- Ramekins are great additions to any kitchen. I love them for holding my recipe ingredients and they make the cutest little baking dishes. I encourage you to make a set of four (or more) because one just isn’t enough.

OMG you just changed my world 😉 I've rolled a lot of coils over the years but anyways struggled unable to make them round. That has changed completely overnight because of your tip on how to roll just in one direction. Thanks!! Now it works every time ❤🙏👍🌸

You are a great teacher. Very clear instructions but fun too. I dislike coiling so the tip about rolling the coil may help me. Thanks.

I can’t believe I found your videos again! I have watched so many of them and so grateful to have found you again. Do you have a video of the finished plates that you hung up?!?
loved that tip for making coils, I kept getting flat spots and having to twist the coil
Hi Jessica, This is an older video, but I am always looking for projects to do with my kids’ class at our local rec center. My next class will be making ramekins. I would have smoothed the rim before putting putting the side wall on the bottom. Thanks for the idea.
HI! I follow you from Italy, yours advices are so useful and you're really funny :) love you saying: "tu-tu-tu" LOL!!
I follow your work, learn from you a lot thanks.
Sooooo many tips!!! TY!
Wonderful video! Thank you so much!!
I will be making these a great tutorial thank you so much.
Probably some things to consider when making items for food - it may be better to have smoother sides inside for easier cleaning. Ramekins are great for microwaving and making individual soups or keto breads, many other items. Some uses for old crochet lace particularly from past ancestors is to use it for impressions on clay. It is a great way to remember loved ones.
Muchas gracias, excelente explicación.
You crack me up! You explain things so well.. thank you. You can sing..
lol.... I am terrible at singing but it makes me so happy... who knows maybe I'll get better the more I do it! ;)
Jessica Putnam-Phillips , I love singing, too.. I sing to my dog. It works. She loves it. I think you should keep singing, too.. it’s good for your soul..
Loved that, Thank You.. I missed you at NCECA,,, What booth were you at?
Yayyyy you're back! So nice to see your cheerful face !! How cute is that dish! Question: where's the best place to get this type of clay? Thanks so much! I think it's amazing what you're doing and I can't wait to see your pottery on display!!
Super! Biorę się za robotę! Może mi się uda coś takiego zrobić. Pozdrawiam! :)
Glad to see you’re back. What was the resource for the rolling pin you designed? Do thy carry other designs or do have to design your own?
I really like this little pot. I used to love playing with clay. Jessica, can I use the clay in this video to make sculpture? Are these baked in a Klin or a regular oven? I've not had one before. Great job by the way, you make it look so easy.
Thanks for the sponge tip! I use those yellow sponges and I hate when they bring those groggy on the surface. Going to order it now. Do you mid fire your ramekin or high fire them?
Can you pit fire the glazed ramekins? Im just starting pottery and learning on my own as there is no close teaching facility, and I don't have a kiln, but I can dig a pit or improvise some other way. Thank you for the video, I learned a lot. Cheers!
thankyou for sharing Jessica
Try using old bed sheets or T-shirts in the slab roller. I do and like the result.
Beautiful and wonderful.. Dear, after the work is dry , What kind of eyes and varnishes do you use ? Good greeting .
Very nice
Jessica do you bake the glaze 3 different times or do you glaze 3 times then bake?
I’ve never seen textured tour quite turn out that beautiful. Is it layered over something?
Appreciate your videos and love your sense of humor......I Just went to clayshare but could not find the daisy roller - want to order one - where can I find this ? Cheers from British Columbia, Canada!
good video. thanks.
Awesome
Hello! Love the rolling pin you are using - Daisy - however, your website shows you out of most any kind of rolling pin. Do you still carry them? Do you still have the one with Daisies? Thanks much!! Loved the video!!
Very nice ... Where do we get this paste ? Do you dry them with heat ? What kind of dyes are used for this paste? Thank you
You're such a sweetheart - I'm going to adopt you as my online sister :D
Thanks! You can never have too many brothers or sisters!
Could you please tell me how to purchase things you use on videos? Tried to find on ClayShare app, and email. Would like purchase several things. I’m probably doing something wrong. I love watching and making pottery, what I know about it! Thank you so much for sharing. You inspire me😊🙏❤️
Hi Jessica, Just subscribed. I started watching because your cute, but then I became interested in what you were doing. I am digging stumps up around my place and have a lot of red- Tan clay (south Texas) I'm going to try to make some dishes. How long should I let it dry before firing? This will be my first attempt, I have never done anything with clay.
Glad you found me and stuck around long enough to become interested in making pottery yourself! You will want to let you clay dry till it is "bone dry' that will depend on the type of clay, the thickness of the clay and the humidity in your area. For me that means about 3 weeks for things to dry enough to be fired,
Do you wedge the clay when you slab build?
Can you discuss using pottery in the microwave oven please. Thanks Jessica
Hi Jessica! I have a question about not pre-heating your oven, but just putting your pie in when the oven is cold. If the recipe says to bake the pie shell for 20 mins at 425 F, how long would I bake it for from starting in a cold oven?
Cool
Hello Jessica one question how long did you let yous pieces dry before put in a kiln for bisq
Can you please share where you bought your daisy rolling pin? Love it!
She designed it herself and it is for sale on her online market on ClayShare.com
What is bake ware type clay, I want to make some like yours and a casserole dish
Is stoneware cone 6 clay ok for ramekins?
What was the finished dimensions after firing?
ok for production pottery
Always fun to watch you, thank you, I actually saw you at NCECA last March and you inspired me to make more videos, pls. Check them out.
S
Hello Madam, you've got too many dishes.
Thank you. ;). Where did you get the daisy rolling pin please?
@@kathleenwoffordencaustics5633 You can find them here: claysharemarket.com/product-category/textured-rolling-pins/
I would have started again when the roller didn't imprint properly and could never leave a seam ! Arrgghh I had to stop watching. My OCD is so triggered!!
