    Gorgeous! Looks better than new! These were great tractors in their day.

    Beautiful paint job, looks like new. I think you will be able to adjust the steering box a little, which if I remember, is a matter of slacking a locknut then screwing the centre screw a little.
    Then spin the steering from lock to lock (off the ground), if it feels tight anywhere, then it is too tight.
    Molly Slip, is made with Grafite & also helps to make your steering smooth. 👍🔧🇬🇧

    Beautiful job!! I have 3 here in the US.. They weren’t popular because the guys that fought in WW2 didn’t like anything that wasn’t made in America .. They were great tractors and extremely fuel efficient!

    My compliments again on another complete and quality restoration. It is very similar to what my fading memory is of them leaving the factory in 1964 when I commenced work with Ford. You are fortunate to have the raised PTO, but I notice the cover is missing, as is the top link. No doubt these are yet to be fitted. I like the bonnet end strips, carefully placed to prevent paint damage, and I am wondering what the fitting is on the left side rail below the generator. Alltogether a top job and maybe the Custom ute at the gateway is the next project, but probably not. Best regards and I hope to see more.

      Nice to hear from you again Austral, Yes they would have been great times working for Ford in the 60s, I have never come across a PTO cover, But of course the Farmers were never that WHS Compliant! The third link can be added at some stage. The assembly just below the Generator is a Isolator switch to earth on the Generator earthing pole, I always fit isolators to Fordsons because the original Fuse circuits were almost non existent. I am in the closing stages of at DT Lanz Bulldog and GMC truck you will see them soon, All the Best, Richard

    Such a stunning restoration, excellent work! I am intrigued by the wheel centers as I have not seen those options prior to your video. Here in The South of Michigan, ours are typically fitted with either 16.9-30” or 13.6-38” rears and 7.00-16 fronts on 6 bolt stamped ag rims. I’m familiar with seeing the cast front wheels in the U.K., but nothing like yours. Is this a common configuration in Australia?
    Thank you for sharing, Tedd

      The Australian Fordson had wheel centres cast locally and tyres fitted that well suited the sandy light soils. The pre cleaner I believe was an Australian fitting. Humpys Super Major has lost its original Yuba spark arrestor made in Geelong and fitted to many tractors and harvesters in the 1950s, 60s, 70s.

      @@davidrobertson376 Thank you David for taking the time to explain.
      I hate to say it, but it would appear as though Australia received the best version of this offering.
      Blessings to you, Tedd

      @@sawsurgeon Greetings Todd, from Australia. I should have included that David Brown and Leyland also had similar arrangements. They also had local roller swinging draw bars fitted that allowed for better turns with wide trailing implements. I suggest you check you tube "Fixing Frodsons Australia". He has many videos covering the Australian Fordson.
      Thank you for your blessings. And return eternal blessings to yourself as we celebrate the arrival of our saviour amongst us.
      Dave.

      How did you get the 2 remote hydraulic pipes fitted, would you please upload a video or photo of the hydraulic pipe system Thanks 😊

    • @humpygarage9779
      @humpygarage9779  Год назад +2

      Hi Captain, The later Fordsons had two hydraulic ports in the top block, I simply ran two hoses to a mount on the back with brake-away fittings, The earlier Fordsons had 1 port and you can simply T-Piece those to make it work, I hope this helps.@@captainteeling7002
