My first thought was "holy shit, this is real!?" Followed immediately by "they should probably turn off comments on videos like these. I can't wait to read comments on this shit!" I would love to see injury/bloopers for this, it has to be fucking epic!
As I read the comments, I am reminded of the line in the interview "It is some place where girls can be free---where there are no boys to tell them how they should be." Bingo.
Something gives me the impression that it isn't sexism that is preventing running with a stick between your legs from being an established sport. Just a thought. By no means any disrespect to girls who enjoy doing this by the way. It's certainly good that they're getting exercise.
Professional redditor here: I can clearly see the feminist aspect the girl is talking about, however the lack of gay and transgender horses concerns me. There also seems to be an utter lack of PoC horses, which makes it seem like a white supremacist sport. Very disturbing pictures.
I think it is hard enough to jump these obstacles without a glorified broomstick between your legs. So, even though I stopped doing hobby horsing at the age of 5 I do recognize the sporting achievement.

Pinewood derby isn’t a sport it is just an event for young scouts which now includes girls
Were do they get those type of hobby horses there bootiful!
My first thought was "holy shit, this is real!?" Followed immediately by "they should probably turn off comments on videos like these. I can't wait to read comments on this shit!"
I would love to see injury/bloopers for this, it has to be fucking epic!
This is incredible and it looks so fun!
Dag man, I used to think that it was the Japanese who were crazy
The world's not ready for Unicorns
where can I get a full copy of this competition?
@3:15 I punched something
I’d be laughing so hard if I was there
I don't think I've laughed so hard in so long.
The trotting is the greatest thing ever. Any time i feel down and need a laugh; this is the go to deal 😂😢😢
Well at last it helps u
Hobby horsing is my hobby!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kungshälls Käpphästar do you actually do this…well that’s 2018 for ya
Mets Manica Yes, I do
The crowd is on the edge of their seat.. WOW
If my child turned out like this I would be disappointed
This is so ridiculous in the best possible way and I love it. What a neat hobby!
Yeah it’s so fun 😆
When and where they practice this? I can’t believe it!
Ok, now im impressed, where do i sign up. My name is Joshua Whitaker
Wish this was a thing in Britain
I AM GONNA MAKE MY OWN HOBBY HORSE
U GO GIRL! GO MAKE IT
I love this. Wished there was something like this when I was a kid...
AHHH, ICH KENN DICH VON DEN WaCa repaints :D
I think it is hard enough to jump these obstacles without a glorified broomstick between your legs. So, even though I stopped doing hobby horsing at the age of 5 I do recognize the sporting achievement.
Where can I buy hobby horses?😊🙂😍🐎❤☺😀😘
How is the drug testing done? Omg, the trotting is the best thing ever.
This is my first time watching the Special Olympics.
I mean whatever makes you go out and make friends my dudes.
I especially love how they are just running, like there not even pretending to canter 😂
America, where u at?
I can't wait to see men also take up this sport and then see it at the Olympic Games. This shouldn't be a girl only sport.
You are not serious right?
@@shom924 are you sexist
instagram brought me here
Nadia Jeigh same
NPR brought me here lolol
This is like an air-drumming competition.
Watching this while the training montage music from Rocky IV plays makes this soooo much better.
Am I the only one who kind of wants to like try this? It would honestly be fun to be able to make reins and decorations for it.
