, the youtuber who was getting bored of TF2 and decided to be one of the best keyboard builder youtuber on my list.
Spooky once u make a mechanical keyboard video, u wont stop

THE EDITING IN THIS IS SO GOOD
Really makes me with i could edit
You should see the 10 stages
@Marcus Lim dunno it's just transition maybe he wanted a heart
Used the overlays really well
@Marcus Lim that's what I said
literally one of the most detailed explanations of gat switches yet. models material and composition. very well done my guy!
Wassup bro, 20th like
I was literally looking for a gateron yellow vids from you yesterday, this couldn’t have come at a more perfect time
Not gonna lie, the editing and presentation of these videos are really slick.
Really have no idea how it happened and why it happened but hamaji turned into a high quality tech reviewer and I have mixed feelings
You might want to read his twitlonger
@@nu3566 whats a twitlonger? send link pls
@@jonyfanfan4126 dammit i can't find that twitlonger. Just quick tl;dr, he no longer enjoys making tf2 contents and just want to move on to other stuff like mechanical keyboard
The editing is so GOOD!!
The amount and quality of keyboard content in this channel is producing is amazing. This channel is extremely underrated
Recent sub but i have to say this is one of the best edited keyboard channels out there and it gets straight to the point and no beating around the bush. Kudos to you man and i'm happy an actual asian friendly site is mentioned other than banggood
Rebultkeyboard? Malaysia?
I'm proud. Planning on buying the milky yellow from them actually. They are very friendly and willing to answer every question you have on their products.
never thought malaysian watching mechanical keyboards with me 😂😂
Just discovered this channel, I love how well made and professional your videos are. Great job man
The editing is just so smooooooth!
The editing that goes into this video is insane! Instant sub and favorite keyboard yter!
these keyboard videos are so useful, my laptop keyboard is all messed up after 4 years of typing and this will definitely help when getting a new keyboard.
God tier editing
Nice video! I love the editing and the it was really educational, I learned quite a lot!
I absolutely love your new keyboard videos, keep it up man
Great review! Would have loved to see the different switches being tested in the same position on the keyboard though. I think row and position on the keyboard can affect the sound signature quite a bit haha
dude, really nice videos. keep doing what you’re doing.
love ur keyboard vids man , very relatable and really good content! i had milky top black bottom, gateron blacks lubed and filmed and they sounded awesome! but i had no led shine through so i swapped the bottom housings with smd ones and now they sound (very noticeably) higher pitched, i think the bottom housing does make a huge diff to the sound.
This video popped up while i was looking for a video to watch while lubing my gateron yellow switches
Been needing more local stores to buy from! Glad to find out about their website!
yesss I’ve been waiting for this!

These keyboard videos are amazing to watch, such high quality vids it's unbelievable you don't have over a million subscribers. Keep up the great vids hope to see your name recognised as one of the biggest around mechanical keyboards in the future !!!
Also the editing and filming work you do is unreal makes it hella entertaining to watch, keep it up !!
O boy, give me more of these reviews pls. You are doing great ma man
Bro your videos are entertaining, informative, well edited, and very beginner friendly. 10/10 would recommend to people that aren’t even interested in keyboards.
from Tf2 to keyboards, Hamaji has always been helpful with videos. keep up the good work.
Production quality is fantastic. Thumbs up.
So cool to see you are suceeding with your new content, you can tell you really enjoy making it.
❤️
i've always just used whatever can type for keyboards, but since finding your channel and others like you, I decided to get into the hobby and I just ordered a Gamakay K61 with Gateron Yellows. Planning on lubing them, adding foam if there is space, and thanks to this video i'm considering film too. thanks for the info hamaji :)
just had a tofu65 build with gateron yellows last 2 months and decided to lube and film them a few days ago. and the difference in sound and feel is absolutely amazing. hours of desoldering and lubing and filming was definitely worth it. glad to see a video on gateron yellows, and subbed too (p.s bought from someone who built for me and i didnt ask him to lube cos i wanted to do myself, and save money, and also desoldering sucks)
its very impresive to see a very good switch with a low price, i think im in love with this
The information in here helped me quite a bit. I'm not getting Gateron yellows, but I am getting Gateron clears since I really want the lightest possible spring.
this editing is really good, also very informational :)
hi
loving your videos on mechanical keyboard switches neo keep it up
Used in my first build, okay performance, amazing value
I’m real glad I bought these, they really are great for their budget!
The teal are very similar. Teal feels a bit nicer but they are far more expensive.
That gk61 yellow switch sound test got me screaming by how smooth it sounds
Ma man, u just made my purchase decision easier. Great detailed vid!
yess new video i watched all of your builds
I WAS UST SEARCHING UP VIDEOS ABOUT THE BUTTRER BUT THEN YOU POSTED THIS THANK U
These keyboard videos are honestly amazing
Never really heard of people mentioning Malaysia, that’s where I live so quite glad

Watched a video with my gf last night about Malaysian food and we were both really interested in it :)
@@silver1838 the food or Malaysia?
Sound is so smooth
i'm using this lubed gateron yellow switches and really love them, the sound is satisfying
Recently I bought the Kemove Snowfox DK61 (the hotswap 5 pin PCB revision with yellow stabs), I got very lucky with the spacebar stab, it's almost perfect from the factory, no rattle at all. It came equipped with the SMD variant of Gateron Yellows, I must say, they are fantastic even in their stock form, still much smoother than other budget linears, a great start as this is my first mech keyboard, couldn't ask for anything better and I'm glad to see this switch making its own way into prebuilt keybs as a possible option.
thank you so much, this review has helped me a lot.
I was going to buy holy pandas and lube them but in my opinion I think that the Gateron yellow sound a lot better than those much more expensive switch after watching this video
Thank god for this video I needed to know more about them cuz I’m going to buy soon
That's a lucky for you moment in my list
Great video, super informative and entertaining! What about the Gateron Yellow Inks compared to the normal Gateron Yellows? You mention the Ink Blacks but not really the Ink Yellows.
This is really interesting. I am on a budget and I may just try the SMD Gaterons for RGB, but I also want to achieve some *thocc* on my typing so I’m also looking at the Milkies... maybe Milkies with Pudding Keycaps will satisfy my wants 🤔 i’ll look into it more. Thank you for this in depth review!
Can you do one on gateron optical yellows? Thanks! Keep up the good work bro
How.. Wait, why are you sooo good at editing
NovelKeys still stocks the milky top black bottom gateron switches. I use the yellows all the time on hotswap and soldered boards. They're some of my favorite and they owe it to their incredible spring. It's such a gentle spring that makes for a super comfortable typing experience.
Ah yes Hamaji tech tips, the only tech channel I can trust
Yoo I live in Malaysia and I didn't even know about rebult till now. Thanks neo for the reviews ♥️
You can find them on shopee, so yeah
@@jasperkueh6199 ahhhh okay tqsm😁
People online sometimes use a black top housing from cherry switches to replace the clear top gateron yellows to reduce the high pitched noise
what would you say is the most noticeable differences between these and reds, sound profile or feel?
Yellow switch sound is so amazing sounds to good
Funny thing is I tried to use some thicc films (~.22mm) on my milky yellows and the top housing was popping off on some of them. Don’t think it’s your fault either unless were both doing it wrong :D
I just bought these after watching this video. I lubed them myself with Krytox 205g0 and they are butter!! I love them so much!! I also did the general stab mods, re-lubing and taping PCB. I 100% recommend these switches to any Linear switch fan. You won't regret your purchase!
Thanks for the info bro! But do you think I should get these or the milky yellows. Just like Hamaji, I have a GK61 that I want to upgrade.
Didn't know you're Malaysian lmao nice review, totally clear and good explanation of the switches.
Love this review style!
Gateron Yellow is easily my second fastest switch after Gateron Brown, peaking at 82 WPM. Plus, it is the linear gaming switch that many people love.
These aren’t optical yellows. The video is about the mechanical yellows that are smooth as butter. These actuate at 2 mm while optical yellows actuate at 1.1mm
@@dabeasthalofan6276 he was talking about his typing speed, not switch speed.
@@_forestbor_6187 nvm, I see what u mean
I'm currently debating between the SMD yellows and milky yellows. It seems like the milky yellows have everything that I'm looking for, but I'm kind of worried that it'll block out the RGB (I have keycaps with shine-through legends so this is pretty important).
For those of you who have milky yellows, how much does the milky housing impact the RGB? I will get the SMD variant if it's bad.
Thank u for the review, I'm getting Gateron black inks, glorious gmmk, and ducky horizon keycaps

Akko switches: I'm about to end this man's whole carrer.
Amazing video, explained all I needed to know about the yellows!
Btw, i cant find any reviews or specs on the gateron silvers, whats the differences between gateron silvers and yellows?

is such a good RUclipsr
I don’t know much about keyboards but me watching this has taught me more than I thought it could thanks Hamaji

Chilli i just might
Ruglia Ok, it’d really nice
How do Gateron blacks hold up against the yellows ? Besides the heavier actuation force, how do they compare in sound and smoothness ? Thanks !
I got them, with a Skyloon GK61 (aluminium version), lubed all of them incl the spacebar etc, taped the plate and some foam added. For around € 150,- i really have nice keyboard now which i enjoy everyday for like 3 years now. Amazing stuff
hey im new in keyboard enthusias. what should i pick for the best typing experience (for linear switches) between gateron "stock" black or gateron yellow?
you earned a sub brother
im kinda new with this whole keyboard thing, im just wondering what is the namw of the website or app that he used in his typing speed test? thankss
Quality content!
I kinda like how the keeb sounds hollow, it makes the switches sound a little higher pitched, which is kinda satisfying to me sometimes
also, i think i might build this exact keyboard, but i will probably use different color keycaps and maybe paint the case a different color
love gat yellows, fantastic starter switches for anyone new to mechanical keyboards.
'durex'
It dries out really fast especially when you're doing ur thing with ur nether regions
Yeah
now imagine doing that with krytox
I guess it's gonna be a silent nut if you use Krytox
@@kayoriskeyboards Does it have a tactile bump?
How did you get that soft thock on the modded gk61? I have a gk61 and I wanna know how you modded it for that soft sound...I would appreciate it alot if you gave me the tips.
Is that blank xda you are using ? Finally a comrade 😌
I want to see an entire series dedicated to all the main "basic" switches.
Seriously hamaji, I'd love to see that!
Definitely!
What about the Gateron Ink Yellows? I'd be interested to see the difference with the ink housing and how it stacks up the Ink Blacks.
okay I dont know shit abt keyboards but these videos are super interesting and have that classic Hamaji Neo Polish
2:00 Vintage Cherry MX Blacks and Nixies is a nice example of this.
thank you!
Hi hamaji neo remember me! At the klcc gaming carnival. You teach how to be a great youtuber. I was the kid in sitting front of you.
Hi! What do you mean by upgrade when you are saying "Upgraded GK61"
I would like to make my first keyboard with a GK61XS, its the bluetooth one
Hamaji Tech Tips
are there gateron yellow switches and gateron optical switches, or is this the same thing?
Hi Hamaji Neo! Would you recommend the gateron milky yellows over the kailh box black switches?
I have just used the box whites and though they're clicky I instantly noticed improvement in typing speed... I was wondering if it would be the same with box blacks just that it's linear, however I've been looking at getting the gateron milky yellows even before I got these box whites. :) Thanks in advance!
i have the milky gateron yellows lubed with krytox and filmed on my tofu acrylic and they sound amazing :)
Perfect I'm a fan of high pinch sound
Nice comparison. My only suggestion is to color code each of the items compared
I am making my keyboard for the first time and I'm excited to see it :D
Should I get the normal Gateron yellows or the milky ones?
What website did you use for the typing test? Solid editing and video overall btw! Really makes me want to start video editing again plus the information was really well delivered :))
It's called monkeytype
