    I'm in the market for a Tacoma right now. From my research I have come to the following conclusion
    If buying a new Tacoma, get the TRD Off road 4x4. It retains its value the most with the sport 4x4 in second. It costs a little more initially, but the price between a used SR5 4x4 and TRD 4x4 is massive.
    I'll probably go with a used SR5 4x4. Best bang for buck and I don't plan on rock climbing.

      False, I leased a Ram two years ago, $2000 down, $125/mo for 24 months. I'm now able to trade it in and make $2100. I essentially got a brand new truck for two years for $2900, it was a great deal! I'm going to do it again on a Taco!

    Love the exterior of Tacoma but unless I want to spend $50k plus their interior is lacking, IMO. Yes their reliability and resell are unmatched and they know this so they can offer less on mid level trims than the competitors.

    • @carsongalaxy
      @carsongalaxy 4 года назад

      I have an sr and just upgraded from a 2003 tundra so I find the interior amazing, just wish the steering wheel could sit higher.

    • @kevindsmith10000
      @kevindsmith10000 4 года назад

      @@carsongalaxy Coming from a 17 year old truck I would assume a new upgrade at any trim is going to be superior. I'm driving an 04 Acura MDX touring that's on it's last legs and want to get a Tacoma but I'm a stickler on having leather seats with 3 kids. I'm debating on getting a 17 through 19 Frontier Pro 4X because the leather, sunroof and other options are unmatched in something you can buy at or around $25k. $1500 in my own upgrades would make the little 6 cylinder truck go. I love the Tacoma limited but even a 3 year old with 50k miles is $30k.

    • @tkane435
      @tkane435 3 года назад

      Drive a base Chevy or Ford, and you will find a lacking interior! At least these aren’t a giant square with a screen in the middle. The Toyota at least have a little styling. To each their own I suppose.

    You can buy LED headlights from headlight revolution for $360. I have the TRD Off Road and will probably never ever will take it off road, should have gotten the SR 4x4 Double Cab. The sensors are annoying truthfully and I wish they would go away (minus backup camera). I had a 2019 VW Golf R for 1 month and got tired of the sensors and traded it in on a Tacoma, glad I did but wish I would of went basic Tacoma.

    This truck cost more than my 2019 TRD OFF ROAD double cab 4x4 Tacoma. I am glad I purchased the 2019. In addition to paying less I have more options on mine. The cement color is nice though. If I did not buy in 2019 I would still go for a Tacoma (even with a higher price) due to the reliability, quality and resale value.

    Pretty disappointed with my 2020 sr5 taco. Mine did not come with fog lights. Slider rear window, power outlet on the bed. And with that being said. It feels like I bought a sr with a sr5 price tag.. I do plan on selling it anyway and purchasing a trd offroad down the road anyway. Tho i am not disappointed with the features and performance. Even for a sr 4 cylinder or v6. They are fun and cool to drive imo. Plus toyota offers a lot for their cars especially the safety and sensors etc. Entertainment yadayada. Compare to other manufacturers.

      The sport has a nicer handle on the road, but will cost for the tech it comes with also. I bought an sr5 cuz i dont drive trails or off road too much. 4x4 for the snow and a little mud every once in a while. The sr5 has done everything I've asked it to, no complaints. I tow a 16ft aluminum boat in the mountains and have no problems.
